This week's chapter was great. I loved that full-page spread...it's now my desktop.
It seems that my sources were right, but man, that was a great chapter. Not a whole lot of development, but it really got me going for next week's chapter.
But now that Noitora shows up, I bet it will switch over to either Ishida and Renji, or Chad. I'm still really curious about Chad, though.

Did you retouch the scan Xero to make it more fitting as a wallpaper?
If so...could I have a copy? haha.
I'm not sure if I'm looking at that panel correctly but did Noitora just cut Grimmjow in half...? I'm sure Orihime would be able to heal him if that were the case seeing as we now know her powers reverse time/negate an event from happening and not repair wounds.
If Kubo decides to continue with Ichigo's struggle I will be seriously surprised. I agree though Xero, this chapter made me pysched for next week's to see which perspective the events will turn to (or I suppose we can remain with Ichigo's PoV).

All did was put it in paint and get rid of some of the black on the top and bottom of the image, so that it was proportional to my screen resolution (1280x800, widescreen).
And, no, I also looked at when Grimmjow got stabbed, but it appears it was more of him being impaled that cut in half. Either way, that will keep him down, if not kill him.
And, I'm surprised that Inoue didn't heal Ichigo immediately after the fight, seeing as he is so beat up and she is obviously head-over-heels for the guy.

Alrighty, thanks for the info on the scan Xero.
I think Inoue is in complete shock after witnessing Ichigo go Hollow and then unleashing all that power on Grimmjow. This fight was on a whole different scale than the Byakuya one so I think she's acting all spacey because she just can't imagine being this close to Ichigo during one of his battles. Plus, this battle was for her while the Byakuya fight was for Rukia's sake. I think she's just taking it all in before she heals Ichigo.
I don't Noitora's the type of Espada that is going to let Orihime heal Ichigo though. Let's hope he wants to fight Ichigo at full strength rather than within an inch of his life.
The filler this week seems interesting. "Hueco Mundo Civil War - Ulquiorra dead" is the title of the episode. Well those of us who read the manga know that is a false fact, but it'll be interesting to see a filler episode with Hueco Mundo as its setting.
And, I'm surprised that Inoue didn't heal Ichigo immediately after the fight, seeing as he is so beat up and she is obviously head-over-heels for the guy.
It was Ichigo's reiatsu.

Bah, the episode had some interesting story in it, but the animation! It was trully drawn patheticly ugly! Probably the worst animated Bleach episode I've yet seen.

It was Ichigo's reiatsu.
What was his reiatsu? That has nothing to do with my question. I am asking why, after Ichigo fought Grimmjow, Orihime didn't try and heal him, seeing as three chapters ago she was so concerned with how injured he was.

Episode? We aren't talking about an episode. And, yeah, the anime is currently in filler(again), so expect the animation to be crap. They are trying to keep airing episodes, but reserving money for later, non-filler episodes. In addition to that, long running series like Bleach tend to fluctuate in the quality of the animation. But, then again, there was a lot of times during the Soul Society arc when some things really were drawn like garbage...Renji a few times as well.

I have some good news and bad news, bad news first as always...
No New Bleach Chapter this week...and no new Bleach episode this upcoming Wednesday/Thursday. I seriously want to know which point of view the manga is going to take after what went down at the end of the last week's chapter...guess we have to wait one more week *cries*.
Good news...
"Ichigo vs. Grimmjow, the 11-second Battle"
is the title for episode 139 of Bleach.
So it seems fillers will be ending sooner than we thought ^^!
We can all relax and look forward to the Bleach Anime returning to the original arc, and forget about Hitsuguya playing soccer and Yumichika baking a cake!

Think about it. He is a vizard with power greater than grimjaw. Don't you remember when the captain of squad 1 was preparing to battle? That leutenant fainted.

Just took a peek at the Japanese version of the Bleach Chapter this week!
Without giving too much away and basing everything on the visuals, Noitora and Ichigo begin their bout and Orihime seems to be in danger. We find our Noitora's Espada rank which might be obvious to some of us but its nice to see the number revealed.
At the end of the chapter the story rolls back towards Ishida and Renji (FINALLY!) and it seems we'll finally see if the Quincy and Shinigami pair prevails against the cunning Espada.
I'll be gone for the weekend so I won't know exactly what's going down in Bleach until Sunday when I get back *tears*.
Take it easy guys and have an awesome weekend.

Okay, so, I thought Nell was pretty cool in the first place, but now...damn. That's just awesome. Though, this probably means that Nell will have a "true form", and end up looking as...er...womanly...as Yoruichi. Heh. That's Kubo Tite's writing for you...

My thoughts exactly.
I suppose next chapter will be a flashback story of Nell's past so the action happening right now will be taking a backseat. In the strange event that no past is revealed, I want to see the Ishida and Renji fight conclude or at least reach a breaking point. I have a feeling they'll end up switching "dance partners" so to speak, because if you're fighting yourself then you know what you're capable of and the limit of your abilities. Ishida can tell Renji his weaknesses and vice versa then the two can go ahead and kill each other's dopplegangers off.
Nell with a womanly body though...we know her saliva has healing purposes so I wonder what happens when you Kiss Espada Nell...haha okay too much spacing out there.
So maybe Nell's "brothers" are really her subordinates?
Anyways, great chapter this week with a cliffhanger that is more of a revelation then cutting off a heart-racing fight. And I prefer these chapter endings than the whole "...is ____ defeated?!?!?" conclusions that seem to be a trend for the majority of the recent chapters.
Nell seemed to be so useless. I guess that's why she no longer made the cut.

I've been thinking this for a while, but, I really can't stand how little content is being put into each chapter at this point. If you think about it, Tite used to put a decent amount of material into each chapter, but now, it's just one or two things happening per chapter. Fox example, in the last chapter, Ichigo dodged Nnotra's(correct spelling of his name, apparently) attack, got beaten up, Orihime can't find Nell, Nell is a former Espada. Before that, Ichigo and Nnotra fight, Ishida and Renji run in a circle. It really isn't much per chapter anymore...

Kubo is probably trying to milk the Bleach machine for all its worth at this point. Most likely he has the entire arc laid out in front of him but continues to slow the pace of the story progression to keep us on our toes. It won't be before long that most of the fanbase will get impatient with this sudden halt in character/story development and begin to point fingers at Tite.
I've noticed the decline of story progression as well Xero and hopefully Kubo will quicken the pace of the arc sometime in the near future. Overall, I think he's getting the effect that he wants from the Bleach fans:
Ending every chapter in a way that we HAVE to read next week's chapter.
I seriously hope he cranks up the pace with the Hueco Mundo/Rescue Orihime Arc already. The rest of the Shinigami in Soul Society are just itching for their time to shine and they won't get that chance until Ichigo and company are done with their business in Los Noches. Knowing Kubo's style though someone from Soul Society or the real world (Urahara/Ichigo's father) could interfere in a "hopeless" fight sometime in the future ^^.

And here I was, thinking that the chapters flew by simply because I'm a manga ravaging fan. I guess looking back on it, things have been stretched thinly.
Nnotra? o_O For real? Crap, I got so used to Noitora.
Anyway, the Nell thing was a possibility from the beginning of the arc I suppose. I had really thought she and her tag along band of friends were simply comic relief, her slurred speech and random blurbs included.
To be an ex-espada will certainly be interesting. She must've been on the lower half of the chain, if Nnotora cracked her mask and defeated her so easily (or so he claimed). Quite a mouth on that guy by the way.
Flashback or some chapter dedicated to explaining her backstory is pretty standard.
Yay.
EDIT: Anyone else disgusted by Grantz's release? Freaked me out. I'm really pumped to see how that battle plays out as well, but it'll probably be shown in snippets as well >_>
Gjallarhorn
09-12-2007, 08:58 PM
Yeah...I wasn't a big fan on Grantz's resurreccion. Grimmjow's was awesome, though. I'm really wondering what Ulquiorra's might be. I'm not so concerned with Nnotra's, but we'll probably end up seeing it in a few chapters.

I get the feeling Nell's number in the Espada was probably 5 and Noitora wanted to usurp her seat. That could easily explain the hatred Noitora bears for Nell, but I guess the flashback chapter will reveal everything OR Nell's espada transformation last week will cause her to regain memories of being an Espada and she'll just state her former rank and when she was knocked out by Noitora.
The Grantz fight will most likely end like this seeing as everyone is fighting their mirror image in the same area:
Ishida and Renji will switch opponents pitting Ishida vs Doppleganger Renji and Renji vs Doppleganger Ishida.
Throughout the fight Ishida and Renji will pass on their "weaknesses" to one another in order to exploit it on their respective clones.
Grantz will have a fit and then we'll probably see Renji and Ishida do a team-up attack. Perhaps a Bamboon Cannon coupled with a Zwienhender(sp?) shot(s).
Ulquiorra's release will be interesting since I never expected Grimmjow's to resemble a Panther. I honestly thought Grimmjow would be a Shark of some sort (yeah corny assumption based on JAWS). Noitora has a feminine body, in my opinion, and I bet his release gives him a bit more bulk to match his weapon.
Either way, this arc needs to wrap up soon so we can include the Vaizards and the Gotei 13 in on the action.

I think Nell was probably around 5 as well. Nnotra (shudder) said something about attacking her from behind so maybe Nell was stronger than he was at the time. Plus he looked kind of worried when Nell transformed. Though honestly, Nnotra seems like the type who would attach anyone from behind regardless of strength. Maybe his way of proving that he is the strongest is to sneak attack everyone above him.
Ishida & Renji's fight is taking too long. I feel like they keep making Renji look weaker & weaker with every fight.

I just read this week's chapter...
Wow I don't wanna say anything until you guys have read the chapter. It was SUPER short...but oh man Kubo packed some crazy action in those few pages. Although the story progressed by like five minutes...Nell's dirty little secret...oh dear you guys are gonna just go bonkers (at least I did).
Damn, even though this chapter was EXTREMELY short I was surprisingly satisfied at what was revealed about Nell.
Check it out already so we can discuss and just go bananas over what happened haha. I seriously don't know why I got all crazy when I saw that Panel in this week's chapter...you guys will know what I'm talking about ^^.

Nnotra must have dealt one heck of a blow.
Nell was number 3? Dang o_O; Stronger than Ulquiorra even? Or has the ranks of the Espada grown more powerful? Either way she's strong in her own right.
Note: I haven't read the chapter yet, just read the profile on Wikipedia

Chapter was good. Not a lot of development, but a lot of action. Real action. Not the iffy stuff we've been getting since Ichigo defeated Grimmjow.
Anyway, I love Nel even more now. As Souhi said, the newer Espada ranks are stronger than the old, but, if Nel just happened to go missing, then they would have just replaced her, meaning she is still very powerful compared to the current Espada. We know that she can easily handle the current number 5 Espada.
One more thing to worry about though...is that two hour limit that Ulquiorra was sealed for approaching? It has been a while...
Also, I'm willing to bet that soon, next chapter or the chapter after that, Nnotra uses his resurreccion, fights evenly with Nel, Nel gets serious, owns the hell out of him. (I r in kubo tite'z hed, steelin his bleech)

I've reached that conclusion as well Xero, but there's a minor tweak in how I percieve the future chapters. Perhaps, Noitora will get owned by Nell but in the aftermath, Ulquiorra breaks free from the seal and finishes off a now weakened Nell (after the hypothesized fight with Noitora).
The Story will probably pan back and forth between the Grantz v. Ishida/Renji fight to lengthen the whole progression of the manga as well.
I guess the bright side to all of this is that the anime is going to be at the current manga arc in a few episodes (my guess is in 2 episodes). They just have to do an "aftermath" episode and then the whole deal with Ichigo getting healed by Orihime and Rukia/Renji being taken back to Soul Society by Kenpachi and Byakuya.
The wait for me is finally over and most likely Ishida will make his return in 2-3 weeks. I'm excited for Chad as well because I'm looking forward as to how they animate his fight scene...although the outcome of his endeavors is heartbreaking.

I kind of agree with ya, sept I think next chapter Nnotra will do his release, somehow gets Nel to go into a mini flashback, then gets owned by Nel. Chapter after that I wish (but prob wont happen) would focus on Renji and Ishida's fight...but more likely wont:closedeye
Would be happy as well if Ulquiorra finally comes out of that seal and faces Nel afterwards.
That could happen.... or Orihime could manage to heal Ichigo somehow, and he could step in, being more powerfull than before. It's the oldest one in the book, but it is not uncommont.

Nell's release/resurreccion was less extravagant than the other releases in my opinion. I suppose the horns on her mask gave out the hint that her original Hollow form was that of a goat.
It seems the Renji/Ishida fight is coming to a close...I hope...and I'm somewhat pleasantly surprised at the conclusion.
Ulquiorra will probably break up the fight because I don't see Nell returning back to her Espada form anytime soon. I'd be surprised if Ichigo took center stage after Nell to fight Noitora, Orihime should have been busy healing Ichigo. Well it will be interesting to see who swoops in and saves the day because things are looking pretty grim for our little Nell.

Basically this week's chapter was a little DBZ-esque towards the end BUT I did like the ending for some reason.
Maybe it's because I want to see how one's power has grown over the course of the Hueco Mundo arc and perhaps there will be other..."rescues."
Overall, this chapter was good because it panned back over to Chad and Rukia showing the results of their respective fights and alluding to what may be their unavoidable death at the hands of the arrancar that have found their bodies...but the conclusion of this week's chapter hints towards some sort of "rescue mission" hehe.
Personally I think the Rescue Orihime Arc is drawing to a close with the information given by this chapter and the "war" everyone's been waiting for is finally on the horizon. I'm looking forward to the re-introduction of all the Vaizards and HOPEFULLY we get to see a Bankai/Hollow release from one of the Vaizard members.
As far as the Espada go, this chapter alludes to the fact that the current Espada is not the first generation/group. While the arrancar that Ichigo, Chad, and Ishida fought were former Espada members and Nel being revealed as one herself this information has been dangling around for a while but the comment made by one of the Espada members seems to re-kindle that whole process of Espada ranks fluctuating.
Hoping this week's chapter finally puts a lid to the Renji/Ishida fight or at least save those two from dying. I would not mind a focus on the character that appears at the end of the current chapter nor would I mind a full montage of the fate of Chad and Rukia seeing as they're incapable of any forms of defending themselves.
This is going to play out like the Rescue Sasuke arc from Naruto. Everyone will get a corresponding rescuer. Renji/Ishidas will probably be something like Hitsugaya and friends. Byakuya will come to save his sister. Chad, with his luck, will probalby get Bernard and Ms. Bianca flying in on Orville.

What exactly could Kenpachi do, in all seriousness? Remember that Kenpachi lost to Shikai Ichigo. Noitora is stronger than Grimjaw who Ichigo barely defeated in Hallow form.

Mind you, Nnotra is already injured and tired from fighting Nel, and Kenpachi is roughly on par with Ichigo in terms of reiatsu, and also refuses to go down until he has no other choice.
I think that Byakuya may show up to since, if you remember, he and Kenpachi were put in charge of taking care of things after that last Shinigami/Arrancar fight.
I'm still waiting for Ulquiorra to come back from that 2-hour thing Grimmjow put him in. I think that Ichigo&Co. will probably retreat for now, take care of their wounds, and so forth. Ichigo will probably have to go crawling back to the Vaizards who won't accept him all too warmly, and gain more control over "the horse". Things -really- don't look good for Sado and Rukia. (My idea for Byakuya coming along with Kenpachi has Kenpachi saving Ichigo while Byakuya saves Rukia...since he's so brotherly...and Sado as well).

Read my mind. I was waiting on that expected "Not so fast" panel with an -unexpected- saviour. Nnotra's becoming incredibly annoying, and I'm waiting for someone to shut him up. He plays his part perfectly.
To be honest, I have no idea what Kenpachi's reason for being there is (Is Soul Society stepping in again despite their initial stance, or did he come of his own accord?) Nothing comes to mind at the moment. They're obviously there to help, I know. I agree with Xero that Byakuya is most likely coupled with him in the rescue.
Too obvious! I guess everyone escapes death once again.
On a semi-related subject, any thoughts on the new opening or the anime in general? I believe a small filler arc beings again soon, which I don't mind.

Lol, this post was completely overlooked.
But still, the espada are enough to take out all of Soul Society. I don't think the captains are on equal terms versus an espada member--especially upperclass ones. Ichigo had captain class power and yet he needed to be in hallow form to defeat Grimjaw.

Thats so true of course. Everyone who is captain level really don't stand a chance especially if it took Ichigo having to be in hallow form and since every captain isn't like Ichigo, there really doesn't seem anyway that they could win against the espada.

Yeah, same here. He'll probably come right after Kenpachi finishes the fight with that espada. I don't think anyone could beat him. I'm sure Byakuya wasn't just sitting around while everyone else was out training during the Arrancar Arc. His power should have steadily grown like everyone else since he's been MIA from the start of this current arc. I thought it was a fitting counter zanpakutoh to that espada's resurrecion.
PLUS, since he has someone to fight for (Rukia) I'm sure that played into his mercilessness in that fight. Kinda makes you think about his fight with Ichigo...maybe he held back just a LITTLE bit because he didn't want to see Rukia executed nor execute her himself deep down huh?
Well I'm glad the fight is panning over to Mayuri vs Zyarsel(sp?). Although it hints at him getting beaten down I'm sure that won't be the case in the next chapter haha. Watch I bet Zyarsel will try to break organs in Mayuri's body but since he's almost all artificial and he has concoctions to regenerate limbs/muscles then he'd have a hard time using that gimick with his ressurecion on him. Hopefully his new look comes with new powers haha.

Good point you brought up there Sazzuke.
Just remember that the Vaizards are on standby AND I bet Ichigo's father, maybe Ishida's as well, PLUS Urahara and company will all play a vital role in the war.
Remember Aizen's true intention is to create the King's Key and usurp Soul Society's throne or something of that sort. So I'm sure after all the captains have had their fun in Hueco Mundo they're gonna roll out of there. Then afterwards we'll get a debriefing on what the Vaizards have been up to and then its on to the real war which would take place in Soul Society...unless the entrace to the King's castle is located someone in the real world haha.
Anyways, I don't see a full scale assault on Aizen's fortress but rather the two factions clashing at the King's gates.
And although the Espada numbers are dwindling I'm sure Aizen, Gin, and Tousen will be a handful to handle if they step into the battlefield.

I just started getting into manga. I'm new to the anime world. I'm about half way through the first volume of Bleach and I'm beginning to find a real liking for it. The humor in it is really interesting, perhaps this is the type of humor that is common place in anime/manga... I find that very interesting.

My question is; how strong is Aizen, really? Out of the Gotei 13, Byakuya, Zaraki, Yamamoto, and obviously Aizen, are probably the strongest, right? In the first Soul Society arc, Ichigo beat Byakuya by a hair.
And now, through the short filler arc we had, we now know that Rukia is able to beat an Adjuchas. Which are stronger than Menos.
So what the hell? If Aizen is stronger than all the Espada, which we can assume, and Ichigo is only as strong as Grimmjow, or a little stronger, and he is the 6th Blade, Aizen must be so incredibly powerful.
Add Tousen and Gin, who're stronger than the Espada as well?
Can even Yamamoto stand up to Aizen?

My question is; how strong is Aizen, really?
- Like your typical anime, the main characters have suddenly become Super Super Strong - SO cliche.
Here's my personal theory with things, and yes I do agree that somewhere along the lines someone will acsend to "Godly" status and be at equal footing with Aizen in terms of power.
Ichigo's Hollow form is still in its infancy state. His hollow side even hints at a possible return during the end of their fight, which might indicate that Ichigo must undergo another inner trial to acquire more power.
Aside from a possible surge of Hollow power I do have a vague theory though...
Ichigo could possibly be of the royal lineage in Soul Society. Aizen's main goal is to acquire the King's Key and eventually usurp the King of Soul Society and basically become a "God." While we have nearly zero information regarding the King of Soul Society, he (or she...haha you never know!) has to have some amount of power to be crowned the ruler of the afterlife. Perhaps Ichigo's father is the son of the current King and left his father's side to become a Soul Reaper. Eventually he fell in love with a human and decided to stay in the human world to forego raising a family and thus brings us towards today. Ichigo could be the rightful "heir" to Soul Society so to speak if his father dies or refuses to take the throne.
So basically, Ichigo's royal blood will play some part and probably trigger an increase in power in the future (maybe train with his "grandparent" to unlock the 2nd step of Bankai or what-not haha who knows). Most denizens of Soul Society already find it strange that Ichigo has an enormous amont of reitsu, so much so that it literally leaks out of him. This reitsu also has the power to bring out hidden potential within individuals (Orihime, Chad) so that might be his "royal aura" at work.
Again this theory is pure speculation and I have very vague facts to base this on. Whatever Kubo decides to do to up the ante in power within Bleach is fine with me...as long as it's explained. I will be a little disappointed if Aizen loses to someone who just becomes stronger out of sheer emotion (I suppose it'd be a somewhat valid reason to become stronger, but I've seen it done so many times I'm hoping that it'll be different this time around).
Regarding this week's chapter:
Somewhat disappointed at the ending to it. I do enjoy the Byakuya and Rukia relationship development that occurred in the chapter (awww he cares about his sister!) but the way it ended just bugged me somewhat. Just when we thought another fight would conclude...Kubo pulls this on us!
Seriously now this Espada has slithered out of an attack by Ishida and Renji, a joint Cero from Nel's subordinates, and now manages to find a loophole to survive Mayuri's Bankai. Goodness gracious he just needs to die or run away already. I suppose the way he was able to slide out of this attack was somewhat creative, since all the other ones involved him just recuperating almost instantaneously (well he pretty much did the same thing with this manuveur but like I said...it was creative).
So this fight drags on for ANOTHER chapter....hopefully the conclusion looms ahead very, very, very soon! Please...do not pan over to the Zaraki fight until this business is settled with! I want Aporro to get what's coming to him!
Alright that's all for my Bleach rant for now. Feel free to pick apart my theory or poke fun at me for getting so antsy at this week's chapter.

I just can't get over the fact that menos are now nothing to the shinigami, and adjuchas a minor challenge. It's so cliche, and I was expecting some lame-arse power increase over a very short time, but that much of one? One of the reasons I enjoy Naruto so much is that, while Naruto / Kyuubi no Kitsune are strong, even after 3 years, Naruto is still only a fairly strong ninja.
Anyway, nice theory. I would have to say you cheated somehow if that actually happens.
You can rationalize this all that you wish, but you can't change the fact that the power gap we are taking about here is too huge. Byakuya has been around for centuries, but in less than a month his power has more than doubled.
According to Hitsugaya, it would only take 10 Vasto Lords to take over Soul Society. The arrancar are superior to Vasto Lords. The espada are THE ELITE arrancar. I'm sorry but a captain is NOT equal to a an arrancar but rather inferior.
I think the lesson to learn here is that there is no consistency to the power level of the Bleach warriors. If you give someone even three days of training, they can increase their power many folds (especially if that person is Ichigo.) However, if they have little motivation to be strong (such as stopping hallows from eating up fellow human souls, since we know that is priority number 999 on the list) they will spend centuries of time gaining just about no power. Ichigo became above the captain class in less than a year.

Well at least we got a nice explosion of Kenpachi's insane, unpatched power.
I wonder how he'll fare against Resurreccion like you said though. Course he'll be smiling, but I really want to see Zaraki pushed to near death (even worse than against Ichigo), where he doesn't just blow the guy away in his power all the time. Nnotra's style seems to fit that scenario.

I think the real question is...
Did Kenpachi achieve shikai/bankai?
Now this is a crazy question seeing as Kenpachi is just raw power but after his fight with Ichigo and knowing full well he lost that fight he has must have realized that being able to form a shikai and knowing your zanpakutoh's name can tip the tides of battle.
Sure we can attest to Ichigo's resolve to save Rukia that time but what about Kenpachi's unending quest for a "good/fun fight."
What made me ask this question when I was reading this chapter...knowing full well that Nnoitora will use his ressureccion VERY soon is when Kenpachi was lying in defeat after his fight with Ichigo.
"Why won't you tell me your name?"
is what he asked his sword (if I remember correctly). So perhaps just like how Byakuya has leaped in power strides Kenpachi could very well have achieved Shikai.
What might be more surprising is if he had a Bankai...maybe he has no shikai but has a Bankai...can that even be possible haha??? Probably not BUT Kenpachi realizing his Zanpakutoh's name is not a far fetched hypothesis considering the evidence I have pointed out.
I've always been a stickler for little blurbs like that in mangas/animes. I'm still reeling over the manga page that may have revealed the outcome to who Naruto will end up with at the end of the series. The episode was recently aired in anime form (via Shippuden) and it got me all stoked. Well this isn't the Naruto thread so I'll stop there.
Also going back to last week's chapter.
Who wants to bet those two individuals hanging in Aporro's lab room are Ishida and Ichigo's Priva Espada opponents?
Also, the way that Mayuri won that fight against Aporro...simply jaw dropping. That was just so friggin devious of him and I wonder what the secret is behind his healing technique...haha.
EDIT: Read this week's chapter. Praying Mantis Resurrecion for Nnoitora...pretty fitting. His sword's name is questionable though hehe (Santa Teresa...is that Saint Teresa in Spanish?). So Nnoitora talks big after taking Kenpachi down a couple notches and has made a note to basically diss his sword. So...I suppose...next chapter...BANKAI!
Haha let me know what you guys and gals think, I'm pretty sure Kenpachi's got something up his sleeve that's at least "Bankai status."

Well, I believe it is explained that Kenpachi has already achieve permanent shikai (like Ichigo) due to his overwhelming power.
As for bankai... that would be a terrible retcon. He doesn't know his swords name and in under a month he learned bankai? Bankai takes decades to master unless you go through Ichigo's training.
What annoys me terribly out of all of this is how Ichigo stood up to Byakuya and Kenpachi, and he gained tremendous power later on. How Byakuya and Kenpachi could be anywhere near the level Ichigo is at is beyond me. Something special must have happened at Soul Society because their powers are not legit.

if ken-chan has already achieve, why his zanpakuto not bigger as ichigo's ? it supposed the zanpakuto had different size if already shikai...

Look at Zaraki's sword. It doesn't look like a normal sword of an unreleased shinigami.
Shikai are very diverse looking. Renji's shikai is like a long snake. Byakuya's shikai was just a bunch of petals.

Think of it like something you'd learn in school. Everything comes down to the basics.
And, that last double-page spread was awesome. While Kubo Tite's writing has been pissing me off lately, I can still marvel at his artwork.

it's because his zanpakuto is damaged after one to another battle. And the different only on the handle, everyone have different handle too...

Ichigo vs. Ulquiorra, round 2.
I think Ichigo will come out with the win...it seems fairly obvious at this point.
The power scaling in Bleach now seems completely out of whack. Ichigo can fight on par with the 6th Espada, gets wasted by the 5th Espada, and is now going to fight (and more than likely defeat) the 4th Espada...goddamn it.

It's almost Goku-esque how he's growing stronger eh?. Only there's no hyberolic time chamber/gravity machine. Everytime he inches to death, he gets an inexplicable power boost. Just...well who are we kidding here, he's just getting power without reason. Oh well.
I also think he'll most likely win. I doubt we'll be seeing Ichigo being knocked down and healed again, or else I'll just laugh. I'm more interested in seeing how powerful the 3 with Aizen are, as well as their abilities/personalities.

I spy with my little eye...The first plot progression in 50 chapters!
Haha, I whole-heartedly agree.
Nearly 90% of the entire Hueco Mundo/Rescue Orihime arc consisted of fight after fight with barely ANY plot progression whatsoever. I'm as much of a shonen fan as the next guy but there was hardly any substance when looking at this arc as a whole.
Surprisingly, Ichigo seems to have forgotten about his friends back in Karakara Town and his family. Although it is explained that the entire populace of Karakara Town are safe from the carnage about to ensue, I suppose we can argue that Ichigo is just so focused on saving Orihime (I mean that's why they went to Hueco Mundo in the first place).
Now who thinks that although the captain ranks have been cut in half AND it is stated clearly that everyone in Karakara is "asleep" and moved away from the fight...the Vaizards along with Urahara, Ichigo and Ishida's father will be making some well deserved appearances because I sure as hell don't think they'd be susceptible to a "sleeping" kidou (or whatever the hell they used to knock everyone out).
And while Ichigo's powers seem to manifest and rise...quite dramatically I do hope Kubo at least attempts to add a spice of reasoning as to why he is getting stronger in such a small amount of time. While we can note that he can hold his Hollow Form for a longer duration of time during his fight with Grimmjaw, I hope there is some sort of explanation as to how Hollow/Vaizard powers can increase drastically or something like that.
I guess the only snippet of information we can hang on to in order to explain another power increase in Ichigo (if Kubo will even bother to extrapolate on it) will be Nameless'/Hollow Ichigo's promise of "returning." While his Hollow side did concede to be the Horse, that doesn't mean he won't find another opening to seize control nor is he done lecturing Ichigo on how to fully utilize his full potential.
Maybe we can assume that Ichigo will fight Ulquiorra alone, get his keester whooped and everyone will come to the rescue. When Ichigo argues that this is HIS fight, perhaps Renji, Ishida, Chad, and Rukia will argue that they ALL are in this together and snuck into Hueco Mundo for the same reason. With this promise to rescue Orihime intact, that may allow for a multi-man fight against Ulquiorra. The captains may be thinking of a way to escape Hueco Mundo in the meantime (at least I hope someone tries to figure out how to get out of Hueco Mundo haha).
And on a final note...my battle predictions
Who thinks Kyoraku (captain with the pink Kimono) will end up fighting the Espada who teleported/Sonido'ed Orihime to Aizen. Both the Captain and Espada seem to share the same carefree/laidback attitude so I get the feeling they will most likely end up fighting one another.
It will also be interesting to see Tousen v. Komomura and perhaps the big wolf will get his chance knock Tousen back to his senses.
Matsumoto and Kira v. Gin would also be a nice prediction because of the whole idea of Gin's own subordinate and perhaps his "love" interest fighting him in order to maybe get a clear answer as to why he is following Aizen and/or try to bring him back to the side of Soul Society
Aizen v. Yamamato seems almost imminent. I'm sure the old man is heavily P.O'ed at Aizen for betraying Soul Society.
Soifon v. the female Espada would be an interesting fight to watch. While we know nearly nothing about the female Espada's powers, we know Soifon is always itching for a good fight. And who knows, that female Espada has the same skin tone as Yourichi...so she might be into her too (haha maybe not)!
I suppose that's all the battle predictions I can make for now. I get the feeling a Vaizard will butt into some of these fights AND is it just me or did Kubo completely forget about that Wonderwice character. Remember that..."special" arrancar that fought Urahara. I think he's gonna be lurking around the fight area even though Aizen did not call him.
Okay well these are all my random thoughts as to what's happening on Bleach right now. Feel free to pick it apart or point to areas of interest. As always, it's great to see that this thread is still alive and kicking ^^!

bout karakura town, they already said that they are gonnas transfer the people of karakura town to another town since things are gonna get nasty...
True, BUT don't you think that explanation seems TOO vague to think EVERYONE has been transported out of Karakara Town. While we can agree that Don Kanonji won't be saving anyone from an Espada, I think the Vaizards along with Urahara won't be leaving town so easily.
The Vaizards have been able to mask their presence from Soul Society AND we know they have an Underground base, aside from their above ground Warehouse. I'm sure Hachi's barrier was able to nullify any kidou/techniques Soul Society used to get all the normal citizens out of the town.
Ichigo's dad can also be a good character to bank on in terms of breaking up a fight BUT I can see him not appearing since he has his little girls to look after.
So yeah, what I'm just trying to say is:
While Yamato clearly stated that everyone who was in Karakara Town have been evacuated, there may be some denizens that want to stay for the "party."

Wow...um...interesting chapter.
So we learned that...
1) Shinji, Love, and Rose used to be Captains(5th Division, 7th Division, and 3rd Division, respectively).
2) Hiyori was a seated officer.
3) Aizen was Shinji's Vice-Captain.
4) Aizen appears to have been scheming something from very early on (the look he gave Urahara)
5) Urahara apparently wasn't a Captain for very long, considering the fact that he said he had left Soul Society a century ago, and this story is taking place a century ago.
6) There's a Zero Division called the Royal Guard.
Tenchi Masaki
03-28-2008, 11:13 PM
There was also a panel featuring Kenji (not sure of his name, I know it starts with a K, but he's the Vaizard that utilizes a knife as his zanpakutoh and was the 2nd person that was rotated to fight Hollow Ichigo) in what seems to be a captain coat. If my eyes aren't deceiving me, his coat is tattered like Zaraki's so...perhaps maybe he was the newly appointed captain of the 11th Squad?
While I am antsy for all the fights, I suppose a flashback story isn't so much of a letdown. It will be interesting to see how the Vaizards were created and perhaps why Urahara left Soul Society.
A personal assumption of mine, and just purely thrown out for fun:
I predict Ichigo's father was formerly a member of the Royal Guard...if not the son of the "King" of Soul Society (making Ichigo the rightful heir to Soul Society).

I really wanted to see battle this chapter >_< but I suppose a trip down the negative hands of time isn't so bad. The royal guard existing was an absolute given but interesting that it's the Zero Division and that you can get promoted into it, seemed like useful information to Aizen (that scab).
Some general stuff...
The souls that go to hell, are they watched over by a Gotei 13 type thing too?
Shouldn't Ichigo be killing all arrancar he runs in to? They're corrupted souls that still need 'saving' wouldn't it be better just to send em off to soul society? On that note, why can we have 'good' arrancar? Ok, just because they now have human appearances shouldn't really change their nature as hollows... should it?

anyways...
they were saying that in the april arc,
there will be a new appointed captain of the 3rd division...
his name is Shūsuke Amagai
-Shūsuke Amagai is the new captain of the 3rd Division, set to be introduced in an anime-exclusive arc to begin in April. He somewhat resembles Shunsui Kyōraku, having an unkempt appearance, though his clothes are more ordinary. He also has a similar attitude, being bright, lively and unpretentious. He carries two weapons: his zanpakutō, which he wears to his side in the standard fashion, and a claymore-like weapon held-up by a loose-hanging brown strap
and then a new third seat(i think?)
Makoto Kifune(3rd seat of the 3rd division)
Makoto Kifune, introduced with Amagai in the April arc, is much like Nanao Ise (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nanao_Ise), calm and collected compared to his less serious captain. He wears the standard shinigami uniform with a purple sweater underneath and purple-rimmed glasses.
anyways....kurotsuchi mayuri has been an exile before??or sort of an exile cause he was detained in a prison they call "the maggot's nest"
this special unit was under urahara kisuke until he left the second squad......since he became the 12th division captain

So the Bleach filler arc has begun...what's everyone's thoughts on it?
Compared to the Bounto Arc, this one seems more interesting, although the new opening hints at "ninja" like enemies which don't look too creative. Oh well, I don't mind so long as the story itself is well developed and doesn't destroy the main plot line.
What I'm more curious to see is not Amagai's Bankai but HOW EXACTLY DOES ICHIGO AND COMPANY GET BACK INTO THE REAL WORLD/SOUL SOCIETY!?!?
I'm going to watch intently on how they weave Ichigo, Rukia, Renji, Chad, Ishida, and Orihime back into the real world when they're basically all near death in Hueco Mundo (in the anime timeline, but for those that have been keeping up with the manga they know the outcome of the fights). Seriously now, are they gonna just magically stop the plot line of the Hueco Mundo arc, rip everyone out of that place and teleport them back into the real world?
Haha, if they manage to bring everyone back into the mix in a pretty feasible way then I'll watch the rest of the arc instead of shoving it aside and waiting for these sets of fillers to end.
On a Sidenote:
I really like the new opening, hopefully someone can screencap some of the images (like Rukia and Orihime in the beginning) and turn them into wallpapers ^^!

Your right... it would be pretty difficult to link the fight in Heco Mundo... the writers of the anime would have to tweek the story quite a bit any the way things ar looking may just end up straying from the manga story....

Okay so I watched this week's Bleach episode...
And I would assume the writers got an advanced leak as to what NBC was doing with Scrubs' Series Finale and decided to just mimic what the writers did.
Basically if any of you are a fan of NBC's "Scrubs" and watched Thursday's "Series Finale" then you will understand my comparison.
Anyways, what I'm trying to say is that Bleach this week WAS somewhat interesting (probably due to the new characters) but it seems that the writers made no attempt whatsoever as to how Ichigo and company are back in the real world. I suppose this is a stand alone arc that is COMPLETELY void of the main storyline. Ishida and Chad seem to have maintained their powers and Orihime is back in the mix. Tatsuki isn't angry at Ichigo anymore even though she had him by the collar last time they were together. Everyone else seems to be functioning normally (Ichigo's dad, Kon, the other classmates) so the comic relief is present.
While the Bounto Arc was a bit lukewarm (it had its ups and downs) at least it was woven into the Bleach mythos and brought us some extra "anime-only" characters in the form of Rin-rin and the other Mod-Souls. By the looks of this arc it's extremely difficult to determine WHERE in the storyline this would fit. The Bounto Arc is RIGHT after the Soul Society arc and BEFORE the Arrancar arc...this one is just in a whole other dimension.
While I'm happy that Ishida and Chad have their new powers and could possibly be involved in some of the future fights, it just bugs me that the writers made no attempt to weave this arc into the Bleach storyline and just chose to plug in Ichigo into the mix and judging from his comment about Ishida's bow he retains all his memories from the "Rescue Orihime" arc (the whole bug spray joke).
This does not really bug me because IT IS filler so it has NOTHING to do with the storyline, but just comparing it to the Bounto arc at least it attempted to build a continuing storyline in Bleach rather than a sudden stop in the action and the start of fillers.
So while I will probably continue watching Bleach to see what this filler arc is all about it's dissappointing that this story fits no where into the Bleach timeline. I would MUCH rather have the writers keep Ichigo and company in Hueco Mundo and have some members from Soul Society investigate this whole "princess" issue. Maybe have Hitsuguya, Matsumoto, etc. return as transfer students to investigate in the real world and have Ichigo's classmates (Tatsuki especially) question them as to their orange haired buddy's whereabouts. MEANWHILE, Urahara's absence can indicate that he is currently working on the gateway to Hueco Mundo so that Captain Class Shinigami can enter at full power (a fact stated by Kenpachi in the manga).
Oh well, being a fan of Bleach I'm stuck with whatever they throw at me so *cheers* to the new filler arc...hopefully all the filler characters will be killed/exiled so we don't have to worry about them messing up the existing storyline. It's gonna be hilarious seeing how they're going to return to the main storyline AFTER the filler. I guess they'll just pick up where it left off, Noitora will come and own Ichigo and then Kenpachi arrives to save the day and NEVER mention the events of the filler again.
Alright, that's enough ranting from me. Go ahead and chew me up if you so choose.

Your reply is over one year late. And that Chapter is...old.
Anyway, I have been impressed with neither the anime or manga recently.
The anime has gone into a poorly done filler arc, after giving us mediocre animation purely so they could amp up the final Ichigo vs. Grimmjow fight.
The manga has been pretty much moot for a long time, just fight after fight, covered with "Here's my super technique!" "Well here's mine!" "Well then here's my super-awesome technique!" "Well then here's mine!". And finally when there was some actual development for the first time since last autumn, they cut into this prelude thing. Sure, the prelude thing is interesting, but they cut it into where Ichigo and Ulquiorra are about to fight, and the Soul Society Captains are about to fight Aizen, Stark, Halibel, and that old man. They really managed to kill off the suspense factor.

It's Kubo's way of saying, "Hey everybody, let's have a character development arc before all the exciting stuff! Don't you want to know why everyone hates each other!?!?"
Seriously, did the authors of Bleach and Naruto make a secret pact to start their flashback arcs at the same time???
If any of you are keeping up with Naruto, it's going through a "Flashback" arc as well. While I share the same sort of interest as I do with the Bleach "Flashback" arc and Naruto "Flashback" arc it's just irritating that they halted the action for an "educational" walk through memory lane.
I seriously thought this filler arc had potential but after seeing this week's episode it's clear to me that the writers for the anime are making no effort to make this story as inclusive to the Bleach Universe as the Bounto Arc was.
If things keep going down this road (I'll still be reading the manga but the anime is up in the air) then I'll have to turn my head towards the other Shinigami anime out there:
Soul Eater
That anime is looking more and more appealing as each week progresses. I know the two series are completely different and I've already watched the first three episodes, just trying to make a joke with the whole Shinigami theme haha, if you have the time check it out. Its PURE shonen with the fighting, fan service, and "power-ups."
um I have a question about bleach.
the death gods are already dead. so how come they can die once more? this applys to all souls.
where do they go?
soul society IS the afterlife so what happens next?
can someone please explain?

...it'll be a DREAM!!! mwahahaha! Yes, Ichigo wil randomly wake up at Orihime's feet (after defeating Grimmjow) and then they will continue with the entire, "Alrighty then, let's get you back to the real world, baby," flip her over his shoulder (because the hand holding thing at the end of 167 was LAME...), and then Grimmy will get pissed, the get pwned by Nnoitra, and then, you know the story, ANOTHER battle will begin....
...yes, having it be some random "I just passed out" dream would be fine, because then it essentially NEVER HAPPENED in the story at all...just like every filler episode of every anime should be!!! :p

Yeah, which explains why Shinji had said that they knew about what Aizen was doing long before the others did. It also gives a decent explanation for how they became "Vaizards".

Holy crap it's plot development.
Seriously though, I'm up for an Ichigo - Ulquiorra rematch (even though Ichigo will probably be inexplicably stronger now and stand a better chance). Trying to figure out what Aizen meant by the battle being over "without a finger being lifted". Unless that's a reference to something I've just plain forgotten after this mini Pendulum arc.

Yeah, I'm for an Ichigo - Ulquiorra rematch too. I was a little disappointed with the dialogue, Ulquiorra doesn't usually say much and he opens with "are you scared?" gah. My take on the Aizen line is twofold; that he thinks the Espada with him are enough to defeat the captains or that either way he needs this battle to happen as some sort of diversion thing. Who's protecting Soul Society right now?

Alot of people are think that this is all a diverstion, Aizen using his Zanpaktou's special ability on the Goten 13 while he is off the SS. who knows as this might be the case and the vizards might (i hope) intervine and try to stop Aizen from entering.

Im sure they care to some extent, they were all previous captains and co captains.
I believe Ichigo will be stronger on this next fight. More and more red lines appear on his mask the more he uses it, infact almost the whole (his) left side is now red. I dont see much room for another line, I wonder if this will be some kind of turning point for the mask usage? Also, I dont see any red marks on the other vizards masks.

Sorry for not responding in this forum in a while!
Okay, so enough of the formalities and more Bleach Discussion.
Is anyone a little disappointed about Soifon challenging a...Fraccion?
I was really looking forward to a Soifon v. Hallebelle fight. My assumption is that Yourichi will be duking it out with the femme fatale Espada.
And as always, Kubo leaves us hanging at the end of this chapter when everyone is getting ready to rumble!
So if Kubo follows his traditional pattern...he's going to switch things up next week. While I wouldn't mind a retreat back to Hueco Mundo with Ichigo v. Ulquiorra I want to see more character development with all the people we haven't gotten to know so well back in Karakara town!
If we get taken to the Ichigo v. Ulquiorra fight next week I guess the good thing about that is being able to finally see Ulquiorra's resureccion and its abilities. Plus, since Ulquiorra is more powerful than Grimmjow and Ichigo was pretty much on par with Grimmjow, are we going to see a power increase or "new ability" emerge?
Just my thoughts on this recent chapter. So far though Bleach has been very satisfying, especially the Pillar battles. Kira's fight was just awesome, he just earned himself a new fan after I read that chapter.

He had built up suspense when he showed Ichigo and Ulquiorra facing of at the end of a chapter in....June? Late May?
As I have been for the last year or so, still very disappointed in Bleach. Kubo Tite has been making promises he just can't keep.
Most Captains still aren't battling. The Vaizards coming for their "payback" still haven't shown up...or done anything really important to the plot. Ichigo is still not fighting Ulquiorra. Renji, Rukia, Ishida, and Nel still haven't shown up since May. He has yet to show what happened to Tatsuki and Keigo after Urahara spotted them following Ichigo.
Kubo Tite's gotten in way over his head, and he's not a good enough writer to fix it.

True enough.
None of what's been going on lately has any weight on the "plot", if any left. They've just been a mass of disjointed battles to show off these shikai that no one really gives a damn about.
He hasn't had the resolve to kill off a single major character either , and I hate how he introduces these great hints at what could happen, and never gets back to it until you've forgotten what the hell it was about. Questions just keep mounting and no answers are being given. It's incredibly frustrating to wait this long.
I want to know more about Ichigo's dad, the releases of the top Espada, for Aizen to stop being so damn vague about what he's going to do next, and everything Xero mentioned there. It's all so much wasted potential that'll probably get thrown into the ending in some mess. I don't see how he's going to tie any of this together decently.

Well, Tousen got the jump on Grimm and lopped his arm off a little ways back(though I wouldn't base any thing on that, because Aizen didn't let it go any further). At least thats how I see it. What Kubo has done is inexcusable. Otakus should unite and send complaint letters to Jump.
He has created this vast number of characters, and then gone into depth over each one's personality and philosophy. Most of the personalities overlap too
Type-A: I shouldn't tell you my name because I'm going to kill you
Type-B: I should tell you my name so you know who killed you
Type-C: Hi, my name is ...
This isn't the "5 minutes till Planet Namek explodes" syndrome, this is the "Kubo's in an old home, but Ichigo's still 15" syndrome.
Maybe next chapter Ulquiorra can shoot a shark-shaped cero so that Ichigo can jump over it.

I'm in total agreement. I've been pissed at him for the last year and a half. He should have stopped after the Soul Society arc; he should have quit while he was ahead. Even though, there was a lot of faults to his writing and developement and characters, but in the 2-2.5 years since then, he's only succeeded in amplifying these faults to a great magnitude.
I stopped watching the Bleach anime over a year ago, and I'm only keeping up with the manga because I like the artwork, and I figure I've been reading it this long I might as well know how it ends. Alas, I don't think it will be ending any time soon.

You know, the anime has caught up to the story real quickly. You have to understand that about 1 episode in the anime covers about 10 chapters. That is, the last few episodes have basically covered almost an entire year of manga. This is due to the fact that a manga chapter can just show facial expressions and a monologue to last months, were as it only will fill 5-10 minutes in an anime episode without boring you to tears.
I think the next thing they will cover should be a long flashback to when Urahara was a fresh captain and Aizen was only a vice-captain.

I think going back to history during the time when Urahara was a captian is pretty interesting. I have always been wondering who he is and how he can be so knowledgable to the extend that he knows how to help solve difficulties for others. Recalling the black cat lady and Ichigo, as well as many others from Soul Society, for example, have been seeking help from Urahara in the present time. Now, I start to understand what he can do, why he is behaving in certain ways and who he is.
I dont read the manga, so I'm only referring to what I watch on the TV series. It is definitely a good anime to watch. :)

But everything in that arc was stuff we had already learned at different points in the story. The only thing we didn't know what that Urahara had freed Mayuri Kurotsuchi from a mental facility. It was just a visual-retelling of all the stories we'd heard up until then. Kind of pointless.

i dont think its pointless, i think its different to imagine what it looked like based on what youve heard or come to understand than actually seeing it. I liked seeing it in both the manga and the anime. Like you said we didnt know that urahara had freed mayuri and we didnt know how the vizards became vizards lol so i think it was a good thing.

He looked strikingly similar to Ulquiorra in my opinion. Even his physique seemed to resemble Ulquiorra's more than it usually does.
Anyway, I've always considered Bleach a little on the predicable side, but now it's just getting ridiculous. I hope things start getting a bit more..creative.

I agree. Though for a while the story won't get t0o crazy, because a lot of fights are lined up. That said the vizoreds haveyet to enter the current fray - and there are all the releases of the top 3 espada to enjoy, not to mention hopefully a few bankais we havent yet seen.
Still, fingers crossed - a new story twist of greater than about 5 degrees please....

That is exactly what I was thinking after reading the last chapter, seems like no matter what there will be a new more powerful version of ichigo it will never stop first shikai, bankai, mask version, vizard (controled masked version), bankai/vizard, now this new bad *** thing. It never stops.
By the time we see the final version of ichigo a swipe of his arm will blow away half of the freakin universe.

Ichigo didn't use it on Ulquiorra. He used it on his mask, to forcibly remove it. Pay attention to the two panels closely. In the first one, his arm is fully extended toward the ground, ready to fire at Ulquiorra. In the second, it is next to his face, from a straight-on point of view, and the action lines in the shadows all converge on his mask. Kubo just wanted everyone to think he hit Ulquiorra, that's why nothing else was shown at the end. The next chapter is going to come, and he's going to be like "Surprise!"...well...that's if he doesn't skip over to another fight or something.
Kubo Tite's doing the same crap as always. Ichigo's consciousness comes into play, and he rips off his mask. Same thing happened against Byakuya, and I believe against the Vaizards as well, when he lost control during his training with them.

Ok As you can see from my name I love Hollow Ichigo. However Come the crap on. Battle Senquence
Ichigo* Getusga tenshou, Bankai, Flash step= Burn
Opponent* Release some unknown power twice= Hole in Ichigo's chest
Ichigo* Hole in chest destroys soul chain, and releases HALF the abilties of Hollow Ichigo= Burnned Arrancer
------------------
Real world
Aizen*This is boring Bankai=EVEYRONE BUT CAPTAIN COMMANDER, UKITAKE, KYORAKU, UNOHANA OWNED
Urahara* Bankai, Super Benihime, Vivard power= Blow up everything
Ichigo returns, and owned everyone end of story
Also if im wrong correct about the following comment.
Naruto, and Ichigo. The same people. Both with something very powerful inside. When anger, or death appraoches power activates. Some who they control it, and get to Super Saiyan 100000000000000. This is why I stopped watching naruto, and now its happening to BLEACH. WHy Why must everyone get more powerful for no reason. CANT SOMEONE PLEASE JUST DIE ALREADY. Hopefully its Kon.
Also something I just thought of. Isshin, and Uryuu's father have yet to join the battle. That is what im waiting on.
Both* Bankai, Quincy power= Destruction of mankind as we know it.
Effect afterward* Naruto, and Ichigo fight each other over spilled ramen.
CANT SOMEONE PLEASE JUST DIE ALREADY. Hopefully its Kon.

I agree with the 2nd bit - 2 seriously cool, and I reckon underdeveloped characters
As to the 1st bit, well they are both somewhat inspired by goku, I agree, but bleach was pretty good earlier on for 'not much faffing and at least moderate restrictions on powering up'. But I agree, the manga does appear to be slowing down in recent chapters, but im guessing thats cos this is a somewhat climactic battle. Hopefully itll speed up and flow nicely through the 'real world' fights.
Still, I think turn back the pendulum worked better in the anime, so hopefully this stuff will too. Am I being over-optimistic?

So the captains don't have their limits on. They're losing. Now the Vaizards are going to come and save the day. Shinji will probably end up going to save everyone from Yammy and meet up with Ichigo.

I'm hoping that Yammy's "I'm so h4x I'm Espada 0" is just a massive bluff, otherwise it's way too corny for a series that has already produced fields of the stuff.
What's interesting is that Yammy almost died. It seems like unreleased Yammy is the weakest yet released Yammy is the strongest. I like it simply because it's a kick in the face to all the uiabu's who think strongest must always have the Sesshoumaru/Byakuya/Itachi archetype. The thing is, if Yammy is the strongest then they should all pretty much die. Even if Ichigo goes Super Vaizard, it wouldn't seem right for him to be stronger than the strongest Espada...
... what am I saying? Nothing ever seems right in Bleach. Kenpachi got 10x strong just by holding a sword with two hands...

My question is if Yammy is now the strongest, whose going to beat him? Everyone in Hueco Mundo is either way to weak, or really badly injured. Plus, if Yammy is the strongest, why did they leave him behind and not use him to kill everything in the human world?

Because Kubo Tite is a crappy writer, and made that up on the spot, obviously. He'll just give someone SSJ4 when the time comes, and then they can beat him.
New chapter: Hitsugaya could not have used this attack during any of the previous times in which he got his rear end handed to him? Considering he has yet to not get his rear kicked in a fight yet, you think it might have come up...
tsujigiri15
05-29-2009, 05:57 PM
I dunno about all this Tite bashing. I mean, Yammy isnt necessarily the most powerful espada. I thought it might be that his release makes him more powerful than stark unreleased; cos for him (given that Ichigo cut his arm off with one swing of tensa zangetsu and Yoruichi beat him to a pulp bare handed) that would be a drastic increase in power - the espada unreleased seem to get expontially stronger with their numbers. So he would still be tough, but nothing too weird would have to happen to beat him. But it would make a good fight for Unohana - who is meant to be really strong right? - thats long been implied.
Also, like everyone else, cant wait to see what happens when the vizored turn up.
But yes, I often do wonder how far in advance some of bleach is planned. In the anime, that was one good thing about (especially the 2nd and IMO better) filler arc. The story was built up coherently over the arc, with no obvious 'changes of plan'. Though you could say the same about Aizen - Im sure from the word go he was a traitor even if his overall goal wasnt yet considered

Kubo Tite has little to no involvement with the anime; that's something entirely separate from him. The only thing he works on is the manga. I give him full credit for the artwork, since he does it with no assitants and still maintains fantastic quality, but he is a terrible writer. The story is as bland and predictable as can be.
I was very disappointed with this last chapter. 5 pages wasted on some pointless goofy pages, more of Soi Fon's vice-captain running, around, and then Soi Fon's Bankai attack. I actually got to the last page, thought "wait, that can't be it, I must have viewed through them wrong". I went back and discovered that I had read all 19 pages, yet it only felt like 10.

Ive had the same thing with the last few chapters, when its been the cataclysmic showdown. But as you say, theyve been showing down for far too long. I suppose at least in terms of story significance this is pretty major; afterall - everything from Aizen's deflection onwards was leading up to this. And I dont think it can be too many more issues before the 'top 3 espada versus the remaining captains' concludes.
Stark 'Lone Ranger' Linette - thats vaguely comical too. I mean I often wondered why someone for a bankai didnt just pull out a huge minigun and obliterate their opponent... Do you reckon he has a 2nd stage again?

The constant fighting is getting to me, I agree with many that it's getting like DBZ. No real plot development just a lot of head bashing, copious amounts of blood gushing about, and "I art more powerful than thou! Super infinity transform! I will act like I'm struggling against you for two episodes and then I will keeeel you with one hit!"
Not that I mind that, but c'mon, watching 10 eps just to get through a single battle puts you to sleep. Not to mention that at the beginning of every ep there's a recap of what's happened that takes like 10 minutes.
I don't read the manga, but from what you all are saying it's about the same.

I think Vizards were going to place really really slowly. As said: Hero always arrives late. :D I think Vizards just waited for the moment to show up and say some legendary phrases like Hirako said: Long time no see, Aizen. And now they look like heros, who came to save Soul Society in the moment of despair :D. But I don't really think Vizards will kill Aizen. Soul Society King should move his butt to Earth and kill Aizen. Or maybe he is too lazy to come himself? Well nevermind. Now we just have to look what our "Heros" will do to Aizen. :D

I really hope they do fight Aizen, the Vizards don't get to do much. I can't help wondering what every body elses reaction will be to seeing the Viazards though, like when Kyoraku sees Lisa, since he thought she was dead.

And yet again they needed the whole chapter to show that Vizards returned!!! And for them to say hello. Nice isn't it?
However about anime I'm looking forward to see Bleach in the beach :D

One page for a group pose, one page for each Vaizard kicking some rear, two pages of Shinji confronting Aizen.
One Piece just packed more content into one chapter than Bleach has had in the last 3 months.

I can't help but think that Shinji's going to get owned by Aizen. He's being to cocky I think.

Of course he is. That's how Bleach works. The Vaizards have always seemed like a very powerful force, and we just got a chapter full of them kicking some serious Menos Grande butt. It's just a set-up to make Aizen seem all the more powerful when he smashes Shinji & Company down.
Then they'll need another trump card, which they'll probably find just when they need it.

Hmm.. I thought maybe we should discuss latest manga? :D Well they didn't move too much, but I liked the argument between Hitsugaya and Hiyori :D

I thought the Hitsugaya - Hiyori argument was pointless, give me more battling! Bleach seriously needs to go faster, let's petition for a double chapter update lol *silently weeps*

New chappies out. For those who haven't read it:
Geeze, that was too simple. The god of Hueco Mundo is killed at the cost of an arm. Still no deaths...

I don't understand. If Barragan was a God of Hueco Mundo, then who is Stark, to get a position, greater than God's?

I still think it's stupid.
'OHAI, I throw mai arm in ur belleh. Now u self destruct.'
Seriously, couldn't it have been a lot better =/ All that potential for a nasty villain and it's destroyed at the cost of an arm.

The fights always get interrupted with some sort of greater evil type thing. Or a "Oh we'll be back, we just don't want to deal with you right now."

This whole battle in Karakura Town is getting on my nerves. Its been going on for months, and barely anything has actually happened. There is just to much going on. Stick to one fight, make it awesome, then finish it. So far, none of the fights have been very entertaining, they are basically just firing ultimate attacks at each other and failing. And so far, the Vizards don't even seem to be that great. Just a little better than the captains were.

I agree but after Hachi's battle it seems as if the Vizards are going to kill Harribel and Stark in turns, which Kubo seems to love to do, and then actually get on to fighting Aizen and Gin while Tousen and Wonderwiess' battles get going strong.

I call bullcrap once again on Kubo Tite.
It has been stated before that Aizen was the creator of all the Arrancar, as they need to be created using the Hyougoku.
How, then, was Espada Duo an Arrancar before Aizen arrived? The answer? Impossible.
Thanks for the plothole, Kubo!

Well now im interested now in the Fighting.
Hachi owned God.
But get this is he is the GOD of Hueco Mundo then how did he come to call Aizen Lord?? Just proving more how much stronger Aizen is then the Espada. Think this.
Aizen-Strongest
Hachi, Soifon-weaker then Barragan, weaker then Starrk, weaker then Aizen.
Toshiro-Seems to be stronger then Tia, weaker then Starrk, Got owned by Aizen.
Ukitake, Kyoraku- Both currently owned by Espada, Kyoraku about to take a direct attack, and still not dead. Ukitake status unknown grew careless, and wasn;t paying attention. Maybe as strong as Aizen.
And get this Kyoraku was ready to use his bankai, Ukitake stopped him letting him know he should use it with so many people watching. Meaning his bankai is very strong or it kills you by looking at him. Lol
Unohana-Through stats she is the THRID STRONGEST PERSON IN BLEACH!!!! Even to the point where even Aizen was only worried about her. She has yet to even rise a finger to fight. She can supress he reaitsu to the point of being able to stand right before two of the strongest captains, Ukitake, and Kyoraku, and they both didn;t notice her. Meaning she must be quoite as powerful as I beilieve. She is way stronger then Tosen, or Gin.
Gin- Unknown. It is known that he was able to kill a 3rd seat at a young age. Meaning he had to be of Lit level, meaning now he could be just as strong as Aizen, or Kyoraku
Tosen-sucks
Ichigo- Stronger the Tosen, weaker then Aizen, no chance against Gin.
Hollow Ichigo-Stronger then everybody with or without going full hollow.
This is my current power chart. Aizen at the top with Unohana close by. Most of the espada or dead but four of them. We have yet to see if Yammy is stronger then Starrk or not.

I think it's fake. Because the next manga will definitely not involve anything like this.

It's fake, as Aizen is no longer on his throne, but in the Material World along with Gin, Tousen, and the top 3 Espada (excluding everyone's favorite plothole, Yammy).

Bleach: Memories of Nobody is out in english. You can get it at pretty much any DVD retailer (Best Buy, FYE, etc.), and [Adult Swim] will be airing it either this saturday or next saturday.

I don't think Yammy is a plot hole at all. The 10 transforming into a 0 is representative of how when unreleased he is the weakest, but when released he is the best. Most fans just find it annoying because when they see a fat character they want him swept under the rug. That's why the main character of every anime is skinny.

I'm just glad the espada are finally dead/dying! Kyoraku's shikai is an interesting one though <spoiler>it makes childrens' games (often built on pretty grisely principals) real</spoiler>
I like how the 2 nice old captains (him and Ukitake) have really nasty, warped shikai too!
I think the pace has started to pick up in the last couple of issues (albeit only from techtonic plate drift to glacial drift). Still, it has to be a good sign right?
