So far it would have to be Bioshock for cause I haven't played any shorter games that Bioshock xD so I'm sorry if I play a bit of long games.

Yeah, I usually play longer games, but I think the shortest one I've played is Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII.
Without the missions/sidequests, the main story would only be about 8-10 hours, so I'm forced to play repetitious missions 300x.

Oh that must be "LOTR - The Return of the King" for Gamecube. It was like the most expensive game on the market when I bought it. I finished it on easy within 2 hours and all diffs within the day. I also considder it the worst game EVER!

Shadow of Memories is a very short but amazing game. That might be because their are such a huge variety of different paths and endings to choose. If you choose to skip the Cutscenes you could get through the game in just over an hour with ease.

Time to game bash!!!!

Now, I'm not going to go through the entire history of games cuz I can't remember them all, but I will comment on a series of games that is most important to my gaming history, Halo!!

Now, the shortest Halo game ever had to be.... *based on my gaming standards, techniques, and timing*.... Halo 3!! It was the shortest storyline ever to me. I wouldn't count the first Halo as the shortest if anyone is thinking this because it's the intro of course, so I'll let that one slide!! But Halo 3 kinda disappointed me by how short it was for it's ending. I don't know, I kinda expected more out of it.... maybe, just a little bit more!! So, there ya have it.

I vote: Halo 3

PS: please don't feel obligated to correct me.... this is just my opinions guys!

Shadowgate (NES), takes about 30-40 minutes to complete :D

It took you 6 hours to beat COD4?

Well, ok maybe with all the constant deaths in veteran mode, but in all I remember it being like a 2-3 hour experiance, with about 2 hours of run-of-the-mill multiplayer afterwards.

Well, this may not be the most popular game around, but I would have to say Ape Escape. I finished every stage in less than 2 hr. O_o

Minesweeper. My fastest time is seven seconds. ^_^;

The shortest 'real' game I've played is probably Super Mario Brothers on the NES, which can readily be completed in ten minutes if you know what you're doing.

Shortest modern game is difficult to say. I haven't played too many of them and even fewer are sticking out in my mind. I recall beating Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War in under a day, so I'll go with that.

Sonic Adventure. That game took me 7 hours to beat (On Sonic's Side)

Fun Game ^__^

Call of Duty 4 should be long depending on what diffriculty and how good you're are. It's taking me a long time because the diffriculty is set on Veteran. You probaly set it on Regular or below.

Hmmm...Why does this thread look awfully familiar? Anyways the shortest game hands-down was Naruto: Rise of a Ninja. Shortest game ever played in my entire life, well I lied. It has to be Star Fox: Assault. That was short too, they're many short games to tell you the truth Midnight_Paradise. Lol. The longest most playable game has got to be either the original 18-bit SNES "Super Metriod" game, and Oblivion: Elders Scrolls. But a very fun game to point it out.

Got through it in about 45 minutes...... for an N64 game it's ridiculously short

Starfox 64

any fighting game. Street Fighter II, KOF, Soul Calibur, etc.
Yeah, any fighting games are extremelly short until for me.

DragonballZ: The Legacy of Goku on the GBA. I could beat it two-three times in one sitting. Didn't take more than a half hour.

A lot of the choices in this thread lead me to believe that many of you either have no memory to speak of, or have played no more then 3 games.

Anyway, Minesweeper. If you play long enough, you will achive a 0 second game.

Souji Seta
05-05-2008, 08:35 PM
Shortest game? Hmm, that'll be Metal Slug, it's good for about 30 minutes. If you're good, you might finish it in 20 minutes but it's really fun to play even if it's short.

The longest game I ever played is Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3, it took me more than 120 hours to finish it. I acquired Lucifer, Beelzebub, Thanatos, Satan, Thor, Melchizedek and even Messiah as my Personas.

Manhattan_Project_2000
05-05-2008, 08:48 PM
The longest I've ever played is Morrowind, if you add up all the replays and different characters it would come up to at least 300 hours.

Memento Mori

Pokemon: Ruby Version

After you beat the game once, trade some of the stronger Pokemon to another game, start a new game, then trade them back, it takes, like, 5 hours. Max.

Shortest game I've ever played without actually rushing is the God of War: Chains of Olympus game. I borrowed my cousin's PSP when he went into Borders for a quick read and by the time he was done, I was tidying up the last boss of the game. That's like 2 and a half hours. o.O

Hmmm...
Lot's of the games I've played lately have taken me a short amount of time.
But Megaman 2 was shortest, finished it in about an hour xD

But I would say Havenly Sword (5 hours), Army Of Two (5 Hours), CoD4 (4.5 hours on veteran) and Conflict: Denied Ops (3 hours).

It seems most games nowadays don't last for more than a day max.

Any of the Resident Evils. CVX is quite long if you dont know what to do but you can batter through it no problem. The REmake and Nemisis are the shortest.

BioShock isn't that short, not exceptionally short for being a modern shooter anyways (yes, they have gotten shorter as of late). If you rush through it, it's like 10-12 hours.

Not counting Minesweeper, this game (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Bond_007:_Nightfire) was ridiculously short. I think I played through it in an afternoon.

Theres another game, you can finish it in like 5 minutes actually.
The Way of the Samurai (I think). You just leave the town, its one of the many possible endings.

Games are mostly for enjoyment and not for hardness anymore. I'm rusty at my skills. But I still have it somewhat, it makes my friends angry when I pick up where they couldn't pass. He spent twenty minutes and lots of trys trying to kill a guy on Condemed 2, and then I killed the guy 2nd try in like 2 minutes. Maybe once things get back in order I'll get back into hardcore gaming.

I know I'm going to be disagreed with here, but for me, the shortest game that I liked is PS2 Kingdom Hearts 2.
Every other game was like...a month O_o;; but KH2 was 6 days. I bought it the 3rd day it was out for $50 -.- played it from 6am to 12am, did all the side bosses, all the game trophies etc, and beat it within a week. Ticked me off.

Now, of all my games, I beat Bloodrayne II in like..3 days.
