Wow... this anime Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora is just too sad! And i thought there wasnt anything sadder than Air, I cried a river!!! This anime is liek one big tragic story...like Ayashi no Ceres!!!

Honestly...I thought i wasnt gonna cry either, I was thinking how the ending was sad, but not sad enough...and then rite at the end when Kuu tells Kyoshiro to save her...BAM!!! TEARS!!!!! I COULDNT STOP CRYING !!! THANK YOU JPLAYA FOR SUCH A GREAT RECCOMENDATION!!! ZOMGZ!!!!

lol in response to Blackdeath...

Id say compared to Air both have emotionally tragic situations that are on the most part comparable...so for those of you who really liked Air and the emotion that it brought,
Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora will definetly deliver. Though Air had its moments throughout the series, with happy and sad, Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora is like Ayashi no Ceres with constant drama happening to the main character...making it sadder and sadder, then thers the grand finale witch is comparable if not better than Air's ending.

In My Opnion i thought the series started out very slow, and I thought of just ditching the series when I was 1/3 through, but Im glad I stuck it out...Its a beatifully sad anime that should move the soul xD

or to sum it all up...

when first watching Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora I was VERY skeptical on its possible outcome as a tragic anime, but as you progress, the story developes amazingly, building up to a climax that will have you crying your heart out for the main couple...Its beautifully sad ending is incredible T.T

Not much of a synopsis there but can't win them all, just researched it on google and seems like a promising series. But as for emotional tear jerking animes then try 'Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien', 'Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora', 'Saikano' or 'Iriya no Sora UFO no Natsu' as my high recommendations.

Maybe will post more when I finish watching the series.

Oh may I suggest Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal.
Perhaps not sadder than Air, but it's just as sad and it has a great story as well. Yes, it's about Himura Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin but you don't have to watch the series of 95 episodes to watch Samurai X as Samurai X is about Kenshin's past. Strongly recommended. xD

lol ya ive seen Samurai X! ^^

Samurai X, on an emotional level, met my top 20, compared to Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora, which made my top 5, and is in fact my #1 emotional anime.

However, I did see Samurai X long ago, back when I really hadn't developed a liking for these mushy emotional animes...I watched it for hte action...but I still remember being on the brink of tears after seeing it

Well from what I found it had mecha genre added in, now I am not sure how the drama can fit into that but lets hope and see. From every post of yours a read so far referring to it and the list of animes you watched I can say it's a safe bet I will like it/if not love it.

haha yay! I hope ya like it BlackDeath! To tell ya the truth, I did not see/find the Kyoshrio to Towa no Sora in the usuall places I look when Im looking for a new anime (forums/romancenews.net/anime-planet). It was reccommended to me by an awesome aquantance, Jplaya, who happened to previeously reccomend me another anime I loved (Zero no Tsukaima). And since I loved Zero no Tsukaima, I figured Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora would be a sure-fire winner! hehe

Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora...that was a fascinating series. I didn't think I'd like it at first but it really drew me in quickly. I didn't personally like the ending (I'm a happy ending person) but it was just so well executed!

I have my personal thoughts on most of the episode on my blog here, if anyone is curious (though they are very spoiler-ish).

Is there a manga of this? Because dammit if I try to download anime episodes on my computer, which currently only has 4.86 GB of space left, will laugh in my face, grow legs, kick me square in the balls, and run away.

Finally have the complete series and watched the first episode. I do love how the semi mecha battles are done, thought the fighting animation/sequence/scene was very good. Over story for first episode seemed a little average and nothing too great, but shall continue to watch the second episode tonight - gonna do an episode a night thing.

Second Episode I see the story developing a bit more, I like the way how it's all recorded as narated diary entries though not how Kuu says Dear Prince or was it My Dear Prince as the opening line. Shaping up to be a better anime.

EDIT: Much better now with the synopsis - good job. Try and do something like that as it helps the readers of the post who havn't seen it or don't know nothing about whatever you are trying to share.
