Well, the name MaruDashi is still in use by me. Her sister, MoroDashi's name is also being used by another member o_O

Alright then...the meaning of marudashi (丸出し) is more or less:
to be exposed/to be naked

Actually to be more precise, it doesn't necessarily mean to be naked.
To be exposed, yes.

丸 means round or ship.
出 is typically used for exit, but means to leave/exit
So I don't know how it came to this meaning but whatever.

Marudashi is more likely to mean bare; exposed; or undisguised.

Also, we don't know the kanji to the name itself therefore it is pretty hard to really interpret what the name MaruDashi really means.

Maru and Moro's name [マル＆モロ] from what Ive seen [the reference section of the manga] is described as 'exposing oneself in public' and is supposed to be a bit of a pun to the 'xxx' part of the series's title [xxxHolic].


I cant seem to find the official writing for just Maru with the last name Dashi @_@

Maru - まる Dashi - 出し
Maru is a hiragana-only name, it's not one of those kanji names.

Interestingly enough, Enamdict gives Dashi some okurigana, which I've never seen seen on a name before. Usually it's only kanji or only hiragana.
