Strongest Captains

Who do you think is the strongest captain. Yamamoto not counted.

I'm not really sure who Yamamoto is... but Kenpachi Zaraki (sp) seems like the strongest to me, or at least the strongest fighter. Byakuya Kuchiki is a close second though.

Yamamoto is the commander of all the 13 court squads and of Soul society. He is the founding member of Soul Society and the oldest and strongest Captain of them all. He has kill over 57 Vasto lorde's (the stroest of all hollows it was said that if Aizen was to attack Soul society with about 10 of them Soul soceity would fall in a matter of hours. even kenpachi Zaraki would die. It would take all his power to defeat two of them.) Anyway i see Aizen as one of the best along with gin,Byakuya Kyoraku,and Jushiro.

Id say Buyakuya or Hitsugaya. Kenpachi has the ultimate endurance but when it comes to wining a fight, im not sure he has enough power to defeat Buyakuya or Hitsugaya. Oh and btw i don't count Aizen as a captain.

Hitsugaya is strong but almost all the captains could beat him. The only reason he can be beat so esliy is because he is young. The others have had over 300 yhears to train with their bankai's. Like one of the bounts said. "Your Bankai is imcompelte due to your young age." Yeah i think that way be ture. Ukitake and Kyoraku are some of the strongest. They were tained under Yamamoto. Kyoraku is faster then Byakuya. As Yamamoto said himself."You only used one step to get from here back to soul soceity. It would take others three or four." So yeah they are strong.

Are you talking about Zaraki Kenpachi? I don't think Byakuya could even touch Kenpachi with the reiatsu the guy has. He'd be a good match for Ukitake or Aizen.

You were refering to HItsugaya Toushiro, right?

Sure, he(Hitsugaya) is talented, becoming a captain at a young age but like the quote above says,(assuming that it is referring to Hitsugaya) he was easily taken down by Aizen. Another thing, Hitsugaya did admit that he wasn't able to defeat a guilian class arrancar (arrancar #11-Shaolong Qufang:the one who remarked him about not completely mastering his bankai due to his youth)without using his full powers. So his strength is still under development.

Zaraki couldnt beat Byakuya. He is strong. Byakuya is to fast and he could do some damage. Zaraki could get to him but he couldnt cut throught byakuya's petal shield. Zaraki would be killed but Aizen. It would take a while but still he would lose. Alzo it was stated that Aizen has reached the maxium level of all combat styles: Flash steps,Hand to hand,Kido,Swordman skills,battle techinidues,Shikai,Bankai. The reason he left Soul society is became he said himself that the only fighitng styles he doesnt know is hollow. if he know that then he is unstoppable. That also means he rivils in power with yamamoto.

Zaraki couldnt beat Byakuya. He is strong. Byakuya is to fast and he could do some damage. Zaraki could get to him but he couldnt cut throught byakuya's petal shield. Zaraki would be killed but Aizen. It would take a while but still he would lose.
The thing about the petals is that while they are fast and overwhelming, but each petal isn't that strong individually. Ichigo was able to knock them all away by swinging his sword around. Kenpachi's reiatsu most likely would have knocked them away too.

Kenpachi's main attribute is that he is extremely powerfull and has enough brute force to overcome tactical disadvantage. He had to beat the former captain of the 11th division to get where he got. If you don't acknowledge his strength than he is about as weak as any other shinigami.

I would say Kenpachi of course, he has such a love for fighting and always looking for a challenge, with that he can pretty much take down any captain. Imagine if he had a zanpaktou and goes Ban-kai... that would be insane.

Aizen didnt state that he has mastered all of the shinigami abilities, he just stated the kinds of abilities a shimigami may posses(sword skills, flash steps, bare handed techniques, demon magic) and all of them has a maximum power limit. He wanted the hogyoku because it may erase the power limits of each ability by merging it with hollow powers. (he wanted the hogyoku's power "to reach new heights")

I never said Azien siad that. I said it was stated.... Aizen is the strongest Captain. now that he is gone. Its Kenpachi and Yamamoto. Kyoraku and Jushiro could go toe to toe with Kenpachi.
