If you mean revamped like for a newer console, then I would say Super Mario World...the greatest retro game EVER!
If you mean totally re-done, then I would say...Mega Man 3.

Wait...Mega Man 3...

3?

Mega Man 2 is by far the superior Mega Man. It deserves a remake as well as Super Metroid and Donkey Kong Country.

Donkey Kong Country.

I sure do miss those games, I'd totally be up for a (good) remake.

Along with streets of rage.

Tetris, for sure.

Donkey Kong Country.

I don't want to see any good retro game remade, that would spoil them. I want to keep my old Commander Keen and Monkey Island games right where they are, on my old 486 running DOS.

Custer's Revenge. You know you want to see that game in 3D.

Also, ET: The Extraterrestrial. Because the world doesn't have enough games that are based around climbing out of giant, inexplicable holes while running from the MIB and looking for phone parts.

Dude, you're joking. Right?

Custer's Revenge, maybe. Very SLIGHTLY maybe. But ET? No. Just, NO.

Since everyone else said what I would say, I'm now down to just two. Ocarina of Time (if it's considered retro now) and Final Fantasy Tactics. (To me honestly, I thought the FFT Advanced was horrible. They added too many rules making it complicated.)

If it was any good... maybe Void the Noid (Dos). I could also play a remake of Secret of Mana. Thought it would have to be killer to live up to the hype.

Was there ever a remake of M.U.L.E?

Secret of Mana... Also done. In fact, the remake is one of the best games on the SNES. It makes SoM look like sucksville. You'll either have to speak Japanese, or track down the fan-translated ROM though.

Was there ever a remake of M.U.L.E?Nothing direct, but many people have taken the ideas and expanded on them.

Subtrade: Return to Irata is supposed to be one of the better ones. I dunno. I never managed to get into M.U.L.E. It was made in 93' and obscure, so you'd probably have to find it on an abandonware site.

Ah, I had forgotten about that, thank you very much Manhattan.

Now that I remember another set of games, I think if they just do some touches on it, Megaman Legends 1 and 2 would be another fun game to play if it's remade.

Ah! I finally thought of one: The world needs more X-Com (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X-Com) games. The aliens need to be taught a lesson, and no one can do it better then a small internationally funded think-tank/paramilitary force. Yay small unit tactics!

On the plus side, 2K Games got the license and may make one.

I fully agree with this. I was watching a game similar to the original being made, Project (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Xenocide) Xenocide (http://www.projectxenocide.com/) I believe it was. Stopped when my bookmark list was wiped when I reformatted my OS drive and forgot to make a backup of said list, and started again when you just mentioned UFO: Enemy Unknown.

I would like to add Turrican 1 - 3 to this as well. I find it's a series I can constantly go back to and not get bored of after playing through one of them for the nth time in a day.

*EDIT* Also, a remake of The Clue!, mainly because I don't find the sequel, The Sting, as good as the original.

Actually, I played both of them, and I thought that the second (3rd) one was bad in comparison. Well made, but the story didn't match up to Secret of Mana's.

SUPER MARIO WORLD!

Greatest game ever.

Close behind is Sonic 2

Too late.

Nintendo apparently isn't bringing it over.

It does mention something about a Mother Compellation for DS, but it's vague.

Ok. First let me get this outta the way:

Final Fantasy Adventure(GB) = Seiken Densetsu
Secret of Mana (SNES) = Seiken Densetsu II
Then, Seiken Densetsu III

III isn't a remake, it's just the third installment.

But I think they did just make a remake of Secret of Mana, the new one for the PS2.

I know. I've been throwing sequels out there too, because they are usually a "remake" of the mechanics, if not the story.

Also, the new Mana game is an original story, and Gamerankings.com gives it an average score of 58% from 33 reviews, so I'd say don't bother.

Roughly every main-series Mario games since the N64 has been redone [failing that, ported] and most of the Genesis Sonic games have been ported. And why would anyone want to play any of the post-Genesis ones?

I want something like TTA for SMD in 3d... But I don't think Konami will make the new TTA game.

After five minutes on Wikipedia, I decided that you probably meant Tiny Toon Adventures. In which case, it probably isn't going to happen.

Zombies! Ate my neighbours, of course. One of the best games EVER.
Also I'd like too see Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel and Rival Schools remade as well...
