theres some spoilers so keep that in mind

exactly seven days ago, from when i typed this i guess, i kinda had this anime craving that really wouldnt go away. its been a little while since ive seen anything because i havent really found anything that really interested me. so i decided to do a little reserch on some interesting anime and chose Suzuka and Eureka Seven. Suzuka because i have a thing for romance anime and from all the searches i did it stood out as something similar to the romances i liked before. And Eureka Seven because... im not quite sure. i think because i missed my chance on Adult Swim because i always catch their anime halfway through and dont even bother because its way too involved and ill just ruin it for myself.
i alternated between watching both and once i got about halfway though suzuka i pretty much dropped Eureka Seven to finish Suzuka. i really liked it and all but i find Suzuka to be rather frustrating. its really sweet how she finally fell for him, or atleast decided to follow through i should say. up until the end she was frustrating and it made it a little harder for me to like the anime even more...
by the way i tend to get really attached to animes that im watching. emotionally attached to the characters and such. i think its a bit uncommon for people to attach themselves this much rather than just enjoy it as an anime but im sure some of you are out there see it like i do.
Eureka Seven was simply amazing. i know its not entirely romance and it was a mecha sort of anime but i think it deserves to belong here just as much.
wow, i honestly cant remember the last time ive cried. it must have been years. and the closest ive gotten since was my eyes swelling up and getting all red ALMOST to the point of crying because of other anime.
so.. tonight was the first time ive cried in a very long time. i finshed Eureka Seven and it was so overwhelming. i cant describe it. i just get so attached to the characters and their feelings..
the last few episodes i cried, actual tears. not just sadness, but an overwhelming sense of many feelings. sometimes just sadness, sometimes just happiness, and sometimes a mix of everything
Eureka Seven was a real treat for me. i really enjoyed it and how it made me feel.
i hope i can find more anime like these soon. it doesnt have to be romance but i really like them.

i hope some of you have found these to be as touching as i found them. Eureka Seven in particular.

maybe this doesnt exactly belong here but i really wanted to get it out anyways before i forget how great i felt.

anyone have any similar experiences? was it from some other anime? which anime was it from and please no spoilers lol. id like to enjoy it as much as you did too

I just recently finished Suzuka myself. I pretty much dropped EVERYTHING I was doing for two days last week and dedicated myself to that anime.

And yes, a very similar experience. I have never been so .. emotional to an anime. lol. it was very intense. I'm into normal "guy" anime i suppose. IE Wangan Midnight. Initial D etc. lol. But i watched the first three episodes, told my girlfriend about it. she watched the series, and we both watch the last episode together.

really great anime, i have to check out more! I reccomend it!

Basically, Boy, Yamato Akitsuki moves into his aunts all girl dormatory complex in order to attend high school in Tokyo. There he meets this girl Suzuka Asihina, and falls in love. He watches her perform a pullvault seeing it to be the most beatuful thing he's ever seen.

From there, he finds out she's living in the same complex as him. And the whole anime, is their struggles. I dont want to give away too much. so thats all i give you.

Through and Through, it was a DARN good anime. Very though provoking and tear jerking. Perfect for the firday night with that special some one.

That sounds amazing....

The really cool part about the anime, its SOOOO relateable. Either you, or some one you know has gone through the same situation. It hits so close to home.

I've never watched Suzuka, but I love Eureka 7! It takes a while for the story to really start moving (like a few seasons...), but once it does it gets really good!
