Omg,you're asking too much...How can you love anime only from seeing pic?
Well,here's a little something:
Edward and Alphonse(Ed and AL)Elric, are brothers, they have lost their mother and tried to revive her with human alchemy...They failed, but they were only ones who survived using that alchemy, but toka koka law took Al's body, and Ed's arm and leg.Al's soul becamed meerged with armor, and Ed got automail(mechanic arm and leg),but as the survivors, they were called by Roy Mustang in state alchemist, were Ed discovered that he can use alchemy without drawing alchemy circle...And so the story goes,Ed becamed State Alchemist, know as Full Metal Alchemist,he helped people, but in meantime he was in search for philosopher's stone, which is said that can revive dead person...And so the story goes on,and there comes Homunculus(persons who are dead, but tried to being revived with human alchemy),and so they finnaly encounter their mother(imagine that fight!)...
Oh,yeah, there's man named Scar, who has somewhat cursed alchemy hand, with it he blows everything, and he kill's alchemists...
Well,that's a little intro,I hope it helped you...If you're not satisfied,you can google it...
See ya around...

Basically, the plot is this:

Two brothers, Edward and Alphonse Elric, lose their mother Trisha when they are very young. Their father, Hohenheim, left long beofre Trisha's death. Ed and Al had been studying Alchemy for a while, and when their mother died, they tried to bring her back to life by means of a Human Transmutation, the most forbidden Alchemic taboo. They failed; Ed lost his left leg, and Al lost his while body. Ed sacrificed his right arm in order to save Al's soul. He placed it in a suit or armor. Roy Mustang and Riza Hawkeye, from the Military, came to see the brothers after getting a letter. Ed has since been fitted with automail. He is given a chance to join the military as a State Alchemist. He accepts, and is given the alias, "FullMetal Alchemist." He and Al, still in armor, start searching for something called the "Philosopher's Stone," so they can get their bodies back to normal. They have many other journeys and such along the way. They meet the Homunculi, beings that are almost human, but without a soul. They each have a strange and unique power, and are named for the Seven Deadly Sins. Envy can shape shift int any human (and also a dragon); Lust can turn her nails into sharp, lance-like weapons; Gluttony can eat anything; Greed can alter the carbon in his body, creating "the ultimate shield"; Pride can see the future, so to speak; Sloth can turn into water and other objects; and Wrath can use Alchemy. Homunculi cannot use Alchemy, with the exception of Wrath. He can only use Alchemy because he had Edward's lost limbs. I won't give away the end of the series for you, but it's a very good series, though it can be confusing at times.
