What was your reactions, emotions and thoughts on Vegeta's Death scene in the Frieza saga?

I practically broke out in tears when Vegeta cries and explains the story of his life and how Frieza basically made him what he was. I really felt for the guy, even though he was kind of evil.

Me too( yes the crying part ) seeing Vegeta cry was able to make me cry.
It was one of the saddest anime deaths of all time.( i know they wished him to life and that pissed me off, he died dont bring back the dead I would have liked him to die like that then of old age!)

I was sad..Buuut. We all know he's still alive, so. =p..Well I will say that I cried in it too. He's soooo awesome. But not as awesome as Gokuuu.

I was thinking, you cry baby. Here is the "Prince of all Saiyans" crying about his life. Where is his pride and arrogance now, where did that get him. He wasn't good enough to make the cut so he cries about his life. Have fun in death, lets watch the real hero kill Frieza now.

Seriously I hated Vegeta right until he went Super Saiyan.

Not as awesome and Mr. Popo.

Not as awesome and Mr. Popo.
Seriously! He is the most marginalized character in the entire series. We saw him hold off two pre-pubescent super saiyans in the Buu saga AND NOBODY SAID A WORD.

Anyway...I think Vegeta's emotional breakdown was just his way of conning Goku into killing Frieza (since, of course, Vegeta couldn't). HE WAS USING GOKU'S DECENCY FOR REVENGE!

SAD!
Even someone black at heart still has a heart, but with his upbringing i do not blame vegeta for the evil and chaos he made before, but everything came rushing to the surface when he was about to die.

We all know Popo could have beaten Nappa and Vegeta. He was just taking that day off, because he knew Goku could handle it.

That was one of the most emotional scenes in Dragon Ball Z ever. I had a small tear. It was beautiful. He's the best character, because he has so much dimension. :)

Nah, Popo's just agoraphobic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agoraphobia). Even the Kais themselves couldn't have gotten the genie to leave his home.

What I said ealier (...Vegeta is using Goku...revenge...) applies to his death at the hands of Frieza. It seems like Vegeta is just feeling sorry for himself at that point, too, making me want to demean Vegeta even more. I still didn't care much* when he blew himself up to try to kill Buu, but at least he didn't worry about himself so much then.

*I have never felt any empathy for any fictional character. Ever.

I broke out in tears because I could relate to him. Man, a direct shot from Frieza, no wonder why he was crying! Though evil, Vegeta was not a cold hearted stone, because hearts of stone can't shed tears like he did.

He did not cry because Freeza warped his childhood or abused him or "he made me what he was!"

Although Freeza heavily influenced him, in watching the original, he is clearly crying and lamenting over his shattered pride and his utter lack of ability to stand up to Freeza.

Though evil, Vegeta was not a cold hearted stone, because hearts of stone can't shed tears like he did.

At that point in the series, yes, he was. Like I said, he was crying from Freeza systematically tearing him down and showing him, bit by bit, how inferior he was to him. It left his Saiyan pride in tatters and himself humiliated.

This stuff about showing him in a typically cliche redeeming or sympathetic light is something the English dubbers came with all their own.

It still pains me everytime I watch that one scene, but now I have a better understanding of it.
