Persona: The Clockwork God

The year is 2025. And the time does not exist. For there is a hidden hour between one day and the next and in this hour lurk demons , an hour which the vast majority of humans are unaware. But there are those who have been given the power to enter this time and can tap into its power. But what will they use this power for? The destruction of man? Its salvation? At what cost? This remains to be seen, for the pages are just now turning in this forbidden book.
Pan Des Moines High School: A private high school set in the capital of Iowa. There were rumors at one point of occult practices occurring at the school about five years ago but these were stamped out. The school always seems to attract the darker parts of human nature and those rumors are perhaps merely a symptom of this tendency.
As a school though Pan Des Moines is well-known for having the strongest academic record in the mainland United States, having birthed the CEOs of several major companies, all of whom often make large donations to the school.
But there is one strange thing about the school. It cannot be entered during the Dark Hour. The entire grounds of the school are encased completely within a large dome.
Dark Hour: A secret hour tucked between one day in the next from 12:00 to 12:01. During this time most people exist in stasis within coffins, water turns to blood, complex mechanical and electrical devices do not function, and demons of all descriptions roam free. The demons use this time to crack into the coffins that encase the living and try to devour their spirits, leaving them soulless shells. However, there are a few who are given the ability to move during this time. These are the wielders of the gift/curse known as Persona.
Shadows: The entities which exist within the Dark Hour and feed off the souls of those trapped in stasis. It is the mission of the Sinners to eliminate these creatures and discover the mysteries surrounding their existence.
Persona: A persona is the personification of an individual’s spirit, hence the name. It draws power from the individuals will and grows along with its wielder. All power of the individual comes from the persona which must be summoned each time it is required with a gun-like device called an Evoker. The Evoker fires no bullets, but rather a spiritual force into the individual temporarily forcing the persona out of the individuals body and allowing it to take physical form for a brief period of time. This normally lasts a few seconds but it can go up to 10 seconds before the Persona’s physical form disintegrates and it returns to the wielder’s mind. This can be used repeatedly but each use drains the wielder’s physical and mental health. Over exertion with a Persona can cause fainting and illness, thus the wielder must also learn, to a varying extent, ways of defending his or herself without their persona. An individual will normally only ever have one Persona but certain persona specialists can have more, though they can only ever use on at any given time.
Persona’s draw power from the actions of their summoner. An action by the summoner which would be an inversion of their own spiritual code (which the persona represents) would cause that persona to weaken.
Seven Sinners: There are seven persona users, each attached to a particular deadly sin, who were given the greatest of powers. Ultimate Free Will. No one knows why fate deigned to give these Seven that greatest gift but given it has been. Each of these individuals have been drawn by fate before their release to Pan Des Moines High School and into a particular co-ed dorm, dorm 2-B. The Dark Hour came and they were each awoken by a knock at the door. A paper was slid under the door the door and a voice called, “You forgot to fill out the forms. Just some of the usual stuff.”
Each signed the contract which read: “I Choose this path of my own free will.”
The Sins and Persona of each are as follows
Pride: Lucifer
Envy: Leviathan
Wrath: Satan
Sloth(Indecisiveness): Belphegor
Avarice: Mammon
Gluttony: Beezlebub
Lust: Asmodai
Each of the wielders are from here out completely bound to the choices they make but free from all other influence. Will they use this as an opportunity for their past sins or will they choose to continue as they are? And what does the future hold?
Also, it should be noted that the Sinners have just awakened to the power of Persona
Varieties of Persona Users:
Combat Specialists: These individuals focus on their power outside of their Persona. They tend to be skilled with weapons and completely capable of handling themselves without the aid of there persona during most small scrimmages. However, their Personas are correspondingly weaker.
Balanced: These Personas mix both combat abilities with their Persona. Their individual Persona Is strong and well developed and the user himself can still defend himself.
Persona-Specialist: These Individuals are able to wield multiple Persona and can switch between them in the middle of battle. However, developing each of these Personas prevents the wielder from becoming skilled with weapons.
Shadow-wielder (Louis Only): This individual has been infected by a Shadow, one of the demonic spirits that lurks within the dark hour. However, unlike other victims he seems to still have the ability to function as a normal human being and has retained his sanity. Not only that but he can let the Shadow/Persona take over his body for short periods of time. This functions almost exactly as summoning a Persona the only difference being rather than creating a physically separate body Louis sacrifices control of his own. However, he cannot fully control the shadow and it constantly attempts to break free of his will.
Notes for creating characters:
1) 1. If your making a sinner try to make their sin an integral part of their story and do so in a creative manner. I realize that for some sins this will be difficult such as Gluttony though this could be interpreted as Cannibalism or such like.
2) The sinners are by nature bad people. Though may have certain heroic attributes they are by no means heroic.
3) Sinners are indeed locked into a persona but only nominally, you can do whatever you want with that persona.
4) If you make a Persona-specialized Sinner, while they must have the required Persona they can have another of your own design.
5) The RP starts just after they each sign the contract, in case anyone needs that piece of information.

Personality: V is a loner, not because she takes on the appearance of an outcast, but rather because she is unable to keep friends due to her stuck up attitude and temperamental behavior. Anyone she finds superior to her in any way immediately becomes an enemy. Though often silent and cold she is known to erupt into fits of rage when confronted with inferiority to another. (i.e., someone getting more attention than herself, looking better then herself, or doing better at something then herself.)
V is obsessive when it comes to latest fashion styles, being thin, being good at sports, or flaunting her wealth and feels it necessary to prove that she is more deserving of these things then others at all times. Sadistic in a sense, she delights in causing misery to others by making them to fall from grace and making them look bad by tarnishing their reputation or taking away their coveted items/abilities. She is constantly asking herself "What do they have that I don't?"
Bio: V both loves herself and hates herself at the same time. Although she believes that she should be labeled as superior to others, she constantly deems herself as inferior in comparison no matter the achievements and possessions she already has. This is in part due to the way she was raised as a child. Her father was a wealthy stock broker, her mother was a trophy wife, and her older brother was their golden child. Next to her brother she was deemed a nuisance, constantly put down while her brother was put on a pedestal. Abused mentally and physically, an inferiority complex soon nested itself in her young mind, along with a hate toward anyone who was better than she. She was constantly in trouble at school, picking fights with other girls, boys and even the staff.
Less than a year ago, she concocted a scheme that would cause her brother to lose everything he and her parents had worked so hard for him to attain. She got him kicked out of school; he lost his scholarships and was put in juvenile detention for the next three years. Though there was never any proof she had done a thing, her parents suspected it nonetheless and, not wanting her anywhere near them, sent her off to Pan Des Moines High, where she now resides.

Personality: Lilith is known as the school flirt. She tends to use her looks to get what she wants, and tends to be stuck-up at times. Shes also been known to flirt with the male teachers in order to get passing grades. However, when Lilith is around Louis, her attention focuses solely on him and trying to please him.
Bio: Lilith was born from a burlesque dancer and an unknown father. She was raised there for some time by several of the dancers and her mother, thus her vast knowledge in seduction. She was raised to see men as nothing more than a money source [and the occasional ‘pleasure toy’] and nothing more. When her mother died from gaining AIDS [though its unknown whether it was from sex or drugs], Lilith was sent to Pan Des Moines High by the burlesque house owner. Once Lilith graduates, she is expected to return there and become a dancer herself.

Personality: At first he it is difficult to determine what his personality is because he wears a face that can only be called “Ambiguous” . However, he has been shown to possess a amount of intelligence and knowledge that would put him well past the level of high school, though he stipulates that he forgot many things in addition to his memories. He tends to keep to himself and despises people who ask for help and people who offer to give it, for in his mind those who cannot survive on their own are unworthy of life.
Bio: He does not remember much about his past. He woke up in a hospital from a coma not long before he transferred to Pan Des Moines High with no memories of the past. This coma was brought on by being possessed by a Shadow, though how he recovered from it remains a mystery. However, the Shadow, Lucifer, still remains inside Louis’ body and often attempts to rest control from him. His parents were dead but he had relatives with wealth and he was sent to Pan Des Moines. The last Sinner to arrive, he was put in dorm 2-B the night that the contracts were signed.
The Sin he committed to be among the sinners is unknown at this time.

She preached that mankind was given the duty to sustain the power of asa (akin to life force and free will though this is heavily nuanced and impossible to directly translate into English). While mortal, Zarathustra obtained divinity and thus can act as her own persona.
Sarah was borne the daughter of a Paranormal Researcher who first discovered the existence of Shadows and ascertained their purpose. She tends to hide what she knows and reveals it only when she deems it necessary to the survival of the group. Without guilt, she plays off the ignorance of others. She seems to know Louis from the past but what this relation Louis is unaware and she is unwilling to say.
Bio: Sarah Thuster is the reincarnation of Zarathustra a wise woman and founder of the religion of Zoroastrianism. She preached that mankind was given the duty to sustain the power of asa (akin to life force and free will though this is heavily nuanced and impossible to directly translate into English). While mortal, Zarathustra obtained divinity and thus can act as her own persona.
Sarah was borne the daughter of a Paranormal Researcher who first discovered the existence of Shadows and ascertained their purpose. However, he died five years ago though she continues on his legacy. She acts now as the leader of the Sinners and informs them of their reason for existence and purpose.
