Fushigi Yuugi WP [Tasuki]

Ahh... The walking on Sunshine contest for AG is finished so I thought I could put up my wallpaper here for fun and critiques.. ^_~

It's Tasuki from Fushigi Yuugi. ^^

I've already uploaded it onto AF so it'd be a waste of space to upload again so here it is.

And so you can get an idea of what I had to do to make it, here are the two pictures I had to work off of. ^_~

I swear you can't find any good quality pictures of Fushigi Yuugi characters. Especially if they aren't Miaka and Tamahome. >.O

I'll look at the wallpaper as soon as the technically off-site page shows up (yes, there are reasons why we upload here... so that we have thumbnails to look at!)

I actually tried to thumbnail it by taking the URL from the AF one, but it came out as a link anyway... o.O;

Not bad. I like the colors and the composition.

The "FASUKI" name gets lost a little bit against the bird's tail; maybe make the text some color other than black? A red like in the character's necklace, perhaps?

The character's shoulder gets lost a little bit against the bird; the character's coat is too dark - try bringing the dark blue highlights out a bit more.

The "flame" on the character's fan looks odd, more like a water smudge; I'm not sure if it works here. It looks more like fumes. Try sharpening it to give it more definition?
