What's your fav wallpaper theme?

Discussions about wallpapering is good, right? Of course it is!

What is your favorite wallpaper theme? In other words, what's your style?

I LOVE to use photos. I think photography and computer graphics can make for an incredible combination. There is just something about the combination of real and machine created that is fasinating.

I also like to make minimalist wallpapers. Although now that I have a large desktop (1680x1050. woooo!) I may try something more busy.

I like to make scenery walls the most, however I still lack skill to do them properly, so I've dropped quite a few midway. I have far more unfinished than finished ones (at least in the last year) <_< Usually, I get inspiration from scenery I've seen in photos/real life or anime/manga/other scans and sometimes shoot stocks (and use them) just for walls.

i like dark wallpapers (or at least they make most of my completed walls ^^)
combined with grungestuff , contrast, colors and such ...that´s maybe why
i always tend to overload my walls a little ^^°

Well most wallpaper themes I create are normaly Darker...normaly I like to dipict abstract visions...were there is no ground no up no direction but yet it has a certain focus...I just think having it like that makes it seem malluable...you can make it whatever you want through your own perception...I normaly use brushes for walls with my own filter and brush tip settings but I like to play around with certain photographs for certain types of focuses...like though Ill have a character...ill take a mountain and make it a window.

I really like tech looking wallpapers with high contrast, something that really stands out. I also really love dark grungy walls too. I'm not into the really happy-go-lucky wallpapers. [with the occasional exception] It seems fake for me. I like the themes that express "reality"...It's just a me thing.

oh, forgot to mention ... sometime it's quite interesting to try imitating other wall styles ... like once I did with my "Kanon" walls where I tried to imitate Pooky's style (Pooky should remember them xD)

I LOVE imitating styles! It's a ton of fun and you get to learn a lot of skills.

That's why I always ask someone else to do it for me. Usually there are people around that will recolor. *coughXiancough*

I make tons of wallpapers, but I never post them. I love including song lyrics, or poems that I have written myself.

Also, anything with a retro feel to it.
