Well, before Wizzy comes in here and eats you face (heheheee <3) let me be the first to point out that theyre extractions, not renders.
Anyway, the first one came out nice, but the hair of the second is a bit uneven (the lines I mean).
God..their names are on the tip of my tougne!!!!

kurama (yoko) and hiei. I call them renders.

thats their names!!
Anyway, calling them renders is calling them something theyre not. A render is to create somethig, like you render a character in 3D StudioMax. You extract a picture from its original background, or you take out. Extractions and renders are two very different things.

Not to be rude, but many people do call them renders regaurdless of definitions. plus many 'extraction sites call them renders, including a major render sites like planetrenders.com and gamingrenders.com. anyways, I'd rather be incorrect than have to type extraction. sorry.

that sites were probably made by n00bs .... that's why they use the wrong word ...

Yes you need to work on Yoko's hair and make it a little smoother but other than that they are both good and useable extractions.

FYI like above just about everyone here calls them extractions unless they made the pic from scratch and those that do call them renders get the same type of replies as you do.

To save HUGE arguments going on in the thread ... >_>, YuYu, like you I used to call them renders because I visited those sites you mentioned. But this is AG.net galleries and TheWizzard is in charge of them and he has brought up quite a few good points into the reasoning that they are called extractions. And while other sites call them "renders" that is their own prerogative and their site, and they can call them what they want. But for the sake of arguments, they are called 'extractions' here and that's the way we like it and it's going to stay that way.

Hopefully this clears up some confusion and not drag threads out longer than they need to be. I would love to see more of your extractions if you'd kindly post them. They look good so far, just be careful with your strokes, they look a little squiggly. :)

It's not just "here" or "there" ... They just need to understand when they use right or wrong terms!
It'd be the same as if I'd use the term "knife" instead of "fork" ... imagine how many complication may rise x_x

Here's an example;

The child got a spoon and stabbed the dog.

Yeah, because spoons stab real well, better than a knife, right? No offense, Thornwillow, but Wizzy is right. That'd be like calling my Bala Sharks, Guppies when they're obviously not, or calling an expensive breyer model a cheap fifty cent peice you'd get at a dollar store when most standard breyers run for easily around fifty bucks.

Call them what they are. Ex-trac-tions. Not Renders. Just because one site made by a bunch of idiotic morons says one thing doesn't mean it's true. Don't ALWAYS beleive what you read on the net that was made by a ten year old. Calling them renders could just get you into trouble, since that'd be kind of... Oh I don't know... Claiming a copywritten item, I think?

Thank you DiD. Lol. I wasn't disagreeing with Wizzy at all. I was only trying to augment his point the difference between the two. I was telling YuYu that I used to call them 'renders' until Wizzy showed me the errors of my ways. :D And I was just trying to take an understanding point that if other sites want to call them renders, then let them call them renders, even though they are wrong. We have the right terminology here at AG.net galleries and that makes me happy. I have also provided an Extraction versus Render thread in this forum to help with mis-understandings. ^_^
