(( SPOILERS ))
I've been wondering about this for a good while.
With the assistance of the Vaizards, Ichigo Kurosaki has supposedly conquered his inner hollow and finally learned to harness his destructive spiritual power. The question: Is Hollow Ichi permanetly defeated?
I found myself doubting this. I imagine that as the series progresses on, Ichigo will face another encounter with his hollow, say following a loss that shatters his revolve AGAIN. This could occur after the Hueco Mondo Arc, when he possibly fails to rescue Orihime. Who knows?
I just don't believe Hollow Ichigo is gone, not yet. What's your opinion??

Hollow ichigo is far from gone he is being surpressed by Zangetsu. As i Believe. Zangetsu is the reason why hollow ichigo came into life. by releasing him to fight ichigo he set in the motion of Ichigo's dark side. That is why Hollow Ichigo was born. he is the darker version of ichigo spirit energy. he can control and store Spirit energy better then ichigo can. With ichigo learning to control it it is very dumb. It may help but if the mask stays on to look then the hollow will be released. I also saw this picture of hollow ichigo at 75% power. he had a tail that covered Ichigo hair. ichigo's hair was long in a ponytail and ichigo's hands and arms were covered in holow skin. Also the hollow mask covered almost every inch of ichigo's face.

Arg, Captain. There be spoilers ahead!
He is not defeated. By Ichigo and "Hollow Ichigo" have resided within a single body, obviously, since "Hollow Ichigo's" creation.
Ichigo originally had control over "the Horse", as he referred to himself. The first time "the Horse" tried to take control was when Ichigo was losing his fight against Zaraki Kenpachi and Zangetsu was broken. The two fought it out briefly in Ichigo's mental realm, fighting for control of Zangetsu. Ichigo won, and maintained his control.
As "the Horse" continued to grow stronger, he was able to take control of Ichigo during his times of weakness, such as during his fight with Byakuya. "the Horse" was able to gain control until Ichigo was able to suppress him. From this point on, Ichigo was fearful that "the Horse" would take control, as "the Horse" was becoming stronger and stronger. This fear of "the Horse" also made it easier for "the Horse" to take control of him, as seen when the black stuff would begin to appear in Ichigo's eyes.
In fear, Ichigo went to Vaizards to train to control "the Horse", at which point he had to fight "the Horse" once again in his mental realm. But this time, "the Horse" told Ichigo: "I am Zangetsu", when Zangetsu didn't appear to be there. The two fought, but "the Horse" had the advantage, saying that Ichigo didn't fight with his "Instinct", which Ichigo then used to defeat "the Horse". As he faded, "the Horse" stated that he would let Ichigo use his power, but he was able to take over any time Ichigo was weak (both physically and mentally). After this, Ichigo is able to maintain his Vaizard form for only 12 seconds, but this limit appears to have been broken, as seen with his duration during his current fight with Grimmjow.
Also, in contrast to what Hollow Ichigo stated above, I believe that "the Horse" was created when Ichigo escaped from Urahara's pit at the very last moment, thus created a Hollow and Shinigami within him(the Hollow being represented by "the Horse", and the Shinigami being represented by Zangetsu). Because of this, Ichigo then appeared in Shinigami garb with a Hollow mask, which was well before Zangetsu called forth "the Horse" to fight with Ichigo, such as Hollow Ichigo stated.
Also to be mentioned, is that the "75% power" Hollow Ichigo, which Hollow Ichigo mentions is just the form Ichigo's body took while Ichigo and "the Horse" fought in Ichigo's mental realm during his training with the Vaizards. That is what Ichigo will look like if/when he becomes a complete Hollow. It is in no way a symbol of "the Horse's" strength. It should also be noted that it was not "75% power" so much as "75%" transformed into a Hollow, meaning Ichigo had 15 minutes left to fight "the Horse".

When I say 'defeated', I mean suppressed. The real question I'm asking, is suppressed for how long? In the latest manga release, during the battle between Ichigo and Grimmjow in his resurrected state, it seemed to be as though Ichigo was gradually undergoing a change. When Grimmjow stated that Ichigo seemed to be more experienced in controlling his Vaizard mask, referring to his ability to wear it over the 11 second limit, Ichi returned saying "I won't take this mask off, because I'm HAVING SO MUCH FUN!!!"
That didn't seem to me like something he would usually say. In addition to that, what really hint 'transformation', was his eyes. When making eye-contact with Orihime, they held the malevolence I'd seen only in that of Hollow Ichigo's. Could it be he is gradually being consumed by the very power he harnessed from his suppressed Hollow? Or is it that the longer the Mask is worn, the more his Hollow is pulled to the surface and out of dormancy?
Maybe I'm just looking too far into it, but that's the thoughts that are playing in my mind.

I believe it won't be long. Hollow Ichigo is definitely stronger than Ichigo, no matter how Ichigo trains.
(evilness will always be stronger, lol)
sorry for my short words as compared to all of yours!

Well, I'm sure that when he uses his Vaizard powers, he also gets a bit of "the Horse's" more aggressive personality.
But, as I said, "the Horse" is only supressed until Ichigo is in a state of weakness and is able to take over, or if Ichigo wants him to take over, for whatever reason that may be.

>.O;; Head for the hills! Manga spoilers are on their way!
Honestly, I was expecting "the Horse" to surface once more when Ichigo was unfortunately crushed by Ulqourria. Towards the end of the manga, when that darkness began to descend, Hollow Ichigo's return seemed highly possible. For as you said, "the Horse" is only suppressed until Ichigo is in a weakened state, therfore enabling him to seize control. Apparently, that didn't occur.
I suppose this is just simply something we'll have to sit back and patiently wait for. He'll return, it's just a matter of time.

Spoilers...bla,bla,bla.
I finally got around to reading 282, and, I'm not sure what group you get it from, but the translation I read made it very apparent that Ichigo doesn't want to remove his mask. Grimmjow said that if he broke the mask the fight would get boring (as in he believe Ichigo would revert back to normal), but Ichigo just laughed and said that that was his line, because if the mask were removed, things would get boring (which I'm led to assume means that "the Horse" will take over, making the fight boring for Ichigo).
So, this differs from what happened when he fought Byakuya, in which he was able to suppress the Hollow and tear the mask off, but if he is in that state and the mask is broken, it seems that "the Horse" will take control. That's now another possibility of how he could take control from Ichigo.

Spoiler ahead i believe............Yeah lets go with that.
I see "The horse",Crazy name i like hollow ichigo, As something like a failsafe device for Ichigo. If he fails to defeat someone and come close to death. Hollow comes. I Believe in Ep i think it was 114 when the Arracers first came. That if yami would have hit Ichigo with that last punch Hollow would have arose. but Urahara came. Also Benihime is very strong. I beilieve if urahara used bankai he could go toe to toe with Aizen because for Aizens soul slayer to work you must see its release.

Spoilers.....-sigh-
<< Anyway, I read the manga from BleachExile, and if I recall correctly, Grimmjow attempted to break the mask. Ichigo stopped him, saying that shattering it wasn't something he wanted because the fight would get boring from there on in. Then the whole, 'I'm having so much fun I'm not not going to take this mask off", thing followed. That is an interesting theory you have there, however. Where do you recieve your manga from?
