and i like the guy that i think sent it...........

How well do you no the guy? if you no him well then ask him in a 'I don't care way'....'Don't suppose you sent me this!'. If you don't know him then simply say 'Someone told me you sent this I don't know why they said it was you they just said......' and turn it into a he said she said thing. That way the blame or embarrasment doesn't get put on you. XD
If not why not just ask him out?

Oh and haven't you posted this in the completely wrong forum? shouldn't this be in the Off-Topic section?

When that happened to me, I just asked one of my friends who I thought sent it. After she said yes, I just responded back. It's no big deal if you ask the person you think sent it. It's better than sending secret admirer messages to the wrong person.
