I chose Neji for the fact of, even though he is a genius- he didn't get there just by luck. He had to work hard to master his secret abilities that he should have not known how to do since it is a main branch technique. He was working so hard he even feinted in front of Tenten.

There is no contest. It's most certainly Lee. He's never given up on his sensei, even though he has no ninjutsu or genjutsu skills. He's always training and training HARD to achieve his goal.

Naruto doesn't even come close to being the one who works the hardest. o_o

Rock Lee hands down. He, by far, beats Naruto in the aspect of hard work. He worked hard to be accepted as a genin and became more powerful than those who have chakra. If he couldn't do something right, he'd do twice as much work just so he could. Out of every single one of them, Rock Lee is the MOST hard working, even more so than Naruto, even with his "Never give up" speech.

Rock Lee. Considering he can't use ninjutsu or genjutsu, and basically shouldn't be a shinobi in the first place. Yet, he has straight absurdly in taijutsu, enough so that he's able to fight well enough to be on par with characters such as Neji, or dare I say it, Gaara. He was the only one able to capable of fighting against Gaara with a chance of winning, and the only reason Sasuke did so well against Gaara was because he was mimicing Lee's taijutsu.

They all have hard-working moments, but Rock Lee is the only ninja that thrives on it. That's the only way he can be a ninja, really. If he stops working hard then his career as a ninja is over. Naruto, on the other hand, can take a break or two now and again. Lee just can't afford that.

I admit that Naruto is determined, but determination and hard work aren't the same thing.

Their really is no question that it is Lee. No matter how hard any of the others train they will never train and work as hard as lee. He never gives up. Even he he got discouraged when he was told that he couldn't be a shinobi. He didn't give up and came back to fight again. I still belive that no one can beat him out of all the genin. Sasuke included.

Hard working genin would have to be Neji & Rock Lee! They both work hard with their taijutsu and they have a tough time with shinobi that have medium/long range attacks. It's great to have TenTen use her long range attacks to help these 2 guys practice.

I did not vote because I would say, Naruto, Neji [last on my list] , Lee and Sasuke worked their best to get [insert dream here]. Those are for males.

For females...
Hinata worked hard on standing up for herself... well... sort of.
Sakura... eh... she made her decision to finally become stronger.
Tenten would always be shooting/summoning her weapons non-stop. Which is cool. =D My favorite character. But she didnt really change.
Temari is good with her pet... but she didnt really change either.

The only person that may work as hard as Lee is Naruto. It is true that Lee works hard and is a great shinobi, however Naruto never had it easy. He was born a out cast. He had to fight for his pride. No one has gone through that much pain but him and Garra. And it is funny because it seems that the children that have no mother or father that loves them seems to end up with a demon inside of them. Because of this the are feared. But without his demon, Naruto wouldn't stand a chance against anyone. Not even Ten-Ten.

I don't know Naruto, and Lee aren't what we called gifted. so they both have to work hard to get any where. the odd thing is they are seen training and going on missions together a lot. I think that implies they both work well together because of this commonality.

Naruto is the most hardworking. Lee does give all his effort, but Naruto does as well. However there is a big difference between only fighting one's own lack of skill (Lee) and fighting one's supposed lot in life (AKA the hatred Naruto faces). Not many people would handle their fate the way Naruto has. Not many people would be that resilient.

ok i agree that naruto never had it easy especially since his chakra control was screwed up because of having and odd prong seal over an even prong seal but when jiraya got rid of that and started to teach naruto how to get the chakra of the nine tailed fox almost everything got a bit easier for him while lee never had any mastery of any ninjutsu or genjutsu not to mention that even his taijutsu was suckish. so lee had to refine all of that and his speed even picked up with all those weights that gai made him wear. not to mention that yeah he did have his training system of doing 1000 juming jacks or doing this and that and other things of that sort. but other then lee i'd have to say tenten works hard too since her only weapons really are kives and really sharp pointy objects and she never misses so that had to be refined. but yeah lee does work the hardest
oh and neji did work hard but even then he was always considered a genius so that's what made lee train harder so again lee does work the hardest. and sakura only worked hard to get sasuke's attention and even then she admits herself that she's still weak but in her own way she's strong but she does have one-sided love so that makes her even more weak. and even then she was ostricized as a kid for her forehead so that might have had something to do with it. her and ino had each other to keep them going so yeah. but i still maintain that lee wroks harder. hell he even works to protect/impress sakura.
and acutally if you think about it gaara worked hard too. it can't be easy to control all that sand that pretty much has a mind of it's own

It would be Rock Lee...like his idol tacher Gai...they will make a promise that if they lose they make some conditions...I remember the series when Maito Gai challenge Kakashi but he lose...and lee saw him..It was very inspiring.. and Lee had no talent in ninjutsu so he practiced taijutsu...Lee was not genius unlike Sasuke that had a Sharingan that copy his opponent power...

hm... this was hard. I hesitate between Naruto and Lee, but I have to say Naruto. Even if Lee have gone threw alot to show everyone that he can be a ninja I think that Naruto have been.. well. working harder then him. Its hard to explain but he made everyone except him and he is improving all the time to reach his goal in becoming hokage.

You know thats because he left the village with Jirayia (wasnt there to show how good he was/ missed exams) há? There is no doubt Rock Lee w/Gai Sensei are hard working; Naruto, Neji and Hinata also hard working. But to me, Sakura is "quietly" hard working (mental & physical). I mean she has to study medical techniques which nobody knows except Tsunade or Kabuto. Plus she has Tsunade's training of super strength. She is a valuable comrade to a team and Konoha.
