For me, it's Roy Mustang. He's cute and smart. Although Edward is smart, I'll go to Roy. I also like Roy because of his power which is fire. And being a Flame Alchemist was really cool and makes him be the best.

It really is a toughy. I think Ed is a better Alchemist, but Roy's gloves and control over fire makes him a better fighter. Ed is controlled by his emotions to much, and Roy is too sarcastic and arrogant.

Well, it's a tough comparison since Ed has a leg up on Roy, seeing as he touched the gate, which allows him to transmutate without a circle. So with that in mind, Ed is better in my opinion, but he wouldn't be if he hadn't have touched the gate, or if Mustang too had touched the gate. I dunno, I'm goin with Edward.:ninja:

Can't say any of them are hot...i'm straight...but I like Ed better....his alchemy has more variation and diversity...rather then just blowing **** up...he can create various weapons.....and such...though roy can blow things up in different ways (when he killed lust in the manga, he used the hydrogen from the water)...its kinda boring

I don't know if it's possible to compare like that. Roy Mustang had to go through a lot when he was posted at Ishbal. He was forced to do a lot of stuff he didn't want to, like kill winry's parents off and that sort of stuff.

But he's mature enough to handle himself (duh!) in difficult situations. His only downside is that he lets any sort of promotion get to his head.

Now Edward, on the other hand, is just BENT on:

>>getting his mom back; initially
>>getting Al's body back from the gate.

HE is entirely sure of himself but VERY hasty. That's Ed's downside.

So both have very different backgrounds and one can't just compare them both like that.
Anyway, I'll give my thumbs up to both.
