So, here's Kyuubi Naruto, once again taking a shot an RPG. My last RPG, Dawn of the Dragon, which was going great, only failed due to my lack of activity, which was caused by computer problems. But since its Christmas Break, I've got free time on my hands.

What to do with this free time, you ask? Make an RPG, of course.:D


Air Gear: Sky Legend

RPG Story:

In ancient times, when Greek City states battle one another for supremacy, their armies built massive altars by piling up their defeated enemies weapons and corspes. The strong were decided by who's altar reached the highest. These altars were called towers of victory, or, Tropeaum. The 8 different levels of the Tropeaum were called roads, which where led by the 8 Kings, whom of which were the strongest subjects following the path the different roads. The 8 Kings come as followed:

Storm King- Master of the Hurricane Road
Wind King- Master of the Wing Road
Flame King- Master of the Flame Road
Thunder King- Master of the Rising Road
Fang King- Master of the Bloody Road
Gem King- Master of the Jade Road
Rumble King- Master of the Over Road
Water King- Master of the Lather Road

It is these 8 different kings who are destined to brave the heights of the Tropeaum, face countless struggles, and ride the waves of victory. When all the 8 kings unite as one, the legendary Sky King, he whom is said to be the most powerful of all warriors, will appear, and ascend to the heavens.

That is the legend of the 8 Kings, and the roads, of ancient Greece. Suprisingly enough, time has changed heavily since then. Although the legend of the 8 Kings still lives on today, it has been altered completely. Nowadays, people use Air Treks(A.K.A ATs), rollerblades that have been modified with a special gear that gives them the ability to reach speeds unimaginable by regular rollerblades. They have multiple uses, professional sports, excersize and getting in shape, uses of transportation, or to just simply have fun. Another one of the popular uses for ATs, although, is battle.

Storm Riders, or people who use ATs for battle, get together and form gangs. These gangs battle others in competitions called Parts Wars, fighting for supremacy just as the warriros of ancient Greece. Thus, the legend of the 8 Kings is reborn. Of the hundreds upon thousands of Storm Rider Teams out there, only a handful of them are able to reach the title as a king of one of the 8 roads. The different kings weild their Regalia, or ATs that possess special abilities and godly powers, along with their tuners, the subjects of the kings whos job is to tend to the Kings' Regalia, to battle for supremacy over all others, in hopes of one day that the legendary Sky King will come forth, and rule over the world of Air Trek.

In a certain town in Japan called Namihara, Air Treks are especially popular. From the youngest of kids to the oldest of non-crippled adults, ATs are used by everyone. Especially in Shinanome High School, where Storm Rider gangs are plentiful. Almost daily, Parts Wars are held, and Namihara is home to some of the most skilled Storm Riders in Japan.

With the word that in 3 months from now, the 1st Annual World Air Trek Tournament will be held in Namihara, the gangs have caused a sudden uproar in excitement. One hitch: All participating Storm Rider Gangs are required to be at least D-Rank. This news being found out, all of the Storm Rider gangs in Namihara, which is now known as "The Warzone," have readied theirselves for the upcoming challenges.

There's a lot of essentials that need to be understood by all members, so here it is:

Storm Riders and their Teams:

All members of the RPG will be Storm Riders, those who use ATs for battle. Whether you want to be on a Storm Rider team or not is your choice, but you are required to be on a team to compete in the World Air Trek Tournament.

For those who DO want to be on Storm Rider team, then you can talk with other members of the RPG and create your own team for Parts Wars. Each team must consist of at least 3, and at most 7, members. In Parts Wars, not all members of the team are required to battle, but at least 3 of them must compete, and no more than 5 of them are allowed in each war.

Their are multiple different types of Parts Wars, listed below:

Ballon Chase: A ballon is let loose in an alley or somewhat enclosed area. The job of both teams is to catch the ballon before the other team does. They are allowed to do anything to stop them, including attacking them with all of their power. This race requires the ability to wall ride.

Point race: Sort of like a relay race on ATs. The members of the race are all placed at certain points on a course, and tag each other when they reach those points, signaling for their fellow member to continue the race.

Battle Race: Set in tons of different enviorments, this is the most popular of all Parts Wars. In this, the teams are given a certain point they must reach. All of the team members then work together to race and battle the opposing team to reach the point first.

Wall Ride: This is set at a large tower or wall. Only 1 member of each team competes in these Parts Wars. The 2 combatants race up the wall, battling each other while on their way. The first to reach the top of the wall/tower wins for the team.

Pure Battle: These Parts Wars are simply set in large arenas. The point of the Parts War is to battle the other team and defeat all of their members. Once when one team is rendered unable to fight, the battle is over.

Course Battle: This battle can be set in various different areas. Its usually set in the hideout or main course of one of the competing teams. This battle is technically a free battle that happens anywhere in the given area, but still has the same base rules as a Pure Battle.

More battle types will be added later on.

Emblems:

All Storm Rider teams have a sticker with the name of the team and a symbol representing the team on it, called emblems. Other than for show, emblems are also used for claiming territory. When the emblem for a team is found on a place, the area is claimed by the team whos emblem resides there. To challenge another team to a Parts War, another team is required to put their emblem on the other teams emblem, thus, issuing a challenge.

*The following only applise to team leaders* If you want to find a pic for the emblem your team, you can get a picture off the internet or give a description. Its not required to have the name of your team on it, as that would be far too difficult.

All set-ups and specifics for winning these Parts Wars will be explained when they occur in the RPG.

Joining Teams:

To join a Storm Rider team, all you have to do is talk to the leader of the team and ask them to join. Whether they allow you in or not is out of my hands. Note: All talk of joining teams before the RPG starts is done in the Sign-up topic. After the RPG begins, you can also choose to talk it out in the actual RPG.

Note: You are not required to be in a team.

Kings and Roads:

After a certain part in the RPG, and after I've watched the racing habits and skills of certain riders, I will send PMs to those whom I believe have enough skill to take on the role of King of one of the roads.

Asking/begging to be a king of the a road will just assure that you will never get that rank. The dfferent powers of the all of the kings will be told to only those whom I see have enough skill to be king.

When given the title of king, through events in the story, your character will earn a "Regalia." Regalia are ATs that possess extremely powerful, mysterious abilities above those of any other regular AT.

Note: Nobody will be taking the role of Sky King.

Tuners:

Tuners are those people who take care of the Regalia of the Kings. A Tuner can be hired by a king, or anybody can just ask to be the tuner of any King. Tuners, although, are in danger of being attacked by those who seek the power of the Regalia. Also, even though each Regalia is already given a special ability, each Tuner is allowed to add one special ability to the Regalia for the King, as long as it corresponds with the powers of the road/Regalia.

Story: Soji Kanihoto was 12 years old when he moved to the town of Namihara. It was the same day that he moved to that town that first saw a person riding Air Treks. That day, unknown to him, would change his life forever. He instantly fell in love with the world of ATs, and over the next 5 years, he worked hard to become more and more skilled in ATs.

When he was 16, he decided that instead of following a road made by somebody else, he was going to travel his own road and drove the idea of creating his own team into his brain. A year from that day, completely on his own, Soji created the team called Blade Dance, and his battle began.

Personality: Soji has two sides to him that contrast in multiple ways. His most outright side is wild. He's somewhat of a daredevil whom enjoy taking on new challenges and loves to be around people whom he trusts. His wild side shows in his battle skills, seeing as he can sometimes be reckless, but always quick on his feet. The most important part of his wild side is his artistic ability. Be it finding loopholes in rules, or shorcuts in races, he thinks in hundreds of different ways.

The other side of Soji is the sweet side. Not afraid to show this side to those whom he trusts, Soji can completely change his attitude. When he rather sees somebody in distress or distrust to him, he tries his best to comfort that person. Knowing that his life has been fairly good, he tries to spread the joy he was blessed with to others. When he deeply cares for someone, it once again shows in his battle techniques. It is when fighting for somebody he cares for when he's at his best.

Story: Aung grew up on the Japanese coastline. Her parents were killed in a boating accident when she was 5 1/2, so she was raised by her grandfather and two older brothers. Her grandfather owns a rental business with waterskies, surfboards, and other water mechanics. Aung grew up around confident egotistical guys so she tends to stay away from guys all together. She has learned not to trust them.

Because of her brothers and grandfathers business she came in contact with ATs when she was 9 and was instantly hooked. She actually modified her ATs to be able to ride on water. (Not to be confused with the Lather Regalia.) Her grandfather decided that Aung didn’t have enough “girl” friends for her age and decided to stop homeschooling. He sent her to her mom’s old school, Namihara high school. Now as 16 ½ year old she lives in a prepaid aparment near the school. She receives high scores in school so her grandfather won’t bug her, but spends most of her time modifying her ATs and practicing new tricks.

Recently she ran out of money to pay for her new ATs so she has decided to try out parts wars to improve her ATs. She still is deciding whether to join a team or stay solo. She has also applied for a job at the local AT shop.

EDIT:
Personality: Aung is harsh on new people, for the longest time she has built a wall to protect herself from getting hurt. To her it seems as if everytime she opens the gates to become friends with someone or even a more serious relationship they just used her. Whether it be about ATs or school each time they hurt her, her wall grew stronger and more inpenatrable.

The only time Aung seems at rest and free is when she is using her ATs. ATs are her way out of her small world, into a huge seemingly never-ending world. When Aung rides she is a different person. She moves as if shes in water herself and creates pattern tricks that confuse her oppenant. Though Aung has not competed in any parts wars she is a fierce competitor and strives to be the best.

Bio: Echine was born somewhere in Thailand on the British Military Base and has been kicked around the world with his parents as his father was transfer from base. However they settled into Namihara from when Echine was 12 to when he was 14. At the age of 14 his father was again transfered but it was agreed that Echine would remain in Japan for the rest of his High School years. Now at sixteen he is entering his senior year.

Echine has been participating in the sport of ATs for far longer than he had been riding them. He acted as a strategist for team of older friends but didn't participate himself, perfering to use his potent analytical skills rather than his less than stellar motor skills. His friends however taught him some of their skills before they all graduated from high school and moved on to their own colleges.

He ended up drifting around a bit for most of his junior year, going through and early-life crisis as he tried to find something to hold his interest. He ended up going days without food and sleeping in the school building due to a disinterest in returning home. He started suffer attacks of weakness and one of these required him being hospitalized for several days. His parents, from somewhere on a base in what was left of Ethopia after the Somalian Invasion, sent him to a psychiatrist who advised him to renew his interest in ATs and the sport. However, Echine no longer had a team... so that meant he had to make one.

Personality: Somewhat cocksure and clever when it comes to the pursuits of the mind, he takes much bemusement from deftly pointing out the flaws in the logic of others. He is technically of a frail constitution but his mind seems to pick up the slack, bursting with boundless energy and vitality.

He perfers conversations with less than three other people, where he can easily keep up with and react to what everyone is saying, tending to find more people than that awkward and speaking a negligible amount. Incredibly nervous when he is out of his element, he finds many social situations difficult and dislikes being the one to start a conversation, however he can deftly respond to many topics of conversation.

Very responsible, he will quickly take responsibility for situations for which he had no part. In fact, Echine is at his most serious and easily frustrated when he feels that someone is depending on whatever it is he's doing, making him prone to snapping at those who distract him.

Personality: Shiva is a royal pain in the rear. She is liked by few and envied by most, and she knows this. Overconfident, arrogant, stuck up, these are a few words that easily describe her. Shiva cares about being on top first, and puts everything else second. Her competitive attitude and her intimidating nature are her strengths, they can also be her biggest weaknesses. Even though Shiva is unlikeable to nearly everyone around her, she has earned deep respect and admiration from her teammates, and she treats them each with respect in return.

Story: Shiva came from a wealthy family. Her father passed away less than a year ago, leaving his wife and only daughter Shiva a substantial inheritance. More then set for life Shiva does what she wants and not what she needs to do. And what Shiva loves best is the feeling of victory. Tackling numerous competitions growing up, involving cheerleading, gymnastics, basketball, pageants, martial arts.. and more, Shiva has moved onto the biggest fad yet.. becoming a storm rider. Determined to dominate the sport, Shiva quickly formed a team, and the rest is history. Intent on furthering her flawless reputation, Shiva will stop at nothing to make Team Fatality the best team in Namihara.

AT's: Green and white. A motor that is tricked out so that it gains more speed and spinning control. Its jumping abilities are high and it's turn speed and straight away break away speed is also great.

wow...you're ruthlessly optimistic. You're asking their to be at least 20 people upwards to 30... from experience I've never seen that many people join an RP for any length of time. So you might want to move your caps down.

Personality: She hopes to do everything in her power to help Haji. That is because she loves him. She is calm and smart. Very beautiful and uses that to get what she wants. She does however have a dark and mean side when it comes to other girls and Haji.

Appearance: Long brown hair, Pink eyes, Nice bright skin that looks like it flows across the sky jr as she hopes to do with Haji. Her AT's are green and white just like Haji's. Her skirt and shirt are also green and white. She has the nickname Kyoko the Queen of the Storm. Due to the fact that she moves her body through the skies like an angel and that she was the only Storm Rider to ride during a live Storm. During that time she made her own move known as the Hurricane Twist.

Story: Kyoko was born close to same time Haji was. She meet Haji around the time that he start riding. She had already been riding for a while. She help train him and soon joined him when he made his team. She will never leave his side for they fell in love. The are sometimes called: The twin angels that spread their wings and dance upon heavens golden gates. That is because Tgdw fight together and look good doing it.

wow...you're ruthlessly optimistic. You're asking their to be at least 20 people upwards to 30... from experience I've never seen that many people join an RP for any length of time. So you might want to move your caps down.Your probably right there. Around the time I joined, there used to be dozens of people joining RPGs, although I think times have surely changed.

Story: Sayuri grew up in Namihara she hasn't known any other place. Her mother and father used to live in Tokyo but her mother died in childbirth and Sayuri's father moved her to Namihara because of the painful memories he had. Sayuri grew up around ATs and has known them her whole life.

Her father hadn't agreed to let her ride them until she turned 10. Sayuri seemed to live in her ATs from that day forward. She eventually grew a little less enthusiastic but loved the sport with all her heart. Sayuri is often known to say she'll be in ATs until the day she dies.

BIO: Kaname grew up in Osaka where she lived with two normal parents that loved her very dearly. She had lost her twin sister, Akane, in a car accident that happened when she was 13. Having an almost photographic memory, Kaname often thinks of her sister. She avoided looking into mirrors from then on, thinking of her sister whenever she did which caused her to be depressed. The year after her sister's death, Kaname's mother and father thought it was best for her to live with her 29-year-old aunt in Namihara. Once she was there, Kaname discovered the ATs. She was immeadiatly hooked when her aunt, Aoi, bought her a pair, and practiced using them anytime she could. Now she works at an ice cream shop called, Suzu Frosts.

Personality: She's quite laid back but has passion burning in her eyes that could be released in any activity she is passionate about. It shows especially when she uses her ATs (which are black and white with a little bit of pink). She doesn't talk about her sister at all unless she is very close to that person and gets quite sensitive when her sister is spoken of but when she is in a normal mood she is an easy-going person with a personality that almost everyone can get along with. She also LOVES to eat, though she never seems to gain anything with her excessive food consumption.

Personality: Sai has a completely submissive personality. He doesn't speak much, only when necessary. Despite having admirable talent, he is very humble about his abilities. Never bragging or drawing too much attention to himself, he doesn't stand out in a crowd. Sai just goes with the flow and just does what he's told. Mainly it's Shiva giving out the commands.
Story: Sai grew up in a one parent household after his father walked out on his family when he was age 9. He has one older brother, and one younger sister. Sai hates being at home, and is constantly looking for ways to preoccupy himself outside of the house. Besides constantly going to the gym and getting into kickboxing, Sai recently took up ATs as 'just something to do'. Surprisingly, even to himself, he had talent in the sport. This caught the eye of Shiva, who basically demanded him to be on her team. And Sai didn't really put up a fight against it.. not like he had much of a choice. He's a perfect contrast to Shiva's intimidating personality, and is a valuable member of Team Fatality.

Story: Before his parents died he promised them that he would take care of his siblings and that he would try with all his might to achieve his own dreams. He had never been a very ambitious person, but after that he was filled with it. He graduated high school at 16 and now is finishing up his college masters degree in pchycolgy. Daichi was unhappy with the situation that their grandfather put his sister in so he moved to Namihara. He started Air Trecks after he had mastered school. He found it to be both difficult and fulfilling. When moving to Namihara he temporarily changed his name to Katsu Murata. When he finishes his degree Daichi will be taking a job at a nearby firm. He joins a storm rider team to let loose and to help keep an eye on his sistor.

Personality: Cocky and Calculated. Daichi has perfected his cool look over the ladies and adults. He doesn’t do things unless in the end it benefits him. He shows the only compassion he has to his slightly younger brother. He cares for his grandfather in a very “admiral” way, but has a more complicated compassion towards his young sister. He is very intelligent and can get out of “troublesome” situations very easily. To deal with stress and problems he uses ATs. He can think and truly relax when he is on his ATs.

Story: Having moved to Namihara from Kyoto at the age of 7, Aya was thrust into a new world at a young age. Her mother had died when she was 10 in a dreadful storm that had overcome all of Namihara, leaving her and her father alone. Her father was a drunk, who rarely took the time to care for his own child, thus, hope was lost for her.

Although, when she was 12 years old, Taki Kanihoto, a family friend, took in Aya as one of his own, worried about her welfare. Taki's son, Soji Kanihoto, grew to care for Aya more than anybody else did, thinking of her as the younger sister he never had.

Being around Soji, who loved ATs, she also grew into them. She now plans on joining a team, mainly because she's excited for the upcoming Air Trek tournament.

Personality: Aya is a very upright and upstanding girl. She is not afraid to show her own mind, and is almost never nervous around new people. Her soft side shows when she's around her "older brother," Soji Kanihoto. Easily trusting new people, she may sometimes seem a little slow in the head, but is quick on her feet, nonetheless, when it comes to ATs.

Also, I had just begun watching Air Gear (meaning I've watched 12 episodes in one day. Agito/Akito= XD) and I'm quite amazed. I'd heard of it before but I was never really interested in it until Kyuubi Naruto made this RPG. Thanks! ^_^

Alright everyone, since it seems that pretty much all of the teams are up and ready, I think I may start working on the opening post right now. It'll probably be up within the next couple of hours.

Also, for those who want to put in their classes and such, I'll divide them like the following:

Freshman= Classes D1-4.
Sophomore= Classes C1-4
Junior= Classes B1-4
Senior= Classes A1-4

You, of course, get to choose which classes you want. I'll edit my characters with their classes in a minute, so check their profiles later on if you want.

After the RPG starts, I will ask one last thing of all the school members. Then, we can stop all these add-ons and just enjoy the RP. :o

Sorry for the double post, but this is something required to get through to all members. Now that the RPG has started, and their are 4 teams, we need to make sure one thing is clear: territory.

4 teams, 4 territories. I'm going to list 4 territories in Namihara, and whoever wants which territories can immediately take it and thus, their team owns it.

Territories are so important because its where the emblems of teams can be found, thus, where you can challenge them to a Parts War. Whenver a team challenges and defeats a team, that territory is automatically theirs. Any team can have as many territories as they can win, but once when they lose a battle, the lose the territory the were fighting for. Makes sense, right? Now....

Territories:

Fountain: One of the most popular places in town. The central point of town, in this area resides an AT shop and a restaurant. Technically, if you own this, the restaurant and the AT shop come free to you. The fountain is where most of the Storm Riders in town hang out, and is also where most AT meetings are held in the town.

Shinanome High School: This is, without a doubt, the largest of all territories. When you own the school, you are able to do absolutely anything with it. Regular students may try and stop you, but you were already tough enough to take it over, so its not a problem for you, is it?

Boardwalk: Another very popular spot, this boardwalk is the most busy territory. The occasional crime occurs here, along with the usual gang trying to overtake it. On the boardwalk is an AT park, thus, if you own this, you technically own one of the main Air Trekking spots in town.

Front Street: This is where the most business goes down. This is techinally one huge line of shops, ranging from anything that you want it to be. The most visible spot in town, the large clock, is also here. By placing your emblem all they way up there, you've let all others know that this town is yours.

Note: To challenge for the Front Street, the team member is required to perform a Wall Ride.
