[Gimp]Making Sigs (for beginners)

It was originally made for another board. I will post it although unedited.

After I open an image as layer it sticks it in the middle, how do I move it?

Thanks for the tutorial Hawkatex! =D I found this to be simple, yet detailed enough that it gives the user some creativeness on their own part, while not straying them from their creation too much. ^^ Also, this tutorial, after reading over it, is easily adapted into photoshop, no problem. So thank you again for sharing such a wonderful tutorial for all our GIMP users out there. ^^
