I haven't seen the whole movie, so i don't know if the rukia gets her powers back, But you can try youtube to find the movie, I believe there is a few in that site for the movie.

It isn't out yet. It premiered in Japanese theaters in December, so don't any of you expect anything just yet. Although, there was a bootleg copy leaked out to the internet, which has very poor quality. Some previews were shown of the movie during the opening theme for a few episodes back in November and December.

The movie takes place right after the original Soul Society Arc (if I remember correctly...),and then runs through into a separate universe from the anime from there.Rukia will use her powers in the movie...and other strange things happen.The one girl who is like a main character in the movie doesn't even exist in the anime or manga....

Look it up in wikipedia if you're really curious...it explains better,just avoid the spoilerish stuff at the end if you don't want to know the whole thing....

Going along with what Xero was stating, the movie did come out around December of last year.

If I remember correctly the DVD is slated to be released in Japan around September. When that occurs, some sub-groups will most likely pick it up and do their thing with it to please us fans that aren't fluent in the Japanese language. So my suggestion is to just wait patiently until the DVD comes out in Japan then pray a group picks it up. I'm certain that one particular sub group will definitely pick it up and sub it ASAP but just in case it might be considered advertising I will leave their name unstated but I'm sure most of you guys and gals have a certain group you constantly download from. Just send them an email a couple days after the movie is out on DVD in Japan and see if they're working on it.

The new movie has already been announced in the Weekly Shonen Jump in Japan. From what I remember:

Hitsuguya supposedly has to go rogue because he's convicted of a crime. He is sentenced to death (like Rukia), so Ichigo and company are trying to clear his name and figure out what the truth behind the crime is.

If my information is a bit off feel free to correct me, but I'm sure that's the general plot.

So here's to a September-October sub release of the first Bleach Movie ^^!

The movie won't be out in the U.S. for a while, as the movie takes place after the Soul Society Arc (it came into theaters toward the end of the Bounto Filler Arc), so it will be minimally 4 months until it comes out in the U.S., though I'd be willing to say 6-7 months.

Also remember, that like most movies based off anime series, it's essentially filler anyway.
