well i also have these in my testing thread, but this place seems a bit more accurate for this kinda thing, well anywho, here's what i've done:
first off, my stuff about my Company:
this first one is about the free avatars we have:
these two are about the forum:
and now for two regular sigs:
ok, that's all the old stuff, for the girls, two more, the lettering is the same on both of them(i made these last night):
these i can say i'm proud of

one more i just finished, it didn't take very long, i made it with photoimpression:
i don't like it as much as my last ones

Your stuff isn't bad, but you could use a little work on positioning. Like the backgrounds you have aren't bad at all, but some of your text is in a little excess. Try to go for more simple bouts of text usage. Oh! And the extractions of your characters has a little bit of white around them. It's easy to go ahead and select the character, if you use Photoshop, and contract the pixel border by 1 pixel, then inversing the selection and press "delete" to get rid of that extra white. But mainly, look at examples of how text is use to improve that, and I think everything will be good.
ALSO! Big tip ... avoid multi-posting in your threads, instead of posting like you did again there, edit your main post. Hopefully that helps. :)

very nice ^^ but may i advice you to get GIMP? you can find the portable version thats good for windows here ----> http://portableapps.com/apps/graphics_pictures/gimp_portable <--------
its completely free, and safe to download ^^
oh, btw, i LOVE the Totaro one XD its so funny lol

well, the pc i was making these on won't support gimp, that's the reason i wasn't using it, that pc is very old, and the specs are about 6 years old, but yes i have used gimp it is a very good program, however, i prefer animator and photoimpression, plus animator has a line tool that gimp doesn't have.
Thanks for the commments ^^ acually, all those that you see are my first sigs

my sis asked me to help her out with making sigs, so i made a new one :P
Clarad001 asked for a sig, so i made a Gaara one for her, seeing as she is a big fan of him :P
there are two versions:
one without custom shadows:

I finally got the chance to make a sig of my favorite love hina episode:
tell me what you think...
03-11-2007, 04:48 AM
Hehe. Yeah, that episode is funny as hell. :D
Really nice idea for a sig.
But I'd try to make it look a bit more, well, Sig-like. You could add some not changing elements to achieve that. For example add the Love Hina logo to the upper left corner, add one or two simple shapes, lines or brushes or a text to it.
And now: "I'll shut up." :p
Keep up the good work and have fun,

Hm, 1MB for a sig kinda too much you know ;)
03-14-2007, 09:14 AM
i'll be editing it a bit, speeding it up and stuff so it shouldn't take 1mb after i alter it a bit
03-14-2007, 09:26 AM
Wow, Your sigs are really good, I would love to do those kind of tings But I don't ave any of those programs.

i recommend downloading Paint.NET (http://www.getpaint.net/index2.html) or Gimp (http://www.gimp.org/) then, they are both free, my personal favorite is Paint.NET, and if you want to make animated Gifs get MS Gif Animator (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/win/13212).
i use Paint.NET and gif animator, gimp's just not for me
