Saber from Fate/Stay Night. Simple grid pattern that's friendly for those that have a bunch of icons on their desktops. Soft colors that don't jar the eyes. Okay, so what does she need?
BTW- where are all the vets at around here? All I see lately is a bunch of n00bs. No offense guys or anything, it's just that I haven't seen the old schoolers roaming these parts lately.

Well, I don't know what ya would call me, lol. But you sure have kept me waiting, lol. The only reason I even check this section is to see the latest works by you and I think one other Wallpaper artist.
I never even check to see if my opinon means squat, but that's not why I even give it. I know, enough with the bull.
Okay, let's take another quick look at it,,,,,,,,, hmmm,,,,,,,, ah, uh,,,,, yes, yes. Can't say I really see it lacking anything. Actually looks killer to me.
If I ever locate a free program for making wallpapers, I might have to see if you'll be my sensa, and teach me the ways of making wallpapers.

Still around once in a while, mostly lurking though Xian ^^.
Anyways, for the wally. Personally I find the background kind of bland. I'd suggest maybe trying to make an ocean scene(waves and such) to overlay(yes overlay not completely dominate) the background tiles instead of the big blobs of white. Let's just say it would be nicer if the light areas on the tiles looked sort of oceany instead of rectangular blocks lol. Although some of it looks like water, the way it's shaped and all just feels really odd. Then my pickyness with extractions xD. The piece of hair farthest left on her bangs is slightly jagged. There's a part with a lot of extra brown outline, if you can get rid of that, it'd be nice. Then there's that little piece at the bottom of her neck(nape, whatever you wanna call it) that has a tad of white outline leftover. The rest of the extraction's pretty good.
Well there's my two cents, I hope this one turns out great XD <3 Saber-chan lol.
P.S. Yes I realize this is very nitpicky, but for all those newbies that weren't here back when AW Forums was seperate, the graphics level was quite high, and the comment I just made above would probably be considered pretty average compared to some of the critique I remember XD

Please please PLEASE be picky. No one will learn otherwise.

That's what I'm screaming. BTW I hadn't forgotten this, I'm still trying to figure out a way to implement the suggestions w/out affecting the overall... chi of the wall. Erm, the flow I guess is a better word. Thinking about getting a stock photo and underlying it behind the grid pattern and dropping the opacity down a bit then playing around with some filters to see what happens. Sound good?

Woo that looks nicer. Hmm let's see...I find the background ocean still a little realistic. Maybe play around with the color balances and see if you can get it to look more anime-ish?

Wow, it looks many times better after the texture has been overlaid. Just maybe make the sand in the bg a tad brighter and it'll be ideal (edit: and fix the hair strand sticking out near the neck) <3
