i love roleplaying people w/ twisted and depressing pasts.... love being the underdog. so usually i'll be a demon or a fallen angel. of course they're ALWAYS reeeally strong, dont get me wrong; i dont have a God Complex, i always give them a huuge flaw. i cant stand characters who are 'perfect'

If we are talking pen-and-paper RPG's, either a barbarian or a fighter. I'm not good with magic classes, besides, I need the Hit Points, since I seem to have this 'gift' of falling into traps. If the room has a trap, there's a big chance I'm the one who sets it of.

When role playing (meaning little to no combat) I usually go for a wide variety, no real favourites.

I enjoy being vaguely pyromanical and suicidal or totally reserved and cautious, but never anything in between.

I always seem to play a Dark Elf in race, and some sort of summoning class like Necromancers. Except in Morrowind, where I play a Rogue-Mage who can melee, mostly because Morrowind's offensive magic is too weak to rely on.

Eh, depends on what the paper & pencil RPG is. For roleplaying (Id est, internet roleplaying), I use a wide-variety of characters - just depends on what type it is.
