I liked him in the earlier days when he wanted to destroy everything. He was alright as a hero and I liked that he kept his personality through it, but it's just personal preferance.

And is it just me or did he seem a lot shorter when he was evil?

Vegeta? He was OK as a bad guy, I just got really tired of his incessent whining about Kakarot post-Frieza. Even Majin Vageta seemed pretty Emo. Bebi Vegeta was alright though.

He's strong because he's determined. I like the fact that he never gives up and is always trying to catch up to Goku. I also like that he's funny even though he's not trying to be.

A decent villian, but it terms of awesomeness, he lost out to Piccolo in his early days. I think Vegeta was best during the early part of the Buu Saga, when he had the Majin symbol on his forehead...went he fought Goku. Still...that whole self-destuction/martyrdom move really wasn't for him; that's a classic Goku move right there.

Vegeta is so misunderstood by his peers. He's such a complex character. His strong sense of pride and honor is admirable. However, he is too conceited for his own good and that's what gets him in trouble. He has changed a lot since the begining of DBZ or I should say his point of view has changed. He's turned into a regular guy. lol

He's my favorite and I loved it more when he and Bulma got married. He was also pretty funny in DBGT where he had a moustache (sorry, can't spell that). He was more sensitive in DBGT though. I liked it when he blew himself up to save Trunks and Bulma when fighting Buu

I think Vegeta rocks because he's an under dog, in a way. He's mostly just a behind the top spot, and strives for first place any way he can. There are also times when he proves to be very good.

He's the bad guy you just love to see behaving good, but when he's bad he rocks.

One of my favourite characters. I like the way he's one of the characters with most PRIDE and anyway, if it wasn't for his pride being some sayjin prince or whatever, I think he's actually a kind person...

Sorry, sailor moon might be eternally forgiving but I can't stomache the idea of her hooking up with a guy who's murdered billions of people for fun and profit. Then laughs at their weakness.

I think Vegeta is a very interesting character in the show. He is strong, proud but in a way gentle in kind. I think it was a big suprise for everyone when he came out as Trunks' father.

If he never learns to just not give a damn, he's not going to die in battle; he'll die of a massive aneurism, sitting at home, after Bra asks him one too many times if she can have $22,000 for some clothes. He'll explode, throw a glorious tantrum fit even for a royal saiyan, and then collapse, having died of, as I've said, a massive aneurism.

For instance, instead of throwing a fit about the pink "BAD MAN" shirt, he simply could have knocked out the lil' Yamchump. It certainly woul've been better on his heart. Or he could've just given him one of those evil glares he seems to be so good at.

He's gonna die of stress. He is a character utterly incapable of garnering any empathy from me. He should have been killed by Cel.

I like Vegeta, he has some good qualities, but doesn't show them through fear of seeming weak. Also, he wants to be stronger than Goku because he feels it is his birthright as the prince of saiyens.

Prince? Pfft. He has no knowledge of what the Saiyans were; he only knows whatever Frieza was inclined to tell to him. His knowledge of his great race is very much incomplete, and yet he acts as if he is the authority on Saiyan history...it's just Vegeta being an arrogant BS-er again.
Nappa would've been the only one who had actually grown up as a Saiyan rather than as Frieza's servant-monkey, but...I don't think I'd trust Nappa to explain anything about a culture to me. He's far too dim.
Another problem I have with Vegeta is his constant assertion that he is the Prince of all Saiyans.

His father is dead, isn't he? Shouldn't he start calling himself King? I bet he'd like to be promoted, so...why does he never do that? It makes no sense...

OMK, i love him! not only cause, well, he's like, the kami of smex, but just everything about him! to quote him, he his certainly a "freaking genius", and he's tough, inside and out. most fans believe he had to go through complete and sheer hell on Frieza's ship, and to have to go through that says a lot about a person. he has a hard, prideful exterior, but he truly loves his family and would do anything for them. even when he was Majin, he still sacrificed himself to save his family!!! he even hugged Trunks, which in my opinon was one of the sweetest moments of DBZ. he's probably the only one who's really universally smart. not in the acedemic way (he's that too), but he just knows helpfull things. he's been through a lot, more than a person should! he's my fave character in DBZ, and i think he should definitely be respected so much more! i love him ^_^!3

PV'sL, your assertion that Vegeta is the only one who's "universally smart" (whatever that means) is silly. For practical knowledge, Piccolo easily surpasses him, especially since he's got two other parts of his mind from which to draw, and Vegeta certainly has little social knowledge or grace. There are several individuals who trump him in academic knowledge, too.
By the way, knowledge does not necessarily indicate intelligence. Intelligence is more acurately described as how quickly one learns or how one thinks rather than what one knows.

0) Of course Piccolo's smart. He's an intellectual and he's green, bearing a resemblance to the Great Gazoo.
1) He's a tactician, not a strategist. None of the DB cast have strategic minds save for Piccolo and, sometimes, the Kais.
"Tactics" is not equivalent to "strategy." A tactical situation is one battle, one engagement, something on a small scale (Ex.: Attacking a convoy). A strategic situation is enormous in scale, often dealing with several theaters and many tactical situations (Ex.: Defeating another country in a whole war). Tactical, when used to describe equipment, usually means a small load is carried or that the equipment is meant for close support, a very immediate concern. Strategic, on the other hand, means that the relevant equipment is capable of destroying many targets at once. This can be seen most easily in the designations of air force aircraft.
Sorry I did that, but I'm sick of people using tactical and strategic (and related words) interchangably.
As for Vegeta thinking things through...his attitude has bested him all but once, that occassion being the Buu-Blasting-Bomb he advised Goku to create towards the end of the series. Every other time he has botched sound plans due to his unrivalled arrogance.

That could be an exchange between Vegeta and Goku/Gohan/assorted-good-guys if I didn't know better.
2) If being creepy is your job, you'll stay imployed for at least another year.
