Well that's kind of tough considering I like both characters a lot. I think that cloud is smarter not to mention a lot better looking, but Inuyasha has a lot more power at his disposal. I'd like to think that Cloud would win though.

Oh, but think about it now. Sure Inu has the Wind Scar and Backlash wave, but on the basis of how agile they both are they are a near tie. You've seen Cloud bound between buildings have you not? And still fully function in a mid air fight. (With the Replication of Sephiroth no less)

Seeing as though Clouds most powerful attacks aren't 'only energy based', Backlash wave is booted out the door. When Cloud sees how agile Inu is, a blade beam wouldn't be his first choice. And as it was already established he is intelligent enough to infer it. If you've ever seen Clouds Omnislash in FF7, you'd see he basically blinks behind or beside his enemies extremely fast, delivering fifteen or sixteen blows within about 5-10 seconds. I have never seen Inu move from one target to another with such speed and there he is greatly outmatched.

Shall we add the possibility that Cloud has Materia on his side? Ice, in he game converges upon the foe, it's not like a blast that Inu could Windscar or backlash. So he could freeze him for a few seconds then zip in for the strike.

Measuring them without Magic or special attacks, when it's sword on sword and body versus body, I still say Cloud would be the victor. Especially with the First Tsurugi combination and the Mako that gives him his fantastical abilities.

So my vote on this wrongly placed discussion would be Cloud.

Really depends on what materia Cloud has on him, as there is a very little number of beings who can withstand, say, 13 knights bash the sh*t out of them.
