I take it you like space anime. Not really my thing, but you may want to check out these:
Trigun (series)
Akira (movie)
Vandread (never seen it, but series?)
Kitty Grade
Code Geass
Bubble Gum Crisis (series)
Aeon Flux (series? iunno)
DearS (series)
Ergo Proxy (series?)
Some of those aren't exactly the manly type of anime, but may or may not be worth watching. If you are more specific I could help more.

Yeah i love the manly smart anime such as Ghost in the shell & bebop! Trigun is also awesome. But really really dislike the childlish, perverted ones with big faces and distorted bodies (cant name any coz they are banned in my mind).
So if you know anything resembling bebop, outlow star, GTS saga, trigun please let me know. THanks
Seen akira, like it. its dark... also love Afro Samurai; samurai x; ...bad boy anime!

How about GunGrave?? Its a cool series. I would also recommend Berserk if you like Afro.

Gunslinger Girl, and Elfen Lied are right up your alley then. Very dark, manly, and strong plot. Also, I hear Basilisk is very bloody and dark and awesome.
If you don't mind a bit of comedy mixed in (which it appears you don't), then I also highly recommend Chrno Crusade.

If you liked bebop, you'll love samurai champloo. It's by the same director and he uses a lot of what he did in bebop in champloo. The story is awesome and so is the way he set everything to music, as in bebop. I really recommend watching Samurai Champloo to anyone who enjoyed Cowboy Bebop.
Also you might like some of the Gundam animes? Gundam SEED is a good one for plot as well as the themes it brings up, and G Gundam is just awesome as far as fighting and action.

I would check out Trigun and Gungrave (although Geneon is no longer with us so you might have some trouble tracking down the DVDs)
