OK, i've been searching for this for ages but with the actual amount of anime out there i could quite easily overlook it from the huge lists.
I don't remember many specifics but this is what i do remember. I'm pretty sure it was in space but they also visited planets. At least 2 of the cast would 'transform' into a gundam type suit - ie the 'robot suit' seemed to emerge from within them and encase them in maybe a battle armour. Each transformation was supposed to do damage to their bodies or something alone those lines and i seem to also remember something about an upgrade, or evolution or something from maybe within a caccoon?
Sorry to be so vague but that's all that i really remember. For any australians out there it was shown weekdays before school somewhere in the late 80's early 90's and possibly on agro's cartoon connection or similar.
You'll make me an incredibly happen man if i can remember this because i never saw the last few episodes and even tho i can barely remember it i still remember being pissed off about not seeing the end few episodes!:banghead:
