yup, working in KL - seems only manga and anime can take my minds off things! :D gotta admit, the selection for yaoi here runs more manga and i haven't seen a dojiinshi here - me being so clueless, i probably wouldn't recognise a dojinshi title even if it hits me! :wacko:

i get my yaoi manga fix from Borders bookstore (limited selection) and Kinokuniya (more variety!) They promote the usual publications from June Manga/DMP, Blu and a few others (can't remember their names now).

Jazz is a 4 vol manga from June Manga/DMP whereas Junjo Romantica (still an ongoing series, there's already 4 books out) is a BLU publication. Both are equally good and i love the artwork and storyline!

Yeah I'll pop the list once I get down to deciding on the top 10... On much yaoi, yes there's heaps. Especially fanfiction >_<... But I'm running out of sources fast and I'm picky, good yaoi/ BL is very hard to find.....

I like yaoi too,I saw this week some,I found them easily but all of them were OVAs and they were short.I saw:Okane ga nai(Ayase is the most cutest guy,it looks like a girl),Kizuna(it was great,especialy the third OVA),Haru wo daiteita(I like the graphics),Mirage of Blaze OVA(the anime is pretty well but I don't like the OVA) and the last one is Level C(nice graphics and story but too short).

In terms of more hard content, I love Okane ga Nai, Level C, Haru wo Daiteita, and Winter Cicada (Fuyu no Semi).

If your talking shounen-ai and light yaoi, then my absolute all-time fav is Gravitation.

Well, I could argue about the Naruto x Sasuke thing. Just as well as I can argue about L x Light. However, I don't know why you're so angry. Let us fan girls have our fantasies. This is what half of yaoi is about. Ever heard of doujinshi? Yeah, some yaoi manga-ka make those. Thus it doesn't give "yaoi" a bad name. Yaoi is a relationship between two men yes. Not two men from a yaoi specific anime. Perhaps you're just not that much of a yaoi fan. That's fine. I don't mind that. However, don't come in a rain on our parade.

i'm a big fan. for me, it started with the slash pairing of heero and duo from gundam wing. true, not a canon pairing in the series but whenever i watched it years and years ago i would always think how annoying relena was and how cute heeroxduo were. and so my slow and steady pace into the world of slash and yaoi came about.

Chrono, i don't get any yaoi anime where i'm based at :-) you could try reading a yaoi manga ... there are several yaoi mangas that are a standalone book. try reading "Alcohol, Shirt and Kiss" (it's an Eglish translation) by Yuko Kuwabara. that's the yaoi book i read and got me interested in exploring this genre.

Pengin-san, what can i say? Muraki is a bad boy, he's so lovable!!! *grins* maybe the pairing is a bit odd but hey, this where the realm of fantasy comes in *shrugs* as long as i know how the story really turned out in the end (a tearjerker, really), i think i'm still sane...

Go for Gravitation. That's a lot of peoples' first :3. It's funny, it's fluffy, it's lovely. Or go for Loveless or Sukisyo.

Junjo Romantica is a basically divided into 3 different plots and timelines; Junjo Romantica (which is also the title of the manga), Junjo Egoist and Junjo Terrorist, but the characters "overlap" each other at some point within each mini-series. The Romantica plot concerns the relationship between Takahashi Misaki with his older brother's best friend, Usami Akihiko. The bedroom scenes are explicit but tastefully done. I like this series because it's funny and romantic at the same time :-)

The English translation is published by Blu Manga and the author is Shungiku Nakamura.
