I would say Goku cuz he has a Much nicer personallity and Stronger to no ofence to vegeta. But I do love them both I love it when together cuz the act like they're brothers! LOL :D

I prefer Goku by a great margin. True, he's the hero of the series and all, but that isn't why. I like Goku because he stayed more or less true to who he is the whole time.

Vegeta is awesome and all as a fighter, but things outside of the cannon of the shows turned me off of him. Mainly the occasional DBZ/Sailor moon crossover fan fic.

The idea in and of itself is hard to work, but could be interesting... the idea of vegeta leaving bulma and Serena/usagi ditching mamoru so her and vegeta can hook up is just plain nauseating though.

It's one of the few fan related concepts that I just can't stand to read. Vegeta might have changed a bit later on, but dude did run around exploding planets and killing off all life on them simply to get stronger.

He hurt billions of people, and ended entire civilizations. Even if Sailor moon is like uber forgiving, it still makes me sick to see the idea.

A far more likely and workable crossover fan fic would have starred vegeta as a villain. He wouldn't need minions or anything, and even with the scout powers at the end of the series, vegeta's over all power level at the beginning of DBZ would make him at least as strong as galaxia, and far less beatable in the 'can't we all just love each other way.'

'For those of you who assume that just because they're DBZ characters they obviously would kick the crap out of any other character in another seres.. I point out that hotaru/sailor saturn can destroy and rebirth an entire planet. This would in my mind actually make that one attack of hers more powerful than Vegeta's planet destroying one in the beginning of DBZ.

It'd be a good match up..

Though if you tried it later in the DBZ, he'd pretty much own anyone who tried to fight back short of Goku, much less anyone from another series.


My apologies..for getting off track.. but still.. Goku over Vegeta.. especially when you begin discussing intelligence..

Vegeta might seem smarter, because he's better educated tha Goku, but who was it that let cell reach his like really strong form thingy... because he wanted a challenge (I forget the particulars of the cell saga, but I thought I recalled vegeta wanting a good fight.)

Vegeta has attitude, and it makes him seem smarter on paper. Reality shows that he's just as dense as Goku though... Saiyans.. the big dumb jocks of the universe. hehe

I personally find enjoyment out of watching Vegeta, I truelly think that Vegeta has the power to defeat Kakarot (Goku) but he hasnt unleashed his full potential quite yet, especially when i have seen vegetea turn into "Super Vegeta" after ascending past Super Saiyan.

I would have to pick Goku. During the whole series, he was calm during all the fight scenes. When he fought Jeice and Burter in the second season, he didn't even move when they were taunting him with their speed. What resolve!:D Vegeta seems to always want to take the very, very, very violent way of doing things. That's just my opinion.

Vegeta for me.. Ok so Goku is a little stronger and he's nicer, so on and yadda yadda... He's also a cheeter if you think about it, at least with Vegeta you'd expect it. Unlike Vegeta who has no mercy at all on all his opponents and has full of pride which also cause his downfall on some scenarios like in the Buu Saga. But in that part of the anime we also saw the goodness of vegeta...

In terms of the workings of the World, yes Vegeta is much smarter. But in battle, Goku is a genius.

People don't like Goku for "no reason". There are always reasons. Let's look at the pro's and con's of each character.

Vegeta:

Pro's- He's powerful, smart for the most part, and his attitude can be funny sometimes.

Con's- He's arrogant, occasionally does make stupid decisions in battle, and has killed innocent people.

Goku:

Pro's- He's powerful, he's a genius in battle for the most part, he's nice, he's caring, he's funny, and he's fair.

Con's- He's soft which causes problems sometimes, and he lacks common sense in terms of the workings of the real World.

To me, Goku's pro's out weigh Vegeta's pro's, yet Vegeta's con's out weighs Goku's con's.
