I'd like to first appologize if this is in the correct forum and I ask politely to any moderators reading this to please move it to the appropriate forum. I'm thinking of making a PG-13 high school love story. I'm not going to spoil what Fandom it is. I hate giving off the element of surprise. I however do ask if anyone has read any good teen dramas either that end (like my personal fav) like a Greek Tragedy (HORRAH FOR THE GREEKS!) or if they had sappy endings.

I'm TOO use to writing "adult situation" stories or high action/violence stories. I'm trying to change my focus of fandom writing abilities. At this point in time I do plan to goto college for english and writing but I lack my Montgomery GI Bill.

So can anyone suggest any good ones? I'd prefer NOT to read an epic story (125,000+ words with 11 different story arcs atleat 40 chapters) no Novels (90,000 - 125,000 words with 9 different arcs with atleast 20 chapters) or any Novellas (60,000 - 89,000 words, 8 arcs, and 10 chapters). Just some simple Novelettes (20,000 - 59,000 words, 5 arcs, and atleast 10 chapters) or short Stories (5,000-19,000 words, 3 arcs and atleast 5 chapters) Anyone able to suggest any?

So you're going to write a story, and you're looking for other stories to read to get a basis for? I'm a little confused.

You had it right on the nose. You got the bullseye dead center. I'm too much into balls(Spheres but this ryhmes)-to-walls action, people getting bad things happen to them (I.E. Zombies) or just inappropriate to mention. I read other stuff to expand my "skills" if you want to call it that.

I can only suggest Fanfiction.net, as that's the only fanfiction site I frequent that has worthy fanfiction. It also has it's share of crap though...

There's not much of that in the ways of this forum however.

I dunno, maybe you'd want to read something of mine. I do currently have the longest running fic in the place. Put aside your stupid biased attitude and you might find that I have some talent.

I honestly think that the fanfiction section is gradually improving. There are some better writers that are starting to come more frequently, writing things that seem interesting to read.

It's a work in progress, though.

That it is. now that it's not flooded with poems.

Don't know of one off the top of my head, but check this place out: http://www.eastoftheweb.com/short-stories/ I personally hate sifting through the good, the bad, and the ugly at fanfiction.net. This place has only the cream of the crop from professional and amateur writers. And lots of short stories ^_~

I'll check that out very shorty Fabala. I've begun construction of an Original already. I MIGHT have the first chapter up before I move around 15th.

Actually, if you want to get good stories at www.fanfiction.net (http://www.fanfiction.net), you can just go to their communities and read. Usually the moderators will make sure the stories there are kinda good. Or maybe you can attempt www.livejournal.com (http://www.livejournal.com), but you have to find which community you're interested in. If I'm not mistaken, there was a website where you can randomly click for clues for your story if you have writer's block. That is quite fun!
