RPG: Nightmaria

OOC: Rules are quite similar to that of AF in general. Follow those rules and don't God Mod, and you should be good. I want each post to be at least 5 sentances long. I needn't any 1 liners or what have you.

The voices of the far off ghouls and other creatures singing their tunes to the grace of good ol' Hallow and her Eve.

The towers bounding onwards high in the center of the city, the city and world where nightmares play and wreak their mischievous and frightful ways. The black buildings were lined with orange, glowing pumpkin carts lining the streets of the black cobblestone. They were preparing their world for the greatest time of the year, the festival where they could go to the human world.

All Hallows Eve!

In the distance stretching across ones view, the graveyards and the various twisted and dark themed buildings tickled the image, the various creatures roaming about the streets bustling as EVERYBODY was making ready for the time in which they'd get to play and enjoy the human world, as well as a giant party back in Nightmaria. The noise from the city was so loud that it could be heard for quite a distance into the far off dunes of black dust and gray sands, all the way to the Land of Forgotten Dreams.

But nobody could even begin to suspect, in the background another player was having at his game plan, and so he was sitting, waiting, watching. it was only ten days until Halloween after this night and so he would have his revenge, his sick and demented mind coming to a sate.

But that was only his plan. There was another, with a plan of his own.

In the dark parkways and deep autumn groves of Autumnville, a quaint little town in the middle of the US, there was a figure cloaked in black and as swift as the wind itself. It made it to the top of a tree, the orange and yellow leaves still flourishing upon it's branches with tender delight. A boney hand as slim as darkness could call, picked a leaf from the branch. The body it was attached to only slightly visible.. A single red and orange glow was what only gave of it's position.

He as well sat, waiting for the time when he knew his greatest nemesis was to strike.

Day 0/10. Wednesday
The night was so.. creepy.

"Why does it feel this way? I feel as though I'm missing something here.." Seth brought his hand through his orange hair, his auburn eyes searching about his dark room as he started to breath deeper. He awoke again. " I'm awake.. But I don't remember having a nightmare.. Why am I not sweating?"

His eyes came about to the window and opened wide. He saw the faint orange glow of the figure's larger red eye, and he stared at it for a good five or ten minutes until it was gone. " What was that? A flashlight? "

He had to shake it off. there was school coming the next day and he was to be tested in his math class. " Just.. forget it.. " He told himself as he fell asleep.

Day 1/10 Thursday
So, what action will you all take? It's your choices now. In ten days you'll be free.. free to see both worlds. But will the Restless Shadow defy the old laws and overcome the balance? Or will you stop him with the rest of the people? Or will you join his ranks and destroy what brought a fair balance to the worlds? Well, you choose your destiny.

[Aura of the Twilight]

It was only a few more days until All Hallow's Eve, and Lolita was just wandering about Nightmaria, like as if it were months away and not coming for a while. While most other NMs were getting ready and scampering on around her, trying to prepare for the one night they could merge with the humans as if it were already completely upon them.

"Hello," she said to those who greeted her as they walked by eachother. Lolita had always been a little too passive about things, but that was part of her personality after all. That's one of the reasons why she wasn't in too hurried of a mood right now.

She walked through some back roads and around corners, not really sure where she was going or who she was to see. She mainly only talked a lot with the Knights of the Night.

"Am I stuck up? No, ....maybe..." she thought to herself as this thought crossed her mind. She wasn't stuck up but more of she didn't talk much until you got to know her. "Whatever, it's not like it matters what others think of me, but I doubt they think that I mean, I AM Lolita the Dark Doll." Lolita thought as she walked into the town square.

"Now, to find someone to talk to," Lolita said aloud to herself.

[Nespa]

Flea was very excited her whiskers twitched in anticpation and she was writing her grocery list for that year. she nibbled on her pencil which looked like a human finger "hmmm i did pumpking cookies last year so should i do chocolate this time?" she asked the air the only reaction she got was a large black spider moving down on a thread off his web infront of her face. she smiled at him "hello there beautifull" when she cupped her hands the spider landed in it and she smiled at. But her smile turned into a frown when the spider shook for a moment en then rolled on his back, legs withdrawn. she quickly shoved her chair backwards and dropped the dead spider "a bad omen?" she whispered als she looked at the dead spider. she looked out the window to the other nightmarians who were having a good time and shook her head "no the guards wil keep everything wel en good". Picking up the spider she placed it in a small back and walked to her dead backyard where she burried it. back inside she too a firm seat in her chair and started on the list again, it had to be a coincodence it just had to be.

Rath walked gracefully down the streets of NightMaria, his long red trench coat blowing in the mid winds, he was holding his hat so it wouldn't fly off, of course the hat was covering his eyes. Rath was waiting for the night of Halloween, just a few more days until he was able to heal the wounded in the human realm. Also, remembering back on the horrible day when Lucifer went to the human world, and caused much damage. That day...when his love was taken from him. Rath walked coldly and then saw a small boy crying. Rath walked swiftly and scilently over and asked the boy in a soothing voice "Are you hurt young child?" It was but a mere werechild.

"My..my paw.." He said sniffing, the boy showed Rath the wounded.

Rath examined the small wounded and noticed a small piece of silver lodged inside the cut. "Well...it seems you got a piece of silver stuck inside, no worries, I will have that out in an instance." In a second Rath's fingures had blades at the ends of them, he dug out the silver and then quickly stitched the wounded up. "There you go young child." Rath didn't stay, he continued walking after he was done, he wasn't the one to stay and get gratitude.

"T-thank you.." The werechild went running off to play.

Rath of course was NightMarias doctors, also one of the former Knights of the Night.

Hijikata awoke to the smell of food. His wife was cooking. He rose from bed and went into the bathroom. He emptied his tank and washed his hands,like he always did. "Hijikata dear please come down for breakfast?" Hijikata yelled back down the stairs, telling her that he would be down soon. He dressed himself in a black suit with black dress shoes and a black tie. His white shirt was well ironed and crisp. He looked at himself in the mirror and unlike his wife he say his true self. The vampire that kills to kill. He smiled and slowly stepped down the stairs of his two story home. His wife meet him half way down and they locked lips. The continued for over ten minutes. His watch flashed as he kissed her again and disappeared out of the door. Hallowween was right around the corner. Soon those that were hunting them would have a whole day to do so. He would be ready for them on matter what. He was after all he was Hijikata the Deserter, and known as Nightmaria's demon scythe. He wasn't going to lord so easily. Now all he had to do was get to work on time.

Addie trotted down the stairs to find the house void of all life but her and Bicko, her blue beta fish. "Yeah, good morning to you too," she said and bent down, kissing the small bowl her fish was confined in. As if trying to kiss her back, Bicko swam into the glass. She walked to the kitchen, made herself a bagel, smeared it with thick helpings of creme cheese, and pulled her cap over her pink and black hair. "Bye bye Bicko," she called to the fish and walked out the door in her pink and white skater shoes. As if on cue, two boys on skateboards rolled up to her driveway with backpacks on their back.

"I thought you had a math test today," said the one with curly, dirty blonde hair, Matt.

Addie took her pink and blue skateboard from the porch and flung it, landing on the top with perfect balance. "I do," she said, pushing herself along as the other two follow.

"Then where are your notes? It's open note Addie," Said the one with shaggy brown hair, Corbin. "Thought you needed an A in your math class to get the new MP3 you wanted."

"Gaw, what are you two- my substitute parents? I'll do fine, advanced trig is easy," she replied with a chuckle. They were silent for a second, just gliding along on their skateboards when Crobin noticed something wrong.

"Addie, where's your backpack?" He asked. Addie looked like she was in actually thinking about it before replying.

"In the third stall in the girls restroom in the yellow hallway in the toilet," she said nonchalantly. The two boys shouted 'what' in unison.

"How in the world did it get there?!" Matt shouted.

"Reanna." Matt and Corbin looked at each other.

"You two really have a bad tiff huh?"

"Can we change the subject? I already have to worry about begging Mrs. Cambell for an extra day for that stupid project," she said with a scowl and then smiled, seeing the school coming into view. "What are you guys being for Halloween?"

"We have to dress up?" Matt asked flatly.

"Well duh, it's Halloween. It's when all the ghosts and ghouls come out to play with us narrow-minded children," said, jumping the curb and landing back on her board. Corbin and Matt did the same then they kicked up their boards and carried them the rest of the way.

"Well, I guess... a pirate? I dunno, I've lost interest in Halloween a long time ago," said Corbin with a yawn.

Addie stopped and turned to stare at him with wide, bulging eyes. "We are no longer friends."

"What?"

"Joking, but really that's not funny. You know that Halloween is like Christmas for me."

"Yeah, about that Addie, maybe you should choose a different holiday like St. Patrick's day or something." Said Matt.

Addie looked at him oddly, "Why?"

"Why?! Last year you claimed to see real monsters walking around! What's worst you said it as if you saw your next door neighbor walking down the street!" Corbin said incredulously.

"Hey," she said pointing a finger at him, "first of all, they're not mosters, I'd rather you call them something else not so offensive like creatures or mystical beings, and second of all, you guys have just lost your young creative minds." She said walking away from them when she finished.

"Addie, where the heck are you going?!" Matt called.

"Math, where else? See ya." She called back. She wanted to see if she could talk to the relatively new kid. She was bored with all the smart prisses in that class.

As the morning came the figure was gone. He made his way down the street tall and slim, the trench coat the only thing between him and detection besides a black hit over his head. Something seemed to pull him along, as if on the trail of something.

Zophar the Malice Eye. Previous captain of 1/3 of the Knights of the Night, which isn't much considering how many Nightmarians have actually survived an encounter with Luce and his minions. I for one will be damned to the Realm of Forgotten Dreams before I let him get through with his schemes.. I can feel him planning and gripping the tides as it were.. but what is it that-

Zophar found himself knocking into a tomboyish girl on a skate board, as fast as she hit him she flew back and just as fast he caught her by the collar, his bony hands still looking quite slim through his leather gloves. He set her down and and shook his head. His Red and orange Malice eye was visible to her for a mere second before he hurried off.

"She.. She see me..? "

Another routine, another day bathed and dressed. He wrapped his favorite scarf around his neck and made sure his brother was still asleep. He'd be starting the lowest grade soon enough. His eyes came around the room and then left past the door, when he noticed a hinge was off. He readjusted it and closed the door, happy with his work.

By the time he ate his morning meal and stepped out to walk to school, which he lived only a few blocks from, he could only ponder how he'll do on that test of his. But deep within he knew he wanted to think about that light, the light he saw from his window in the distance.

He entered the school, going towards the Yellow hallways and past that to the corner of the blue, standing there as he awaited the school bell. " This Advanced Trig.. Neh, I'm sure I'll be better through it. If not I'll just fix it like I always do. " He adjusted his green smooth scarf about his neck, letting an end loose at his front so he wasn't too warm. With his books at his side and his other materials in his pocket he was ready for a full day at school.

Addie had hopped back on her skateboard, taking a different route to school, a longer one. She needed time to make a speech to tell Mrs. Cambell because she knew that the woman wouldn't believe her if she told the truth. Lost in thought she crashed into someone. Her skateboard flew out from under her and she almost fell backwards until she felt the person grab her collar. She looked up at a face covered in bandages with a red eye showing through. She stared at it for a second before the man hurried off, muttering something to himself. Addie stood, dumbfounded for a second before realizing that that man, no matter how strange he looked, just saved her from smacking her head into the pavement. "Thank you!!!" she called after him, hoping her heard before running to her skateboard and racing off to school with excitement. She wasn't crazy. He was one of them, she was sure of it. As much as she wanted to tell Matt and Corbin, she didn't think that it would be the wisest choice.

By the time Addie reached her the school and put her skateboard in her locker, she had only one minute late to get to class without being late and her advanced trig teacher wasn't very chipper in the morning. Running down the yellow hall where teachers had already retreated to their classrooms, Addie turned sharply into the blue hall and knocked almost calmly on the door to the classroom, taking her hat off and smoothing her hair in the process. The door opened and Mr. Gregor looked down at her with a frown. The bell rang. "What's your excuse for being late today Adalina?" he asked in a drawl.

"Well, if I could have had time to put my foot in the classroom then I wouldn't have been," Addie said with a cheesy smile. Mr. Gregor rolled his eyes and let her in.

"Don't let it happen again Addie or you will be sitting in detention for an entire week with Coach Graves," he said returning to his desk to get the test sheets to pass out.

Addie almost involuntarily twitched, she hated Coach Graves. He treats kids as if they were his football team when they lose an important game. "Yes sir," she said reluctantly as she sat down next to the new kid, though he wasn't very new anymore. She suddenly realized she didn't have a pencil. Patting her many pockets of her green cargo pants she desperately searched for one, cursing under her breath when she did not find one. Addie put her head down and softly banged it continuously. No backpack. No project. No pencil. She was going to blame all of this on Reanna if anyone gave her the chance. It wasn't as if she'd be lying anyway. She didn't want to ask anyone for a pencil while Mr. Gregor was passing the test down their row so she remained silent until the teacher passed. It was going to be a long day. Look on the bright side Addie, only nine days until Halloween... not including today... she thought to herself.

A pink orb floated along the streets of Nightmaria, ultimately unoticed by the busy mobs of creatures preparing for the holiday season. This was all too perfect a situation for the small dark fairy, it was easier to carry out her deeds if she wasn't noticed.

Smirking her little mischevious grin, Roxy zig-zagged along with glee. This was the time to practice, all hallows eve was certainly near, and she wouldn't allow herself to be unprepared.

The main ingredient for pulling a prank was first and foremost, opportunity. After that some careful planning and skill were the perfect seasonings for a serving of trickery. Roxy knew this all too well.

Resting her wings she landed atop a wire fence, heaving a sigh as she examined her surroundings. Roxy's eyes lit with devilish intent. All you need is opportunity..

[Aura of the Twilight]

Lolita had been looking around when she saw a little pink orb fly by not too far away. She smiled slightly and started to follow the little orb of light, until it landed onto of a wire fence. Lolita walked up and smiled, now that she was closer the recognized the little one as to be Roxy the Mischevious. lolita knew Roxy since a few years back when Roxy played a trick on her. lolita had found the prank amusing even though it was on her, and so she had started to talk with Roxy, and on the rare occasion she would help Roxy with her pranks, although that was once in a blue moon.

"Hello Roxy, planning another prank on someone?" Lolita said while smiling at Roxy as a small breeze blew her hair back some. "Knowing you I'm probably bound to have one pulled on me for being here." lolita added while laughing slightly.

And I know it's short but I don't have time for more.

Carvine walked silently out the door of her house. She thought of the town square or main place of activity now that it was only 9 days until
Halloween. She appeared off to the side knowing from experience to pop up out of no where in the middle would result in a trampling.

Carvine wandered aimlessly through the throngs. She both loved and loathed this time of year. It was her favorite holiday still but it was also the anniversary of Yakiob's death. Carvine stopped at one of the many graveyards and sat in the dirt beside a tombstone.

Rath continued on his journey to no particular place, he was enjoying a stroll through down, people said hi and he replied back but quietly so no one could hear him. His continued walking and also noticed the pink thing resting on a wired fence, and with another girl talking to her. Of course, he has seen them around a few times but then again, who hasn't seen each other in this town more than once. He then thought of Zophar wondering where he was and what exactly he was doing. Zophar was the 1/3 captain of the Knights Of The Night, as he was a member, he usually doesn't brag. Rath continued his brisk walk, slowly and pacefully, hoping to find someone who was his next patient.

Roxy grinned at the sight of a familiar face. "Hihi Lolita!" she exclaimed in a voice both sweet and also rather bold for such a small creature. She giggled at the beautiful succubus's assumption. "Heehee, Roxy hasn't planned anything yet, no she hasn't. Roxy's trying so hard to think of something she hasn't done before.." her expression looked thoughtful for a moment before she shrugged. "Roxy just thought of something else that might be fun though.. Could Roxy keep Lolita company today? Roxy hasn't seen Lolita for quite some time!" Lolita would certainly be fun to follow about, she had always been a good sport even when having a trick played upon her. The small pink haired fairy locked her hands together pleadingly, awaiting a response from the succubus.

"Lee hey lee!!!" Hijikata turned around swi to the name. It was his human name, but his wife and friends called him Hijikata. They knew that he liked to give himself weird names. To them this was his newest one. Hijikata looked at the young girl and grinned. "Yes May. Is their something that i could help you with." The girl shook her head and handed his a small folder full of papers. "This is from up above. The seniors are getting restless. You better catch that midnight killer. Or they may just fire you." She turned and winked at him. He smiled and turned around. Once he was out of view he looked at the report. Three women all of the age of 25, had been drained of their blood and then left near a large housing section of the city. They had been burned to a crisp. Their teeth were long and seemed vampire like. They had no family and were sex dealers. They sold their bodies for money. It wasn't uncommon for one of them to be dead but the fact was that what had been reported it seemed that a vampire had killed them. This couldn't be Hijikata. Was it another one of his kind banished from his good?

[Nespa]

Flea blinked when rath passed her window and smiled. climbing up her desk she opened the window and yelled to rath "doctor rath are you in a hurry or would to like to come in for a mug of nice hot snake and rat poison?". she kind of adored the doctor since he helped her with her ingrewn claws, it had hurted like hell and her mother had been unable to fix it. also they could not find the reason why they grew in everytime. She chuckled in the end it turned out she just needed a scratching pole.

[Seikyu Kiba]

Rath heard Flea call about having a mug of rat and snake poison, he turned around to face her and gave a small nod "That sounds devine." He said walking over to Flea, while he was walking her remembered when he first met her, even if she just needed a scratching post, he was also happy to help. He approached the window and looked down at her claws "How are they doing?" He asked smoothly. He walked over to the door at a brisk pace and then stood there, he wasn't about to barge in...that would be rude. He for some reason was always being invited to do stuff with Flea, usually they can be seen together walking around Nightmaria, and at one point shopping for really nothing inparticular.

[Aura of the Twilight]

Lolita chuckled at Roxy's response she always found it cute and amusing to talk to Roxy because she reffered to herself in third person, "Having a bit of a block Roxy?" Lolita asked. She smiled a little bit and then looked up at the moon for a moment before turning back to Roxy, "Sure you can keep me company Roxy, although I don't really have any destinations at the moment."

"Lolita was silent for a moment before saying, "So, Roxy, have any specific plans for All Hallows Eve, or are you just planning on the usual pranks on the humans?" Lolita asked, Roxy.

[Nespa]

Flea smirked at him "i am fine, i use my pole reguarly enough" she jumped off to her desk and opened her door which als had a kittydoor. She used the kittydoor more often than her normal one. she really just used it to let companie in. Opening the door she moved inside and into the kitchen where she mixed some rat and snake poison together and putted them in a kettle above a small fire. While the mixture boiled she opened her fridge and got out some fuzzy tarantula cake. She cutted two pieces and putted them on plates placing them on the kitchen table "i also have your favorite cake"she quickly pinned her piece to the table with a fork when it tryed to run off.

Seth had been in class right at the first bell, not worrying at all about what he needed or how he'd do. He was set to do the best he could and was fully prepared. He looked about the room as the kids flooded in, and saw Miss Adelina walk in, the teacher seeming to cut the tomboyish one some slack. She sat next to him, which wasn't so much by coincidence because no one else in the advanced Trig class would even sit near him. There was a row between each his sides that were empty, except for Adelina.

He never really knew her, but he guessed that they were both like outcasts in the Trig class full of the smarter students. But she seemed distressed. Adelina seemed to have forgot a pencil. Quickly as the teacher was advancing his way down the row he swiped a pencil from his pocket, a mechanical one full and ready to go, and placed it on her desk before the teacher had the chance to notice. His auburn eyes then returned to the front of the class room, as if paying attention to the teacher as he handed out papers.

He heard the human girl shout.. it wasn't a scream of terror though. It was more like a show of gratitude. She had seen him.. that wasn't a good thing at all. If she had seen him maybe she'd blow his cover, and with that he had to confront her to make sure she wouldn't try to start anything with the human authorities.

" This isn't my lucky year.. It's been so many of them and I have never been detected.. yet this year.. It must be as I thought. More will happen this year then expected.. " His voice came to a low murmur with him, himself and his eye hidden now deeper under the hat. He made his way towards the high school, using his eye to cast the illusion that he was a yard worker out doing janitor like things as he'd scan the windows from the outside. He was so quick and sleek with his movements he barely made a sound as his bony fingers came across each window, ducking low to scan a glance at each class room.

"That's good to hear." Rath walked into the kitchen and looked around, it wasn't the first time he has been inside her house, it's just everything seems to be a scratching post in the house...even the table. Rath took at seat at the table as Flea pinned her piece down. He bowed his head "Thank you Miss Flea." He said politely, he waited for her to sit down before he started eating, he wasn't the kind to simply start eating when he was handed something, he usually waited until everyone was seated and ready. "Miss Flea, in a few days it shall be Halloween."

[Shobu_Shimizu]

Addie looked up and saw a pencil randomly sitting on her desk. She looked around to see who it was, the girl in front of her was too timid to even look at Addie and the guy behind her was obviously asleep. She looked to the "new" kid.. what was his name? Seth? He lookedf as if he were actually paying attention to the teacher. What a faker. Addie thought with a small smile. "Thanks," she whispered to him. Mr. Gregor gave the routine speech of no cheating, blah blah blah. Addie began working on her test before told them to start, when she suddenly felt something. It was the same eerie feeling she got on Halloween and when she bumped into the strange man. She looked around but it caught Mr. Gegor's attention, "I hope you weren't thinking of cheating already Adalina." She looked to him and shook her head.

"Sorry, just felt some chills," she said, mentally smacking herself for being so honest. Mr. Gregor just stared at her strangely before shaking his head telling her she had a warning. "Yes sir," she said before turning her attention back to the test. Her head was just jumbled up after seeing that man's eye.

Roxy hovered over the fence, then glided over towards Lolita, landing on her shoulder. "Well.. Roxy wants to play the biiiiiiiggggggeeeessstt trick ever on Halloween!" she exclaimed, bringing her small arms over her head and spreading them apart in order to properly signal how large of a prank she was indeed planning.

Smirking her nearly constant mischevious grin Roxy nodded exuberantly "Yep yep, though.. Roxy still doesn't know what she is planning.." The dark fairy pouted a bit as she sat upon Lolita's shoulder. "Roxy is sure she will think of something though! It will just take Roxy some time is all."

She eyed Lolita "Why does Lolita not have any plans for today?" she asked curiously.

[Chuck the Ninja]

Hijikata sat at his desk and looked over the case. This person was sloppy and new to killing. If he wanted to find him then he would have to go undercover during that night. It was something he could do. His silver hair hung down to his back. His blue eyes watching come his mind thinking. He could feel the sun's gaze on his back. It rays slowly draining him of his power. His hunger was out of control. It was only an hour before his break but he was already getting ready. He ordered his food and finished his work. He double checked them three times and then got a phone call. "Hello this is Hijika......Lee. Yes Inspector Lee. This is who?...........Oh yes Miss Nagasaki!..........No in sorry we still don't have the killer. Don't wors we will get them." Hijikata rolled his eyes, and set the phone down. He waved for the young girl from before and asked her to handle it. He stood up left without saying thank you. He turned and began to walk down the stairs. It was lunch time. He was ready to eat.

Seth heard the 'Thanks' a from Adelina and couldn't help but smile as he looked down to his test. The test was like a packet of papers, each one sided. He wondered why the teacher didn't save paper by double sided printing it. Maybe the printer wasn't working properly? That made his start to think about how he'd fix it. As he pondered he through Sin to the Cos, and he literally made a symphony of Trigonometry work, filling in the answers on the specific lines as thought they were near nothing. He came to the last problem in the packet within the first thirty minutes of class, and he became stuck on what he'd have to do.

but right when he hit that dilemma he felt a shiver.. A shiver that he noticed Adelina had felt before he did. What was that? Did any one else feel that? The window wasn't open and the room was quite warm. Something just felt... Familiar?

" Last night.. " He thought turned his head towards the window and sure enough he saw the Janitor outside.. " Never seen him around here.. " As he thought that he saw through the illusion for a moment and froze, his eyes glued to the window as the Janitor ducked under the window.

The teacher, seeing his somewhat new student staring out the window walked over and shut the blinds before whispering to him.

" Are you finished yet? "

Seth violently shook his head and went back to the problem, he was scared.. scared as hell. That large red eye.. those bandages and that white hair.. that wasn't normal..

The teacher thought he was just cold.. oddly enough. He had no reason to be. But like the teacher would always do he nodded it off.

" She's in there.. and another saw me. But how did he see through my illusion? He must have really keen eyes for a human. That's just great, now I have to approach them both.. " He was never a human lover or sympathizer, he was always a justice going Nightmarian and felt that both sides should just go with the balance and mind their own business.

He knew he was going to have a long time before Halloween came.. a very long time as it seemed. " I must be losing my touch.. "

With that he shot himself into a nearby orange autumn bitten tree, and used a more powerful illusion to cloak himself from human eyes. As long as he didn't move he should be able to keep that state at that level and not tire himself out.

she putted two cups down, some drops went over the side and burned holes into the table "i know, i am making a extra lot of sweets this year" she took a sip "i just hope it wil be just as peacefull as the last couple of halloweens though" smilling she drank some more "and you good doctor off healing this year again like always?". She smiled at him as another spider sank down from a thread quicklty she pushed her cup aside so that the spider woulden't land in her drink. She wasent disgusted by the spider hell she loved them but she not really want it to disinigrate. when it landed on the table it walked to her and she reached out to pet it only to have it to the same thing like the spider earlyer, it rolled on his back drew in his paws and was dead. She frowned at him "doctor is there some disease among spiders thats the 5the spider this week that died in my presence" she quicklt slammed a knife through rath his cake piece since it tryed to run away aswel.

Carvine rose from her spot she gave a cursory glance at her dress and wiped it with her hand. She wandered through the city again she didn;t walk so much as thought of a place and appeared there to see if they had something for her Halloween list and they usually didn't by the time she had visited three stores she had only one package to show for it. She smiled slightly at those who said hi but didn't reply. They were them and she was her who really cared? Carvine thought of another store that always had what she liked and popped up on the front step she climbed the rest.

The owner smiled at her "Looking for something, Carvine?"

Carvine smiled back. "I don't really have a list" She said as she wandered through the festive aisles. After her visit to that store Carvine had enough to start. She thought for a moment and decided that just popping up at her door wouldn't be fun. She took the long way home. The way she hardly ever used.

Rath watched the spider die, and then looked up. "Yes, I will continue healing...and I won't make the same mistake I did all those years ago." Rath said taking a bite of cake and then sipping on his rat and snake poison. "I perfer to heal the ones who are injured...someone has to do it." He spoke very smoothly like the wind. Rath thought for a moment and nodded a little bit, "Have you been wearing and spider repelent or anything that is toxic to the touch?" He asked tilting his head. He flicked the dead spider off into the fire, it burned quickly "Other then that...maybe some sort of magic?"

[Nespa]

Flea shook her head "no the only thing most spiders can't stand is my drink and as you see i moved it out of the way" sighing she took a bite of her cake ignoring the squirming as she ate it. Swallowing she looked at him "i just hope it isent a bad omen". she blinked as his magic qeustion "i cannot really do any magic so that could not be it either". she sighed "maybe al my old spiders here are just saying goodbye before they die"she chuckled lightly at the thought and frowned "hmmm a boy a few doors down has a couple of ballisk, spiders fear those maybe i should ask if one escaped" she took another sip of her drink.

[Aura of the Twilight]

Lolita looked at Roxy and smiled to her as she sat on her shoulder. "Well I always have my preparations for All Hallows Eve ready. While I could possibly buy some stuff to do something, I don't really need to. I can go to the human world as I am and they would think me to be dressed up, and if I wanted to play any real prank I probably could just use my illusion magic to do so." Lolita explained as she started to walk down the street with Roxy on her shoulder.

"Hmmm, well, I'm sure whatever you think of will be a great prank." Lolita said reassuringly to Roxy. "Plus you've still got a few days to think of something to do." she added to her previous commet as she smiled smugly yet sweetly to a nekoboy Nm, making him blush and look away.

"I still have it!" she thought.

Adelina finished her test in about the first thirty minutes of class. It was easy and Adelina had a somewhat photographic memory and a fast hand. She still felt the chill and turned her head to look out the window for no apparent reason. That's when she saw the janitor duck under the window as if he'd been caught spying. Mr. Gregor had suddenly shut the blinds and walked over to whisper something to Seth. Had Seth seen it too?

Addie sat back and watched the clock. Fifteen minutes left of class. She took one of the scrap papers that she didn't use and silently tore a piece off, big enough for her to wite on but small enough to completely hide in her hand. On it she wrote, Did you see that too? Meet me after class. With that finished, she crumpled it and passed it along wit the pencil as a decoy back to Seth.

Addi raised her hand and Mr. Gregor walked over and collected her test. "Can I go to the library?" she whispered to him. He thought about it for a second and nodded, writing her a pass. She stood and walked to the door, glancing at Seth before she walked out. Now to find that so called "janitor".

(OMG, sorry so late!! Life...)

Frex finally awoke. It wasn't like zombies really slept anyway, but the part of him that was still thinking human required the act. He pulled himself off of his chair and, yawning in the process, proceeded to stretch out with the usual popping and snapping associated with the morning task. Life as a severo-zombie like himself could be wonderful, save for the fact that your body wasn't completely together sometimes.

After pulling his shoulder back into socket and rotating it several times to ensure it was seated, he dressed himself and walked outside into the streets of Nightmaria. As usual, the freakshow that was the demon world was chaotic with chattering creatures and young demon-children playing together. Made him so glad to be here, thinking back to his life as a human before he became what he was today.

Walking down the street at his normal relaxed pace he eyed several other denizens shopping throughout the stores of town. All Hallows Eve would be upon them, he reminded himself. Some creatures preferred to dress up, Frex enjoyed decapitating himself and scaring humans as he talked to them. Ever since that one night long ago, however, that night was a job now. Sighing, he continued his stroll through the bustling city.

Rath nods "A Balisk you say? Yes...that would make sense." Rath said finishing his cake and poison. "So Miss Flea, what are your plans today?" He asked quietly as usual, for some reason when he spoke his voice would change in pitch, but never to a high pitch. Rath look at another spider as it came down from a web and landed in his hand "hmmmm." Rath thought as it curled up and died. "Miss Flea I do agree with your balisk theory." He said nodding slowly.

Seth followed suit, he figured out the last problem with ease now that his mind seemed far more open then before. He raised his hand and asked for a pass to the library as well, whispering that he had a bit of research he had to do.

The teacher grumbled lightly at the thought and wrote him a pass, he was soon following behind Addie. He stopped at his locker to put his books away and caught up with her. He whispered as they reached the central circle hall where the hallways connected.

" Yes.. I saw that. I thought I saw that last night too, out my window. Adelina, is your name right? I'm Seth. "

The boy held out a hand towards her as they walked towards the library's direction. " But what are we going to find at the library, that is, if we are going there at all? "

" Well, I'd hate to be a stalker but it's the only way. I have to get them to be silent, one way or another.. " Zophar debated in his head, he knew that if he couldn't trust the kids he could use his eyes to alter their memories. But using that much power would drain him, especially with two kids to alter. Even then he'd risk being caught doing the act, and then not only be tired but also on the run from Human kind.

[Chuck the Ninja]

Hijikata sat in his car eating his lunch. It was mid day. He still had eight more hours to work before he would be able to in home. He ran over the files one more time. "So someone is trying to be of? Lets find out what and who you are." Hijikata read over it and then threw it down on his seat. He started the car and made his way toward the crime scene. It was at a bath house in the mountains. It would take him an hour to get their. Hijikata laughed and thought about what was going on. Hallow's eve would be something to remember.

[Nespa]

Flea finished her drink and cake as wel "i need to go shopping for ingridients voor de treats i am giong to make" skitting her chair backwards she stood "care to join me doctor?". she smiled but that turned into a frown again when a another spide came down and dies in rath his hands. she sighed "i wil ask him later today, for now". she walked towards a closet and pulled out a large card "i need to shop" she smiled at him "those sweets are not gonna bake themselfs ya know" as she spoke she dragged the large kart into the backyard and waited for rath.

Rath blinked for a moment at the offer, but before he could reply she was already outside. Rath thought for a moment and then put on a small smirk, which nobody has ever seen. When his smirk faded he slowly got up and stepped outside. He looked at Flea and walked swiftly to her "I shall accompany you." Rath said briskly and stood beside Flea, shopping with Flea was always intresting, people usually whispered rumors about the two, which made him wonder if NightMarians love jumping to conclusions.

[Nespa]

Flea smiled brightly showing off her fangs "great" opening the garden door she pulled the kart out and walked towards the shopping district. a few nightmarians chuckled when they saw her and the doctor walking. There were many rumors about them, one even wilder than the other. A few weeks ago a elderly werewolf who adored flea for some reason asked when she could expect kittens from her. flea had just laughed she glanced at rath and had to admit he was hansom for a nightmarian but she had doubt he could love her afteral they were whole diffrent creatures. On teh other hand she knew her logic made no sense afteral she was raised by a skeleton. She shook her head from thoughts as she found the store she needed to be at.

[Leorina]

"Hey, Leo, are you going to Ali's Halloween party? I'm going as Alice, from that Lewis Carroll book!" 'Manda said to her new friend.
The girl sitting next to her at the lunch table had a confused look. "What party?"
'Manda faltered. That's right...Leorina wasn't invited... 'Manda quickly shook her head. "Never mind. I'll see you later, alright?" She quickly abandoned the other girl and left the lunchroom, blushing from guilt.
Leorina, who was the girl left behind, stared after her friend. At least, she thought 'Manda was. 'Manda was nice, but she felt loyal to her other friends, so they usually came first.
She picked at the pumpkin pie slice her mother had purchased earlier that week, a dazed expression on her face. "Halloween party...," she said aloud.
Her slightly curly hair drooped saddeningly over her eyes as she began thinking of the somewhat lonely Halloween ahead. A moment later, she stood from the table with a determined look. Hah! Lonely? I don't think so! She walked out of the lunch room in a slight huff; she was embarrassed about how easy she had let something get to her.

Rath stopped infront of the store Flea stopped at and then thought for a moment about the time when Flea told him about the lady that asked if she was expecting from him. I wonder how that would be? He thought to himself then looked down at Flea "So, what are you going to make?" He asked with a soft voice. They were both approached by a strange zombie type creature.

"Well if it isn't Flea and Rath, Nightmarias strangest couple." He laughed and looked at Flea "So, you planning on having kittens?" He tilted his head and couldn't help but smile, seeing these walking together was like seeing a cat and a fly.

Rath couldn't help but blush a little bit, to hide it he put his hat infront of his face. "Soon..." He said smoothly with a little serious and sacasm in his voice, he was more just trying to get the zombie out of their hair. Although in the back of his head he did think of Flea to be a very nice and sweet girl, and very attractive.

"Well congrats." The zombie walked away laughing hystericaly.

"Shall we continue?" Rath said putting his hat back on his head and then walking swiftly into the store.

[.Gogo]

"Heeheehee, Roxy saw that Miss Lolita!" Roxy lifted off of Lolita's shoulder to look from her to the nekoboy, and giggled. The dark fairy circled around Lolita's head, "Roxy bets you have many boyfriends, hmmm?" She nodded her head again enthusiastically, knocking her hat off she caught it, then fixed the black hat back upon her head. "..Eh heh heh"

The dark fairy heaved a sigh of wonder as she looked around at the ghouls walking by, busy with their holiday preparations. "Roxy wishes every day was Halloween.. Everyone is always so happy. Roxy likes humans too, humans are so funny!" she giggled. "Does Lolita have any special plans for Halloween this year?"

[Aura of the Twilight]

Lolita laughed slightly at Roxy's comment, "No I find no need in a boy friend at the moment Roxy." She continued to walk which was more difficult than it seemed, for she had to pay attention to Roxy as well.

"Specail palns? hmmmm," Roxy thought for a moment to see if she did or didn't. "No I don't really think so, not this year. why do you ask Roxy?" lolita asked as she smiled at the energetic fairy.

[Nespa]

After she stopped she placed her kart so she could easily find it but it would not in the way of other shoppers. She smiled at him "choclate cookies and caramel muffins" she was about to enter the store as the zombie aproached and qeustion them. She just turned bloodred as rath handled the qeustion. when the zombie left she muttered something under her breath about ripping him apart for asking emberasing qeustions. when her face had cooled down, she moved into the shop and grabbed a shopping cart.

"Sounds delightful..." Rath looked at Flea when she turned bloodred and the shook his head "He will get what's coming to him." He said in a low tone so only Flea could hear him. Of course, Rath wasn't the one to start a fight, but he just wasn't sure about Flea. He just wanted to stitch the zombie back up when Flea got done ripping him apart. He followed Flea close behind and browsed with his eyes. He shook of all thoughts of Flea and continued to look around. "So, you going to pass them out to kids this year?" He asked briskly.

Ricard was walking now the hall leaning up against the lockers, when he got to the central hall he over heard two of the students talking about something strange that they saw. He walked over and then gave them a serious look "So, you guys can sense them to?" He asked looking down at the ground and back at the students. "I'm glad to know I'm not the only one..." He said shaking his head "I got thrown out of class so I couldn't help over hear your conversation." He said with a smirk "By the way I'm Ricard." He said holding out his hand.

[Nespa]

Flea pulled her shopping list from her pocket "lets see sugar, flower, caramel.." mumbleing slightly as she passed the racks with items. suddenly she stopped and blinked, she looked towards rath smilling "wanna stay for dinner or do you have to leave" she heard some other shoppers mumble and wonder at her proposal but they scattered when she glared at them "really can't these anyone just invite a person to dinner withou rumors starting"she muttered and pushed the kart along.

Addie looked to Seth when he finally caught up with her and she smiled at him, "Nice to meet ya Seth... wait, you saw him outside your window last night? What, is he like... stalking you or something?" Addie almost twitched involuntarily at the thought. Almost.

They came upon a boy who was standing alone in the empty hall. Addie arched an eyebrow when he spoke. So he can see them as well. She was happy to find more people that she could talk to about these creatures that no one else believes exists without being called a loon. "Nice to meet ya Ricard. I'm Adelina, Addie for short," she said to him. "And to answer your question Seth, I'm going out to see that guy. He had saved me earlier and for a second I thought he had followed me here but nw I'm not so sure. Either way I wanna find out what he's doing here."

[Tetsanosuke]

Seth took the boys hand and gave him a hardy handshake, but he was sure to signal them to quiet down a bit. " We are in the hall way with about fifteen minutes left until class lets out. By the way I am Seth, Ricard. The halls can echo quite easily, I'm already amazed no one was around to hear us. "

He brought his hand back as he turned to Adelina, and nodded to both of their presences. " Well if we are going to look for that thing, whether it's intentionally around us or not, then we'd better get a mosey. " He pointed down the hallways, though he was unsure of which direction Adelina was trying to leave from.

He found himself pondering on the inside, as he calculated and started to come up with different ideals and predicaments, possibilities. Maybe he was still in bed dreaming. That would explain why the test seemed so easy. But alas, he could finally say he wasn't sleeping. Although the random kid with a baseball bat didn't help him in this revelation.

" Well Adelina, will you be telling us where you plan to seek out this ghostly figure of our senses? "

Rath browsed a little bit and looked at Flea "I would be delighted." He said with a small nod. He looked at everyone muttering and then scattering "It seems we are a pretty well known...how do they say...couple?" Rath looked at everyone with his soft eyes, they walked away quickly, nobody really knows what exactly the doctor was thinking so they best not to stick around and find out "why do people set their sights on such meaningless rumors?" He then got his mind off of it "Flea, would you like to go out together on Halloween?" He asked briskly.

Ricard shook both of their hands and then spoke quietly "I'm glad to know I'm not some freak." He said with a small chuckle and then throwing his bat over his shoulder, "Well...we should really look for that janitor, I didn't get thrown out for nothing." He said nodding, Ricard scratched the front of his nose and then smiled, "Shall we be off....pick a direction and I shall follow."

Addie felt as if they were playing follow the leader. She glanced at both boys before nodding and continud to walk. She headed to the steps that lead to the room. This school didn't have the money for fancey security equipment so they didn't need worry about getting caught up on the roof. She was too paranoid to go out the front, since that's where the front office was.

Addie walked up the steps and as quietly as possible, opened the old iron door to the rooftop. "There's a ladder that leads down to ground level," she said pointing at the rusty metal bars. "As you can see, it isn't very sturfy so be careful going down it." With that said, she began to descend the creaky ladder. Carefully, she put one foot on the ground then the other instead of carelessly jumping off like she usually would. Addie then leaned against the wall and waited for Ricard and Seth to come down.

[Nespa]

Flea grumbled a bit until he asked to spend halloween with her "that would be nice" she chuckled "usealy atlist one kid eats until he is sick". she started to pull items from the rack again. checking her list every now and then she would move down another aisle. After a few a minutes she had everything she needed and moved towards the registern After ignoring the qeustion stare of the the half spider lady she paid and pushed her shopping cart outside to her own cart "it wil fuell the rumors though"she joked as she switched the items between carts.

[Seikyu Kiba]

Rath nodded slowly "Indeed, it would." He said helping Flea put the items in her kart. "Although, it would make it seem as though the rumors were true." He said briskly, for some reason while around Flea he seemed to talk more, but usually only when spoken to. He would never admit it, but the rumors made him feel happy, probably because it made people wonder. The same zombie creature walked up to them again.

"So doctor when is the wedding?" He asked jokingly and with a smile that had no teeth in it.

"Tomorrow, eight pm, on the old bridge of Vampire Lake." Rath said again in a sarcastic yet serious voice. Maybe the Zombie was just stupid to not catch the Sarcasm, or maybe he sounded to serious. Rath was kind of enjoying this, not as much as killing, but almost as much.

The zombie walked away without saying anything, just a smile on his face, he took out a quail feather and wrote it down on a piece of paper.

"Sorry about that, but sometimes they need to get a taste of their own medicine." Rath said covering his face with his hat to hide his blushing. "Anyway, shall we be off?" He said smoothly.

Ricard slowly started to climb down the latter, of course his bad boy "nature" made him just jump off the roof of the school, when he hit the ground his croutched and then stayed in that postition until Seth climbed down "Hurry up you bum, before we get caught!" Ricard yelled up to Seth.

[Tetsanosuke]

Of course it was the weird one with a baseball bat that yelled,out in the middle of the school yard to boot.

Seth grunted gently, making sure he didn't yell back before climbing down and looking about the courtyard. The wind started to blow with such a gentle caress, a small bead of sweat ran down the side of his face as he seemed to scan around the area. His eyes so keen let onto a difference in the view, there was a tree where the air seemed to bot reach a few leaves upon a branch as if something was blocking the wind itself.

He then noticed that the small area before the leaves looked as though the light was being distorted, and so his eyes were glued to that spot.

" Uhh.. Guys...?"

The nightmarian Wraith watched them as they came down from the roof, his larger eye opening wider as the sure surprise of them coming after him struck him.

" My my.. they are brave ones aren't they? Either very brave, or very stupid. " He thought to himself, this scene was surprising enough without the prospect of kids who 'knew' what they were doing.

They were approaching a creature they knew nothing of, or in the case of his knowledge, barely anything about. Zophar then focused his Malice eye to a higher stage of it's power to become completely intangible, swooping in between the three before appearing and latching his claws around their collars.

His fingers turned to black metal as he was able to fit Adelina and Seth in one grip, Ricard in the other. With that he bounded up the side of the building as though they were weightless and set them down as they landed at the top.

His trench coat was then opened by the wind and blown away some, his large red and orange eye seemed to fix upon them all as his white hair flourished. They could see his long lanky body wrapped with the bandages all around, his fingers shifting back to their bony selves.

" You all have seen me, or sensed me before this moment. Now give me a good reason why I shouldn't just erase your memories of me? " He said with his deep voice coming through the bandages, as if unaffected by the lack of jat movement.

Addie almost lashed out at the creature when he grabbed them but decided that it was not the wisest of all choices. She felt the land disappear from under her feet as she, Seth, and Ricard were lifted from the ground.

Once they were on the rooftop again, other than feeling that she wasted her time climbing down the ladder, Addie felt her stomach churn. She couldn't tell if it was excitement or fear. She suspected it was both, especially since the man had just threaten to erase all memory of him from their minds. Addie tried to think quick. She didn't want to forget. This is what she was wiating for. A change in daily routine. Just staring at the creature sent shivers up and down her spine. She hadn't felt so awake since Matt and Corbin bought her a new skateboard for no apparent reason.

"... Because... you can trust us?" she didn't mean for what she said to come out inquiringly but it had and she prayed that he didn't take it the wrong way.

[Chuck the Ninja]

Hijikata listened to the inn keeper talk about the body he found. He toke notes and then thanked the man. "Night will be here shortly." Hijikata would be able to find the killer in the dead of the night. He grinned and left. He drove all the way back toward the city. He stopped and got himself a drink before returning home. His family meet him at the door. Hijikata hugged them and sat down for dinner. He then toke a shower and changed into his all black jogging type warm up suit. He kissed his wife and left the house. Not knowing if he was coming back.

Roxy landed on her shoulder again, shrugging her shoulders slightly. "Ah, no reason, no reason." She shot her a sideways glance and continued, hinting a bit of a smirk as she did so "Roxy just assumed that persons as important as yourself had important businesses to be attending to, that's all" Even the most intuitive Nightmarians had difficulty understanding the thought processes of a dark fairy. It was as if her kind was engineered for trickery and deception. Roxy might have been thinking of something, concocting some scheme, but the fairy was so innocent in appearance and so giddy that such presumptions were hard to even fathom.

"Wow.. the day's nearly over.." Roxy said, stating the obvious. "..One day closer to halloween!"

[Nespa]

flea nodded and started to pull the cart along "hmmm let them wonder, as long as we know the truth right" she smiled at him. Pulling the cart along she watched that she did not run over some of teh smaller nightmarians and entered her house. as soon as she puttedt he grocery's away, she started on the dinner witch was frog eye soup.

[Seikyu Kiba]

Rath watch Flea cook and then slowly sat down at the near by table chair. "It's going to be morning soon." Rath said briskly "Thank you for having me over Miss Flea." He said still glancing around the room "Halloween will be approaching, I wonder...will he stier up trouble?" He said quietly and calmly.

Ricard joined the others back on the roof tops, the strange creature looked at them in a very disgusting manner "Is that anyway to..." He cut himself off when he heard the creature saying something of wiping their memories. "Do..you think wiping our memories will help any, we will just end up doing the same process of sensing you in my opinion." Ricard gave his best smile and started to sweat.

[Aura of the Twilight]

Lolita lifted an eyebrow while looking to Roxy, "No reason, huh? Your kind has such perculiar thought patterns Roxy." Lolita laughed slightly as she said this. "Important? I'm not that important, Roxy. I'm just another NM succubus that excells in her usual talents." Lolita stated.

She looked up to see the moon setting in the distance. "Yes the day is almost over, it passed by quickly." Lolita chuckled again. "Well I see you as excited for All Hallow's Eve as everyone else is. I forgot to ask earlier, how rude of me, how have you been lately Roxy?" Lolita asked.

[Tetsanosuke]

Seth pinched Ricard at the shoulder, just lightly so he knew he wasn't helping by talking smart. For all they knew he could wipe their abilities to sense him all as well.

" Hush Ricard.. for all our sakes. "

He'd rather not gamble on that, and so he stepped towards the tall creature in front of the rest.

Zophar noticed the reaction Seth had, it seemed he was quite the careful one. Reminded him of himself, or at least what he thought of himself. The Malice Eye brought his large orange and red orb upon Adelina, her statement came with such true fear in her eyes. He activated his Malice Eye to look deep down into her fears and then cut it off when he wasn't going to unleash them back upon her.

In his head he thought " Humans are easy to read, yet they hold much fear.. Sometimes I find that quite amazing what they can hold. " He then found out why she said that he could trust them, at least her. She was afraid that she would never be out of a world of such meager pretenses, that life she saw as boring and just not wide enough.

His eye then came upon Seth, and he blinked once at his image.

" You must be a creature of impressive power to be able to create illusions, and bring us up this building so easily. This also brings to the question of why you might be here in our world in the first place. " Seth locked his auburn eyes with that of the creature, well his 'one' eye hey could plainly see.

" As for my reasoning, I can see that we all sense that there's more to this Halloween then what seems to be. " His calculating and confident voice came through. If the beast wanted to kill them he would have done it already. That must mean he either cares for lives or doesn't care to harm them. Because of what he was he deducted that perhaps he was of a group with similar goals, or maybe there were others who found killing humans maybe 'wrong'.

" As for what my friend Adelina said, you can trust us. We live in this world, and for whatever reason you are here. This must mean there's something that could affect your own, per-say. We have a right to know, and the ability to stay quiet to boot. " He said the last part of the sentence as he looked back at the other two then back up at the creature.

" I am Seth Delaquard, and as a person of my own world I ask you; What is this all about? "

His large eye blinked again, he was amazed for sure at the teenager's ability to calculate such thoughts and make such connections. A mind he would only seem to find within himself. Zophar blinked again at the group of kids and made a sound as if sighing. A very rare sight to see him do out in the open.

" You are quite the thinker human, or, Seth. You've scratched the tip of an iceberg so large that nearly any human who had even came close had slid back down. " With that he made a bit of a laugh, his large eye closing as he let it out and looked back at him and then the others when he was done.

His long legs pulled him over to the side of the group, and he looked down at Adelina, and then Ricard with the bat. Was he supposed to be a warrior? His mind started to dance around the thought of these humans facing Lucifer.. That toy the 'tough' boy had would do nothing.

" I wont erase your memories, so take a breath humans. At least I wont yet. You might become valuable in the days to come. " He started towards the other side of the roof and stopped.

" I am Zophar. All you need to know as of this moment is yes indeed there are others like me. Beings you'd only see in your nightmares. But unlike me there are those who see you as... " He paused at that last tone " Inferior, to say the least. Upon All Hallows Eve you are watched by kind and playful eyes, but this year watch out. I'm afraid even 'His' minions are about before the doorway opens. "

With that he stepped up at the edge of the roof, looking down at the drop as the bell was about to ring " I'll be in touch. If you see any more like me... Be sure to tell me. " After he spoke he jumped from the roof and he disappeared into his intangible state, swooping against the ground and out of the school grounds.

Seth couldn't believe his ears.. There were MORE of them? And even some that would KILL them? How were they supposed to defend themselves against such creatures? It's not even Halloween yet so they have no others to protect them. He brought himself between Ricard and Adelina, holding a hand between them as if waiting for that to add their hands into the center.

"As grim as it may seem, we are in this together. All we have are each other and Zophar, and I'm not sure how much we can depend on him. "

[Leorina]

Leorina sat daydreaming in her classroom. As she rested her cheek in her left palm, she stared dazedly out the classroom's window. The day seemed to be going by so quickly, but her dream world was dragging on.

She closed her eyes for a moment to allow her tired eyes some rest from the sunlight. As she did, though, a cold sweat began to form on her body. The darkness behind her lids swirled dizzyingly and she felt her lungs begin to compress. Her eyes snapped open in time for her to take a breath without it being too conspicuous. What the...?!

The cold sweat had disappeared, but it left behind a foreboding feeling. She stared out the window again, this time with the purpose of finding someone...something...Anything. "Who's out there...?" she whispered.

Adelina stared at Seth as he spoke. He was very good with deductable reasoning, something that Addie has the ability to do but is too lazy to. She watched as the one called Zophar left the three students to ponder. What use could they be to something that could probably do anything he pleased without even being caught? Now they know that there were more of those creatures out there and they weren't all sunshine and dandelions.

Seth had then put his hand out to claim them as a team. Addie didn't want to think for what. They were kids who were just a little more open than others, that's all. What could they do? On the other hand, wasn't this what she wanted? Addie suddenly didn't feel like arguing with herself and put her hand on top of Seth's with a small smirk. Who cares if they died or whatever as long as it's all fun and games until the end.

"Alright, but you guys have to treat me as an equal. Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean that I'm any less man than you two," she said, wondering if that last part even made sense.

Ricard looked down at Seth's hand and sighed "Alright." He said holding out his hand as well, "Addie you have youself a deal." He said placing his bat on his shoulder and smirking, "if it isn't obvious, I shall say that this Halloween will be different..." He then chuckled a little "If we die, I will smack you guys with my bat when we are in Heaven." Ricard was delighted to be with two other kids who understood him, "In this we are freaks to the end!" Ricard threw his fist in the air.

flea was stirring the soup while she looked out of her window 'almost morining 'she thought. Adding some more ingredients into the soup, she looked at rath a she spoke "i hope the halloween will be peacefull though"she smiled at him "but with the soldiers around it wil be right?' she went back to stiring the soup.

Carvine settled into her house. It was quieter here than outside. She noticed the day was almost over. She began mentally reviewing her plans for tomorrow, which weren't to different from today's. Go out and search for more things on her Halloween list. Bart's was sure to have things that she needed. Bart's was her favorite place to shop in reality the owner Kindryn the Dark was a bear-man with a great sense of humor and always knew what she wanted to get.

Carvine pulled her moth-eaten blinds and went to her kitchen to fix something to eat. She watched NightMarians of all kinds occasionally walk past her window. She caught sight of Kindryn the Dark, one of her favorite people. Leaning out the window Carvine called. "Kindryn!"

"Oi, hello there, Carvine, got your shopping done?" Kindryn asked coming to her window.

"No not yet. You got anything new for me? I'm coming in tomorrow" Carvine said. She went to her door and let him in.

"I got a few things for ya, lady. Come in tomorrow and you'll be sure to be happily surprised" He said with a smile.

Rath looked at Flea and shrugged lightly "I can't say for certain." Rath said briskly, he didn't really want to lie, he couldn't just say that everything will be okay because of the guards. Although even if everything will be alright, he was still on his guard to fight everynight. "Miss Flea, you do know if anything happens, I will have to throw myself in danger..." He then looked to his left and then to his right "If anything happens, please don't come after me." Flea was his friend, actually she was his only true friend, maybe even more, even though he didn't act like it, he still cared for her deeply.

Flea smiled faintly "i know, i am not trained like the guards afteral i would onky cause worry" for a moment she stopped stirring "however if you childeren are involved i wil pull them out even at my own safety's riks". She started stirring again and after a few minutes, she dived the soup between two bowls and placed on before rath before sitting in her own chair.

I know it didn't get that bad but I'm sure there's a lot more you can fit on one post and not have to keep going back and forth before any one else gets to post.

He looked to the others and threw his fist to the sky with Ricard. His eyes came down to Addie and he nodded at her request. " Females are the equals of males, and in my opinion maybe even superior. It was you who took the initiative to search him out, though I think he would have found us eventually. If not together then separate. "

" Then let's just keep our eyes open you guys. If we see anything we let the large eyed creature know. " With that he lead them all back into school where classes resumed for the day. Into the afternoon he made it through and after school he went straight home. He didn't see Adelina or Ricard after school and shrugged it off. Maybe he was caught in thought all day afterwards. It's not everyday a ghostly figure trusts your eyes.

He came home to his mom playing with his younger step brother. Just another normal day at home after school.

Midnight came about and all was quiet as the moon left the sky. The loosely torch lit streets of the ghostly and ghoulified world could only light the outlines of the beings who seemed to parade their way through the shadows. They went off to the light house, the light house then spun the midnight colors on the day of Halloween. Little did anyone know the figures where there to gather a prize.

They ascended the stairs, silent yet steady as they approached a glowing lantern, ye ol' in it's state and shining pumpkin orange as well as the fiery yellows of it's orange flame. Twas the Lantern of Hallow Luminescence, one of three sacred objects of power that would open Nightmaria to the human world.

They jolted out and slithered away, shadowing the lantern under their cloaks as best they could, a light that could nay be extinguished.

Day 2/10

The whole area was at alarm, early the next morning. The whole city was filled with tension. Those who would have went out stayed home that morning, all but a few. Time didn't seem to move as fast. It would be a long day today and everyone could feel it. Even Zophar, he had awoke when he felt the tension through the rift between worlds.

Addie thanked the two boys and thrusted her fist in the air as well with a hop and a grin. Though, she hardly knew these boys but if the were going to look out for each other they were going to need to become pretty close. She nodded when Seth told them of what to do then they departed ways and the rest of the school day wasn't so bad.

After doing homework and hanging out with Corbin and Matt, she was walked home by her two friends. Upon entering the house, she saw there were actual people inside the house. Addie thought this with sarcasm and kicked off her shoes. The living room was occupied by her father and a man she had never seen before in her life. That would explain the other car outside. Addie thought, then she noticed something in her father's hands: a bag that contained a white powdery substance which glittered under the fluorecent light. From afar it looked like sugar but Addie knew exactly what it was.

The sound of the shoes hitting the floor had caught her father's attention which caught the man's attention as well, causing them both to turn and look at her. Addie pulled her cap down so that it shadowed her faced and she walked quickly to the kitchen where her mother was standing at the stove, boiling the toxic grass that they sold. "You guys dealing crack now?" Addie said as if she didn't care when in truth, she really did. It was another crime her parents could have been charged for and another thing she'd be bothered about. Her mother turned and glared at her.

"I don't like your tone Adelina," said her mother before turning back to her stirring. The house was filled with the smell of sweet spice mixed with a earth sort of sent. Addie thought she was going to be sick.

"I was just asking," she replied to her mother nonchalantly and grabbed the macaroni in a can from the cuboard and stuck it in the microwave, eager to escape the smell as soon as possible.

"Well don't, it's none of your business anyway- and Adelina Antoinette dangit, how many times do I have to tell you to keep that slimey fish out of my kitchen?!" Her mother hollared slamming the spoon down the counter.

This is actually the first time you've told me. Addie wanted to say but held her tongue. The microwave beeping was like music to her ears and she walked quickly to it, took out her dinner, grabbed a spoon, took Bicko and hurried upstairs to her room.

When Addie finished up her dinner, she went to her window where she had set Bicko and stared out at the silver moon which had a heavenly and beautiful glow. Addie was ready for anything that came to her this Halloween even if it was death. She was not a masochist, nor did she want to die but she felt that it would be much more welcoming than this house that she was supposed to call home. Addie thought about the events that happened today really carefully and realized that she really didn't want to die at all. She wanted to get through this adventure and laughed about it later, whatever "it" was, with Seth and Ricard and maybe even Zophar. She pushed this thoughts to the back of her mind and went to sleep, exhausted.

Day 2/10

Addie awoke to a cold shiver running down her spine. She sat up quickly and looked around her room which was still dark. What was it? Not being able to go back to sleep, she dressed for school, hoping that she wasn't the only one who felt the odd chill or whatever it was.

Hijikata awoke the next morning feeling well rested. Hijikata made his way to work with nothing to show for his midnight recap. Nothing was found. Not a trace of anything. This wasn't right to him and he wouldn't allow that to happen. This person wouldn't go without judgement. Hijikata would make that happen. Now he only hallow's eve he could return to his form and have fun while protecting himself.

Rath nodded at Flea when she sat down "Thank you Miss Flea." He took a spoon and started to eat his soup slowly, of course it was already morning, but when does he ever sleep? Rath looked at Flea and then looked to the ground "Of course, if I know you by now..." He sipped on his soup again "You always worry." He said calmly and smoothly, he didn't like to put words in her mouth, but she usually does worry when he is out or is hurt..the one time was when Rath broke his arm because he fell off Vampire Bridge, it wasn't his fault the slime monster didn't move.

Ricard laughed happily, the rest of the day Ricard was a good guy, of course the teachers still gave him hell because of the bat he carried everywhere. Ricard couldn't help but laugh when the teachers told him it was considered a weapon. They were right, but he always said "Have I ever used it?" Finally when school let out, Ricard walked home and was greeted by his dog, Ripjaw. "Hey boy hows it going?" He asked scraching the dogs ears

Ricard walked to his bed room and got to his books, he started to do his math homework but he couldn't take his mind off of what happened today. "Man, I hope we don't die in the process." Ricard chuckled to hisself and continued to do his math, eventually Ricard got tired of doing homework, and fell asleep at his desk. The next day hopefully will be normal.

Day 2/10

The next day Ricard awoke suddenly to his dog licking him, "Mmm...Ripjaw down." He said getting up slowly "Mmm.." Ricard walked to his closet but then felt a strange chill down his back. He turned around but saw nothing. Ricard got dressed for school. "I can tell today might not be so normal." He said chuckling.

Caaw! A crow screeched in the daylight air before landing gracefully onto Yiska's open hand. Yiska looked sleepily at the crow from him falling asleep while the crow was away. "Well...? Anything new in Nightmaria tonight?" Yiska calmly spoke to the crow. The crow flapped his wings in screeched in his face, "...I see..." The seventeen year old boy squinted at the sun and sighed. "If only I could go back..."

Later when the sun had fallen and the wonderous beauty of a starry black cloak of night had layered the sky, Yiska slowly began to awaken from a deep yet unrelaxing (as usual) slumber. He silently opened his eyes and looked up at the sky. Yiska seemed to always be mezmerised by the sky. Always wondering what laid ahead for him... Would he always be running from Nightmaria? Would he always be miserable? Could Nightmaria ever except the truth of what happened in his past and allow him to return...or would he attempt to return without being excepted of his innocence?

"Ouh, that's okay Miss Lolita" Roxy smiled "Roxy has been alright, there has not been anything special or important for Roxy for some time, just the usual things..." She sat down upon Lolita's shoulder. "Sometimes.. sometimes Roxy gets lonely though.. dark fairies like Roxy are rarer and rarer with time.. and Roxy does not know many who are fond of her.." the small pink haired girl trailed off, but after a moment continued "Can't see why not though, Roxy is so cute ya know!" She winked dramatically, flickering her small black wings in some effort to further emphasize her cuteness. "Heeheehee it's so true" she said giggling.

"Ouh.. it's become later.. Roxy should be leaving you now, huh?" Roxy questioned, sounding somewhat like departing from the succubus was dissapointing her. The fairy flittered off of Lolita's shoulder "Well, maybe Roxy will see you soon then?"

Leorina reluctantly returned to the teacher's monotonous lecture on the human body and "its many wonders." Whatever had been out there before was gone, now. She did nothing to hide her disappointment by propping her elbows on the tabletop and cupping both her cheeks in her palms. She began to regret not going out immediately. A small sigh escaped her lips. Yeah, right, she thought as she tried to sensibly about it. The closest I'm going to get to other worldly would be a plain ice cream that warms you up in the cold. She stopped a moment before a dreamy look came over her. I wish...

At last school was done. She practically sprinted home as she made her way along the road. The reason for her rushing was the urgency to find a journal her mother had found and kept from their old home. She remembered when she was younger that she'd take the book from the shelf and -try to- read the tiny scrawl.

She burst through her door, stopping only a moment to return the greeting to the family servant, Porter. Leorina ran to the family room where she was sure she had last seen the journal. She began pulling books out in a frenzy; tossing them over her shoulder in her eagerness. At last, she found the book. In her ectasy, she left the mess behind herself and practically skipped to her room.

Leorina carefully flipped through the gold-leafed pages, looking for something that would tell her about the shivers and cold sweat. After a while, she forgot about the symptoms and was simply reading; that turned out to be more useful. She discovered her ancestors on her father's side had lived here in Autumnville...during the time of the Halloween killings! She read on, discovering that one of the relatives was almost part of the massacre. When they had felt their skin crawl and had random quickenings of the heart, they finally decided to move out of the "cursed place to somewhere their safety is assured."

She closed the book at last with a dark look. So that's how we ended up near the Rockies..., she thought. She glanced at her clock and gave a start when she realized the time and how much homework she had been given. "AGH, no way!"

Day 2/10
Leorina woke to a dreary coldness. She frowned until she shot up from her covers in a panic. Why was her body so freezing?! It felt even worse than yesterday. She clutched herself in an attempt to stop shaking. Why...?! Why do I react so badly to... She closed her eyes and breathed deeply. Why do I react so badly to whatever's out there?

Seth awoke to the jaggers of fidgeting about his body, his arms coming to his chest as he rolled over, his head starting to ache as he heard the sirens of a distance Nightmaria far beyond the realm of his dreams. He could no longer stand it, he felt as though he was half asleep, half awake. He jogged his mentality as his eyes opened wide, and the ceiling came into view, rigid like wild waters down a stream. But then he focused and took a deep breath, it all seemed to fade in the distance.. The distance within himself.

It would be his next school day, he could only think about what he felt that morning as he prepared himself and waved his mother goodbye. Maybe he should invite his new 'friends' over today. Mother never really minded any one he knew now that they were well of. With that in mind he went off to school, standing by the corner of the yellow hallway like usual ready for advanced trig to start at the ring of a bell.

The ripples from the screaming nightmare world seemed to channel through him, there was a disruption that midnight. Such a disruption that he laid himself in an open field near the parkways and shouted his lungs out. The time of Lucifer and his minions was drawing near, but he had no proof. All he knew was there was something over the top going on in his home world, the one the revered him so much before casting him away.

As the morning set in he made his way about town, his cloaked over trench coat covering everything that no one else needed to see. Though eventually he casted that away in a sense for his ability to become intangible as he scouted about. He realized there were teenagers and adults in the shadows of an old warehouse. He wasn't sure if that was normal in the human world, so he decided to peek along whever he could.

OOC: I think I'm going to make short profiles for Corbin and Matt but they aren't really anything but Addie's friends. They don't contribute to anything that has to do with Nightmaria.

Addie trotted down the steps to see that the house was, yet again, empty. She walked into the kitchen to grab a beagal and saw a DVD case on the counter with a note stuck to it. She walked over and non-chalantly read the note: "Deliver this before you come home today. -Dad". Addie rolled her eyes and sighed. She didn't even need to open the case to know what was inside. She knew all too well. Addie hated making deliveries for her parents on school days. She risked being caught, especially with Rheanna, always sniffing through her things.

Addie made her beagal, swiped the DVD, stuck it in a bag and walked out of her house, grabbing her skateboard and didn't both to lock the door. Corbin and Matt were already waiting for her. They never rang the doorbell since they were afraid her parents would still be sleeping even though she told them they weren't. She smiled at them, immediatly feeling at ease once again. These two were always here for her. She could always depend on them. She did hope that they would get along with Seth and Ricard though.

"Took you enough, princess," Corbin said, smirking. He recieved a full hard and friendly punch in the arm. "Ow! Geez woman!"

"Shut up Cor. Let's go," she said a she jumped on her skateboard. Yep, she truly enjoyed their company.

They parted ways when they reached the school and Addie went to her locker to throw the bag in when she saw Rheanna. Great.

"Well look at you- carrying your things in a platic bag. How cute," she said with a flip of her luxurious brown hair with spiraling bunches. "You know Adelina, there's a new invention- it's called the backpack. It's rather useful."

Addie right eye twitched involuntarily as she plastered a fake smile on her face. "How thoughtful of you to mention that. I've never heard of such a contraption." Addie said in a sickeningly sweet tone. "But I have heard of something called 'natural beauty'. I can see that you don't have it, and I'd share mine but you know how it is."

Rheanna's jaw dropped then snapped back up and she glared at Addie. "You can't really give away anything you never had yourself." Addie casually placed her hat in her locker as well as the bag. This was an every-other-day routine for her and Rheanna, since the both of them would probably kill each other if they saw each other everyday. It was merely battle of the wits even if some of the comments weren't so witty. The goal of the game was to reply to the other's insult the quickest, the loser gets laughed at and faded glory. Addie usually won of course.

Addie shut her locker and looked into the eyes of Rheanna. For some reason she could not fathom, she really didn't want to deal with this today. Usually she loved prancing on Miss Priss's pride. "Get out of my way Rheanna." The girl took this sign as a sign of victory and smirked.

"Running already I see. That was hardly a challenge," she said, putting her hands on her hip.

"I'm not running away now move before whatever assets you believe you have are torn off from the rest of you- I wouldn't mind ripping that mop off your head," Addie said in such an aggresive tone that it almost made Rheanna back off. Almost.

[Leorina]

"Leo, do you want a ride?" her mother called from downstairs. The smell of bacon wafted into her room through the slit underneath the door.

Leorina was just pulling a sweater over herself, mussing her silver hair into a wild frenzy, when her door creaked open. Her breath hitched as she whirled around--only to find it was her mother nosing her way through. "Leo, you alright?" When she smiled and nodded, her mother continued: "I just found out about a meeting I have with the boss later, Leo, so I won't be able to drive you to school and get back here in time to answer the phone when he calls. Can I trust you--"

"Yeah, mom. I'm old enough to walk myself," her daughter replied lightly. She smiled to show no offense was intended and began poking her earrings into her earlobes.

She arrived at school, shivering from both the nippiness in the autumn air and that weird tension that had been looming since...probably before she had even awoken.

Yiska slowly woke up from the empty classroom looking up at the ceiling, hearing the loud, bustling croud of students in the hallway. After a few moments, he got up and headed through the door to hear two girls battling with their wits.
