Ok I have watched the entire Z series and have seen five or so episodes of GT, and am now starting on the original Dragonball. Just a few things I noticed, mainly around power levels.
In the Dragonball series, when Goku is fighting Jackie Chun (a disguised Master Roshi) Goku transforms into his ape form. To bring him back down to size, Jackie's only option is to destroy the moon with a super-duper kame hame ha wave, which works and the moon is gone with Goku transformed to his original form.
Fast forward to the Z series where Picollo is training Gohan to prepare for Vegeta's arrival. At some point Gohan also transforms into an ape thanks to the full moon, and is again destryoed by Picollo.
Right, two things: first of all I guess the moon could have been replaced thanks to the Dragonballs?
Second is about power levels. When Goku was fighting Frieza on Namek, it took quite a sizeable chunk of energy from Frieza in his final form to create an energy ball that would destroy the planet (which took an extra 5 minutes afterwards).
So, how was it that Picollo was able to destroy the moon with such ease. Master Roshi did power up a huge amount but I still don't think it would have been up to Picollo's level either, and when Frieza created his attack, not only did it take a little time but it was fairly big.
Well is there an explanation or was this just overlooked?
