I wasn't aware that belonging to a forum meant that you HAVE to comment on another's drawings.
Attention I tell you, attention.
See you never.

Wow this forum is so terrible just a few comments would have been cool but no apparently there's no one out of the 1,000's of people here that can comment and no I don't have a sheltered life you idiot.

i am sorry for you, i understand exactly how you feel. people like you and me tend to be rather sensitive and needy by nature...

teed

Kids, play nice. No need to be mean even if the person is an attention seeker. And most definitely, no spamming. O_o Stop posting crap, please.

You should stop complaining. I checked your art thread last night and you got your few comments. And know this, not many people here check the Fan Art forum so it's normal not to get lots of comments. Only very few give constructive critiques to art works and they're not around much. The others are either being nice or don't really know what they're saying. So just give it some time and maybe if you posted more interesting drawings your thread would get more attention. >_>

Like teed says, not many checks that forum.
You should get a deviantart acc and post your work there.

SK Aleks

Okay I realize that now sorry for being a burden.

Why not start a fan art group on here?
There are groups for those who makes signatures/wallpapers and such, so why not fan art

SK Aleks
11-24-2008, 11:50 AM
If no one here like you stated earlier looks at fan art or drawings then whats the point in starting one.

El Wiseguy
11-24-2008, 11:52 AM
Just remember, even though it isn't really a "mistake" on your part, it still falls under the same category as don't blame others for your mistakes.
And yeah, just ask people to look at your thread next time, instead of expecting them to. :)

SK Aleks
11-24-2008, 11:54 AM
Ask who I don't know anyone and who would look at them after what I did

teed
11-24-2008, 12:06 PM
You can make friends here and ask them to check your thread. You can also put a link to your thread in your signature and post around. Then members would see your sig and click on the link to your thread. That way you get more chances of getting comments from others. It doesn't matter what you did. If you made intelligent posts, you'll get more respect from members and therefore, more people would take a look at your thread.

It's hard to make a fan art group for many reasons. Not many people are interested in that, they don't have the time since drawing (well) is time consuming, and not many are that good in drawing. People would want to see something that's really good and impressive. Something that would grab their attention, in my opinion. So it's quite difficult.

SK Aleks
11-24-2008, 12:11 PM
Well then theres really no point here I wanted show my drawings but if no one here cares for art and wants something impressive then I'm screwed.

El Wiseguy

So... you're leaving? Make up your mind, this thread was derailed 8 posts ago.

SK Aleks
11-24-2008, 12:20 PM
Basically whats the point of being here if no one here likes fan art

El Wiseguy
11-24-2008, 12:28 PM
If you registered expecting to only chat in your art thread, you should have been prepared for a short time here. Seriously, there's a lot more to do here than that. And you seem to be off and on about staying or leaving. I suggest you see to it that this current situation is resolved postehaste.

teed
11-24-2008, 12:35 PM
It seems you did not understand what I said. Did I ever say "no one"? Your thread got 90 views so far and growing. That's no one? Did I not suggest/tell how you'd get more comments and views or not? How can there not be anyone here interested in fan art if this forum is ANIME FORUM? Did you check the other threads in Fan Art forum? If not, check them and learn.

And now since you screwed your art thread, I'm assuming you decided to leave. Have a nice life and never stop drawing/practicing. That's the best way to improve your skills. ^_^

Ask who I don't know anyone and who would look at them after what I did

Not to say I agree with you whining that people didn't comment on your art, and the fact that this thread is really childish, but I did look through your threads to find your art. But you edited all of them out. So maybe if you suck it up and move on there are people who would look at it. Do what teed said. Put it in your sig and I'd've noticed and looked at it.
Post around, make friends. Find people who's art you like and ask them to help you with yours.

c'mon, guys! this fellow does indeed have a few issues, (as do i) but i do believe that some of you could stand to be bigger people and stop being so damned vindictive. some of you aren't helping him any, just pissing him off...

Is he gone? I thought he said he was gonna go? Then he came back? What the heck? Evil: Well, if he magically comes back again, I think that your artwork would be better if you had added more variety. The little chibi ball thing gets old after awhile. If you want to be respected for your art then show that you are worthy of being respected by not whining and taking what people say to use to your advantage. If you refuse to move forward, then that's your problem. You really want people to notice your artwork? make it worth noticing.
like I said, sorry. but, I won't change it.

Wow this forum is full of jerks, if I cared more I'd bad rep everyone who posted here.

You need to be patience, eventually members will reply to your thread and maybe if you're lucky a quality critique.

Des, if he really wanted to he could always talk to Intuition. Jagan Eye is pretty much in charge of the fan art section of our magazine.

As the teed said, this is after all an anime forum, in which the most popular forum of all is the miscellaneous section. So it wouldn't be logical to be here for a couple of days and hope you have a million replies to a fan art thread.

Actually the fan art forum has over 11,000 more post than the Signature forum and we have two main signature groups IntuitionGFX and HypnoticGFX. I don't see why a fan art group couldn't be formed.

I admit we have been rather harsh. However I still don't see the logic in forgive and forget. If you follow that rule with everyone who decides to act like an idiot they're gonna take it for granted.
Besides, it looks like he decided he was right and left. Personally I hoped he'd stay to try to clear things up and maybe stay active, but whatever.

@jose101: srry, i got carried away . . .
I never said that I didn't like his drawings, just to change em around a bit. as I said before, I'd still like to be his friend. . . if he were to ever come back . . . which I didn't think he would, so I decided to tell the wall my opinion. I just happen to do that a lot . . . not being mean, just saying what the evil part of my mind thinks. ^_^ No one should listen when i get that way . . . (that's why in the first part of my post, I was talking to myself to see if he was gone)

If your drawing sucks... ask for feedback.
Thats always good. You dont have to go all fussed up about it.

Practice makes good improvement.

Keep drawing and you will improve over the years.
I went from line arting to copic markers and still working on making it neatly colored like in the manga art books you find in your book stores.

A good place to start is always post your drawings or show them to someone to gain feedback.

And yes.... Feedback is about criticism and the truth hurts... but then life in world, you have to take a heck load of crap. So you have to grow out of that stage about little things.
