First romance series

I've never watched any 'romance' animes, but I love stories with romance in general so I'm considering it(I've run out of other anime to watch). Anyway I'm pretty much just asking for recomendations. Any good romance series out there where the characters are older than highschool age? I'm 20... I feel like a loser watching stuff where the main characters are all 5 years younger than me(and getting more action than me).

Pretty much all of those animes have at least 1 of the protaganists past high school age

Check out Kimi ga Nozomu Eien (aka Rumbling Hearts). All the characters are past college. It's a much more adult minded story. If it doesn't make you cry, I don't know what will.

My First Romance Series was The Tenchi Muyo OAV Which I got back in 2004. Then I heavily started into collecting about 2006. and have been collecting ever since.

Though I've been a fan for about 16 years over all.

and then Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien (I think this great for 18+)

Chobits was my first romance series also. It has been quite a while since any new merchandise had come out(besides the Your Eyes Only Artbook and the complete think-pack collection that was released in 2005). I want to star in a Chobits live-action movie as the male lead! I know, I know, I know, it'll never happen, but a guy can dream right??

Secondly to Ball Tripper, I very highly recommend Nana. It's an excellent romance based anime featuring characters primarily in their early 20's. The plot is slow moving but very well developed. So that's my top pick for a romance anime featuring characters above High School age.

If Sailor Moon counts as Romance, then yes that was my very first one. Then I think it was Love Hina next. I don't know, I am picky on romance animes, only because its the same old boy/girl love story, thats why I go for Shounen-ai for romance, it's just something different. I dont know...just my opinion >.>;;;;
