I'm still in the process of extracting the character, but I thought while i was motivated, I might as well get comments on the background behind her. I find that as soon as I'm done extracting the character I lose the motivation on the wall ;_; I have like 2374983 unfinished ones. So Comment away on whats around her ^^.

Ou I like the idea!

I like the colors and the falling "discs" or Records that are on the right hand side but something about the big one irks me... it seems... off or something to me.
Maybe it's the outer edge at the top or something. I'm not quite sure ;_;

But I like the look to it... and the character - which will be cool once it's finished extracting.

Maybe it's the text on the record... hmm.

It's pretty cool but, the background is sooo dark that the character's pants blend right in. I dunno exactly what you could do, but you could just lighten the background up a bit and that way there would be a difference between her pants and the rest of the wall.

updated after extracting character. I am going to fix her pants tho, vector them so that they're not grainey. Also fixed the record. Anyone else have a comment?

She doesn't look very grainy IMO, but if you want to improve it....
Overall I think your effects quite nice and the characteer is of decent quality.

I am a total failure when it comes to abstract bgs, but even though I love red, why don't you try a brighter/livelier colour scheme?

Nice concept ... but I kinda agree with Muz .... a litlte brighter version ... you may also play with clouds filter (on a new layer) and some blending options ... it may work ^_^

And ... I'd go with a bit redish glow around the char ;)

I would go even brighter still. The character is so bright and vibrant and the background is... not quite bright and vibrant. They aren't really meshing color-wise right now.

Yes, the background doesn't seem to be bright enough to match the stock. But the extraction looks very good. I, myself, am not very good at extracting images. ^^'

Hm, just some part is bugging me ... the farest left top corner ... that little glow around the disc ... either delete it, or apply the same one around the entire disc.

bah its not a glow, the disc had depth that I took out and forgot to adjust the overlay layer accordingly, haha, will fix now. Thanks wizzy

That picture is great, especially with the pants a bit darkened to blend a bit with the background. I also love the eyes, they are indeed detailed from when I zoom in, The glowish red-orange outline is what makes this picture interesting to me. The last pic you posted is pretty good. ^_^;
