I had both FFXI and Guild Wars. FFXI for a P2P game really isnt the worth it, it's an average game at that.
Guild Wars is a good game but in the long term isn't something that will keep you hooked with a level cap at 20 and starts to revolve more around team work, parties, guilds. Going solo in it doesn't hack it. Also on my char.. complete 15k armor set + green air wand set =) As for Factions - For those old experieced players Factions is nothing new, boring, dull and the same as the last.
Silkroad online is pretty good. A F2P forever game, has more servers than some P2P with constant updates and so many future plans for more expansions. Currently we are restricted to China but soon we will have Europe open to us. Problem is it's so popular the servers are always packed, a new server was open 4 days ago (24th Aug) and hours later it was overpacked to capacity.

Another good one is Lineage 2, great if you are into PVP a lot and Guilds/Alliances en all. A guild is a must in this game as it revolved around controlling territory. You're guild and alliance wages war on others, no guilds consist of about 100 players average, and alliances about 5 average guilds (so 500 vs 500 players normally) In a battle to take control or defend your castle. If you control the castle you control its economy such as NPC tax prices.

Lineage II, that game totally rocks, and the graphics are awesome, maple story was pretty good also XD
hmm, a lot of people said they liked FFXI but I was really dissapointed in the game play and graphics
I played runescape, thang, and gunz.
You all now what runescape is I hope. thang is pretty fun. It has reely good graphics and an active community. Its action based so you'll be fighting a lot. And if your gonna play this game, I recommed you fined out how you should spend your points from lvling up correctly. go to thang.ongameport.com to play thang. I recommend it. Gunz is also realy fun. It has a very small rpg thing. You could lvl up, but all that meens is you could use stronger equpment. You could fight with guns, grenads, and swords. This is the best online game I have ever played. Go to gunzonline.com to play it.

also its fully free (almost :p) free to download, free to play. you only pay money if you wanna buy special item or costume
Only part of it is in english on my computer. Is there an english version?

City of Villains, you can fly above skyscrapers and beat the crap out of those dam, oh so nice and loving heroes.
I have both, and I played hereos for about 2 months, with a little villian every now and then. My main was a level 30 scrapper. I stopped playing once all the task forces became impossible to do without a full party, and arch villians were gods. Giant monsters became impossible too, I used to have fun watching 30-40 or so players take on lusca and lose, when before issue 7, you could take down lusca easily with that number.
I may actually start playing again...I had fun on it...and WoW is just getting boring.
I am such a nerd for even playing this game, even if it was only for a month, star wars galaxies
Heh, I played for 3. Got up to level 50 then stopped, because it started to get REALLY lame.
However, there are some days I feel like loging on just for old times sake. However, i'm not paying 15 dollars for old times sake either.
I will give galaxies one thing, It did VERY well in both the characer creation, so did city of heroes (WoW's character creation process SUCKS"
Right now, my main MMO is WoW. Level 32 druid, night elf. My name is Redfield(who foresaw that?). Server, eldre' thalis...or however it's spelt. I haven't played in a good 3 weeks, it was just getting too boring.
However, if I were to pick a favorite, it would be either star wars galaxies and city of heroes/villians. Both are more fun too me, but galaxies is pretty much dead(which kinda upsets me), and heroes is following the same path. Most of the lower level players are higher levels building up a new character...No respect for super heroes/villians anymore in this generations >=(
(which I think is true, I was the youngest person in my guild, I was 17 at the time, most of the people I met were 20-35)

I have played SWG, FFXI, City of Heros/City of Villains, D&D, and WoW..
SWG was a a lot of fun, but it really sucked. I was lucky and found a bunch of people that made the game fun for me, despite all the shortcomings the game had, what with the classes that were just plain broken, and all the customers shouting "Nerf!!!"
FFXI was a grind more than it was a fun game. I played it with my friends and coworkers up until around level 55. The biggest problem with that game was that you couldn't group with your friends if they were even 3 levels higher than you. It hurt your experience. After that, it was just the same thing over and over again. You log in, you spend 1.5-3 hours looking for the perfect 6-man group, and then you find the appropriate area and kill the evil turnips for 3 hours. There was so little variety, the game just wasn't fun.
City of Heroes and City of Villians was a really neat idea, and I absolutely loved the character creation. It's so much fun to make someone look just about exactly the way you want. The abilities were neat.. But what frustrated me about the game was once again, the lack of variety. Every mission, you take your group of friends into a building or sewer or whatever, you do one of 4 different things, and you leave. It got boring quickly. I loved the idea, but I felt like it was implemented poorly.
Also, I would have liked it if villians could have freely gone into the Hero cities. No such luck.
D&D.. I couldn't get into it. I couldn't bring myself to play past level 3. My biggest confusion was how I could attempt the same mission over and over again, and fight things that were my level, but the outcomes would be so very different. For example, a level 2 kobold, I fought it many times. Sometimes I just couldn't get a hit off on it. I would be beaten soundly, as if I had no business fighting it. Other times, I would kill it in 2 hits, and it wouldn't hit me once. I never had any close calls in between. It was always one extreme or another. I freely recognize that this wasn't the experience most people shared, but it frustrated me enough that I finally gave up playing.
WoW is the one I had the most fun with. The story is what drew me in the most. I love how every quest fits in with the overall story, and there are so many quests out there. I love how you don't need 5 people to level with all the time. If you only have a half hour to play, you can go do something alone for a while. If you have more time and want to group up with people, you can go do that for a while. To me, the biggest downfall of the game is the attitude of the players. It seems most common to find guilds who expect you to be a serious player. Especially end game, they expect you to log in for 4 hour raids 3 times a week. Not everyone can be such a serious player, but we still should be able to find guilds that would accept us...

The MMORPG i really got into was City Of Heros. Before it had even came out, my friends and I were all over it just because it was such an awesome idea.Sadly though, it got old very quickly, since all of the missions were pretty much the same and there was really not too much to keep my interest, but it was fun while it lasted.
Did anyone ever play Phantasy Star Online? Yeah I know its old but it seemed like a fun game from what I've played(I only played it offline) a while back. I think its coming out for the 360, so I might have to check it out.
Anyway, I hope that some consoles get some good MMORPG'S, because Im not such a big fan of playing them on the computer.

You can probably guess from the sig that I'm a World of Warcraft fan *grin* I love the game. I play on a RP-PvP server and my guild has much to my surprise gotten a pretty good rep as a roleplaying guild on our server. Not quite sure how THAT happened, but it did :D and I'm very pleased!
Roleplaying really adds a whole new dimention to the game (to any game really), some people think it's a bit dorky but there are few things more fun than relaxing in-character around a campfire in the game. ^_^
So if anyone plays WoW, feel free to look me up on the US Emerald Dream server as Harpalyce, alliance-side. :)
