I've been keeping a sort of check list in my journal, and I decided to start posting this after Ive completed each step, so I can get feedback along that way. This way, I wont be so far into it, that if somethind wrong, I have to redo a huge chunk of the wall.

I found the image here on AG, but it was tiny...and I really love the pic too. I decided to blow it up to 1024x786 and vector it. So far all I have is some line work. For more info on what I plan to do, wiz by my journal.

Its not done...I even posted that it wasnt done. I just want to post it step by step, so if someone spots a porblem, I can fix it early on in the walling process, instead of after its done

Sorry for the double post! But, I think Im finished.
One color, one monochromatic (to have an old, japanese calligraphy feel to it)

Steps towards completing the wall:
-outlines
-highlights
-base colors
-sky
-clouds
-buildings
-textures

Im toying with the idea of adding Kanji text...

It seems a bit small...I dunno why....but it looks great Nic Nic. I wish I could do that with photoshop. =3 *takes a nap now*

1024x768 resolution...which does seem kinda small compared to the bigger screens out now. This'll probably be the last 1024x768 size I do...

Im glad Im getting good remarks...the wall ended up consuming me. I started having dreams about outlining and vectoring stuff o_O
What I plan to do now:
-Do another version of the monochromatic one with "crystal tokyo" in kanji
-Update it on MID
-submit it to AG
-submit it to AP

Just out of curiousity, which version does everyone like better?

The color one... from now on you can do all my vectoring. I suck at vectors.

Both walls are nice. It's vectored so it's even nicer (I'm a vector lover).
But if you're submitting in AP, for me it's the no-colour wall that has brownish-yellowish. But if you've already submitted on either both, then I will have no say for that.
But yes, it's really nice. Plus, you use smaller image and vectored it to 1024x768 res.

that is just wow.... the colors are awesome.... it's all just awesome!!
