Hey everyone!! I was just wondering :p because a lot of members on TV.com forum think Asuka is. So who so you think is the nicest character in Evangelion?

To me, I think it's Asuka. She is a very friendly person. Though on the outside, she can be very tence, proud and mean.

Asuka? Nice? In terms of personality my vote is drawn between Hikari Horaki and Maya Ibuki. Both of them have very nice, and gentle personalities. While they may not be the most appealing, who can say anything bad about Maya?

I vote for Shinji Ikari, though he does get angry sometimes and almost killed Asuka by choking her, but he did it cause he was fed up with her.

Asuka? seriously? shes not nice, shes vicious! id say the nicest person is misato, shes had one of the most traumatic things yet shes got time to help everyone else, misato kicks ***!

I agree, and I'll add to that list Makoto Hyuga and Shigeru Aoba. Everybody else are a bunch of hypocrites (:p but I love them anyway)

The nicest character I'd say would be Ikari. His personell is spirited and wavery. His relationship with the others is a gentle flowing one, due to his actions and the choices that he makes.

Shinji is a coward, so he doesn't count.

Rei's a bot, she's programmed to be that way.

I'ma go with Misato. ^_^

I think the second Rei was the nicest.

If you don't know what I mean about the second one, PM me or something. XD [wikipedia is good too]

She cared at least enough to get Shinji to kiss her. =p And she -did- slip over to him that night, didn't she? [ Haven't watched the show in so long, so I'm unsure about this. ]

Shinji's basically the only one you could call "human" of the three main characters in the anime. Even if he was a coward, he did have a heart of gold. He did care about others, did he not? Like when he first saw Rei hurt for the first time, and she was supposed to pilot Unit-01.

Rei's a bot, she's programmed to be that way.
Incorrect. Rei was a clone. Not a bot. She was not programmed to do anything in specific. She only did as she was told to, though.

At any rate.. Ibuki Maya (http://animenfo.com/animecharacter,504,snsrex,ibuki_maya.html) seemed like a rather nice person to me.

I think all of the first Liutenants are nice, ecspecially Maya Ibuki, because she opposes violence and is never judgemental... Also Hikari Horaki (even though her feelings are a little misrepresented at first in front of Toji).

Yui Ikari is also a very caring and kind individual. And so is Rei... although she keeps her feelings to herself. I guess that can be good and bad at times.
