mhm, A new wall after really long time ....
Hm, started makikng this one in the Summer 2005 .... and finally decided to finish it ^_^;;
Hm, lets see ... yeah, I know ... wish the char was a better quality ... and revectoring it would be a hell ...
Mah, any suggestions? Was thinking of a text .... tho not sure ...

It's so beautiful it makes my eyes go blind from such magnificiant light it radiates^_^
The Bg looks looks awesome though and it blends well with the girl as she is doing her magic symbols and such. What awesome effect that I like in it is that she looks cell-shaded which really kicks the wallpaper off

Ooh, I like it, it's really good. The char image is fine enough for me, the effects I'm sure you've done to it, make it blend in nicely enough. Oh, and no text, I think text'll be too distracting, looks wonderful as it is.
dude. o_O; wow.
and you kept telling me you sucked with wallpapers.
That's nothing I could ever do. It's freakin' amazing. you should be proud of it... I can't really think of any way to improve it .... and no, no text. No Text! Lol
good job man

Why did you change your username? Also, try to upload it to the forums next time. Thanks for the thumbnail, though!
Anywho, looks fab! What exactly did you add/redo? I agree that the character is pretty low quality and looks faded. How about making it a bit lighter? Or better yet, making the skin look less gray/zombie-like? I would also accentuate the white on her skirt to make the wallpaper look more "glowy"; similar to what you did with the hair.

I agree with Pooky ^^. Sorry I couldn't give you comments on MSN earlier, you already logged off when I saw it xD. Anyway, you don't have to recolor the entire thing, although it would be nice. I really feel you need to change the color on her skin though. Easiest way is just to make a new layer, select that area, fill it with a more skin-like color, change the blending to hue, and play with the color until you get something more...alive perhaps xD. Great job wizzy, can't wait to see how this turns out n_n

Exactly! There are many ways to fix colors that doesn't include vectoring the whole thing. The quality of the image is not bad, so just a simple hue adjustment would be fine.

Actually ... it was me that made the color more zombie-like ... that it fits better with the bg ... as you see, there's lot of blue light o_O;
There's a blue color layer set at 15% transparencity ...

But it doesn't look blue... it looks grey and washed out. I would lighten her back up. Maybe use the light blue in the background as a reference.

Hm, lets see ... This is the orriginal I used for the wall. Now you can see, that the char is actually like that o_O; Lets say, she's not human ... altho, if someone knows the source of this image, can you tell me .... I'm pretty sure, that's from a game.
Anyway ... will play around with the char ...

*bump bump*
Changed a bit the color of her skin .... better now? I still kept the 10% blue color layer (among with an 20% skin color one).
Oh, also removed some stars on her ...

Much better ^^ I love the skin tone you picked, it fits fairly well, although I'd still make it more peachy than that xD. Now let's see what you can do with the rest of it :)

The skin does look MUCH better, but could you try making it a bit more peachy? Just to amuse us/prove us wrong, of course. ;)

Here you go ...
1st: skin color at 20%
2nd: skin color at 30%
3rd: skin color at 40%
I've also removed the stars ... >_>
Edit: mah, I'm still for the pale one ... <_<
Edit2: mhm, still have some problems with the perspective .... which one is better, 1st or last one (grids, on the left bottom part)?

I'm liking the third one XD, and for the perspective, I think the first one is better, although I'd angle the bricks up just a bit more.

hm, such different points of view ... it's nice to see this ^_^ ... but I can't please you ... I'll be sticking with the pale skin version (the 1st one) ...
I can't see much of difference between the skin colors on this laptop screen ... but the difference is quite visible at my homes screen ... and it was a bit too peachy in my opinion.
About the perspective .... still need to think about it ... got exactly half suggestions for the 1st one, and half for the 2nd one x_X

Those are great. I like that black and white contrast and agree with you, the 1º one is the best

mhm ... I'm calling it an end .... here's the (I hope) final version of it.
