I think there is still room for improvement in the wall I submitted for the contest, so here's a modified version. Tips/critiques are very welcome.

To me, the left side of the wallpaper seems a little empty. I, personally, love wallpapers with high contrast, so imo I think maybe brightening it just a tad would give it some life. ^_^

TEXT IS OVER RATED! It adds nothing to the wallpaper other than words that nobody really wants to read. I think it's fine as is.

Of course...when people start putting entire novels on their wallpapers...ugh.


And I think it looks pretty good...no flaws that I can see, at least at the proper rez.

I would add a little more contrast between the light and the fog. Bring the light out a bit more! There seems to be a sun back there somewhere...

Wow, almost looks like a real painting!That's because parts were painted on <_<

Increased brightness/contrast, added a random tower to fill space.
Edit: added a version without the ugly tower, different texturing, better bloom effect

with the tower, without the tower... either is ok. I do like the extra brightness but now I think that light in the right is a little too bright. the brighter clouds do look better, though and matches the light on his face.

yeah, both look alright although the yellow in the right is just a little too bright. You might have answered this already but did you paint the background yourself? it also looks as if Ichigo was painted also...

I'm done with the lightning, quite brighter than in the 1st post, and added wind effect. I'm starting to like my wall now.
jigglyness: I've only changed the lightning of the scan, it wasn't repainted as the desert stock.
