I really like School Rumble, even though I've only read the first two volumes of the manga. It's really funny.

Tenma is my favorite character! She's so cute what with her crazy antics and her little... um... pigtails? xD Also, I love her determination. She's willing to do pretty much anything to be with Karasuma.

I'm not too far into the series to know who my least favorite character is right now. But by the looks of it I'd have to say Eri Sawachika. She seems like a snob to me right now.

I'm not too into the romance part of this series. I'm too focused on the comedy. But I am curious as to why Tenma even likes Karasuma. He seems boring to me. Or is it because he's one of those cool & collected kinda guys? Whatever. To each their own, I guess. Imo, Harima & Tenma don't look very good together, nor do Karasuma & Tenma. xD

Not too many parts to be memorable for me so far... but I guess my favorite parts would be when Tenma was drawing with her eyes closed in that art class, when Tenma forgot to write her name on a test and Harima was trying to tell her, and when Tenma got locked in the ball room. These all range from volumes 1 - 2, of course.

OMG, I love School Rumble. I finished watching both seasons in less than two weeks. I was one of the funniest anime I've ever watched, and I really liked the opening from the second season.

My favorite characters were Harima and Ichijou. Even though Harima is a punk, I like how his attitude changes whenever someone is in need. And the reason I like Ichijou is because she's strong and calm. I think she could get someone better than Imadori. He's just weird and perverted.

I'm wondering the same thing. I think that's the reason I don't like Tenma that much. I also happen to hate Karasuma because he's so weird and boring, that he reminds me of myself.

I think that Hanai should be with Sou, Harima should be with Tenma's sister, and Tenma should be with Karasuma ('cause they're both weird).

I think the most memorable times in school rumble were the sports festival, and the shooting competition they had at school. Those were my favorite episodes of the whole series.

I love School Rumble unfortunatley i don't have both seasons yet but im working on it, my favriot characters are Hige, yakumo, icijou actually i like them all they all contibute to the story that gives it its awsomeness, there is just one character i don't like and its Karasuma, actually stop making it sound like im just copying SigmaSD im just going to say I totally agree with SigmaSD sofar I haven't seen the second season yet. If anyone can tell me where i can maybe download it that would be a great help and i will forever be in your debt

School Rumble is one my top favourite anime series! I have all the soundtracks, both seasons and their respective OVAs, and have all but two of the current English translations of the manga.

To be honest, there's nothing about the series I dislike. I love all the characters and their wide range of personalities, which makes the series that much more interesting, and in my mind is what makes it so successful.

But my favourite characters are Harima and Yakumo. Despite Harima can be insensitive at times, he is a good person, and I enjoy how he develops as a character during both seasons. And Yakumo is very reserved, honest and caring, but she is also very mature compared to other characters (and in an a cast of countless characters, the majority of them are immature in their own, unique ways...like Imadori and Hanai!). There are a few other mature characters, like Ichijo and Sarah; and Eri, although she tends to have an arrogant feel at times, can also be very mature in certain situations.

In regards to relationships between characters, I have no preferences who should get together. I would rather see the characters and any relationships they may develop as the story unfolds. By this, I mean the everyday lives of the characters.

In the first season, my favourite episode is where Tenma attempts to express her love to Karasuma with message on an arrow. In the second season, the second and third episodes, where the students of 2-C try to decide what even they should have for the cultural festival in a survival game with bb guns. Those two episodes were very dramatic, and I like how the characters treated it like an actual war by acting dead. It was vastly different compared to the rest of series, but hey ... in those episodes, they actually get to have school rumble!

Out of the OVA, San Gakki 26 was dramatic and emotional, with Karasuma losing his ability to think and how Tenma never gave up.

Other highlights I like: The celebrations after the cultural festival, where Harima eats Tenma and Eri's rice balls and virtually passes out from the taste alone; the scene where Harima and Hanai are dribbling basketballs as they agree to get Tenma back from class 2-D (this was the episode where Harima and Hanai gamble all the students of 2-C to 2-D); the curry episode, where to make amends for betting their classmates to 2-D, Hanai and Harima enter the volcano curry competition.

There is also the scene where Harima, dressed as santa, rides Tenma's curry plate to get through a blizzard in order to submit his manga. That was a cool scene, but it was also very sad afterwards when Tenma gives Karasuma rice and curry on the remains of the plate. The New Years episode where Harima, dressed as a lion dancer with Eri, devours Imadori; and the ski holiday where Imadori majorly embarrasses Lala during an ice skating competition.

Sorry, for the rambling. I was just watching the series over the last three days!

Okay, I have a question. Why did Harima sometimes refer to Eri-chan as "ojo"? And also, what does "ojo" mean?


And a brief comment: The sub version was extremely better than the dub version. Harima sounds really stupid in the dub version.

I adore School Rumble.

My favourite character is Tenma simply because she is adorable and humourus. I also like her hair. When I laugh whilst watching School Rumble it is mostly due to Tenma and the things that she does.

I also like Harima. I find it funny how solid and tough he is yet he has an extremely large emotional spot for Tenma and goes through extreme lengths to try and get her to notice him. Watching him is similar to watching Tenma only he does so much more to attract attention.


I like watching School Rumble as it leaves a nice atmosphere when watching it. It is just simply fun to watch, and the animation is decent too. It has a lot of characters too, all different from one another.

'tis not at all as good as Azumanga Daioh, but it is still amazing and worth watching.

I found out that San Gakki is actually the third season, however it is very ambigious. It appears that School Rumble third season will not officiaaly be released, but will be treated as though it has been. San Gakki Episodes 25 and 26 are the only known episodes three to have been officially released.

I enjoyed School Rumble, but I really didn't quite understand a part in the ending. Did Tenma actually confess her love for Harima? It didn't seem quite right because it was sudden.

Anyways I've read.. all 283 chapters, was pretty darn good but then two chapters ruined everything, an epic failure.

Currently into School Rumble Z.. with hardly any evidence of it being connected to the first manga.

Well then, my fave character is Eri Sawichika. Why? She's the reason I began reading the manga, with her and Harima it's just pure comedy.
