Ooookay... so this is my first wallpaper I've ever made >.< Everything is done by me except the scan and the sun in the background (because that's an effect I can add so I don't count that as self made o.O). I had a hard time to get some... inspiration? In my opinion, the picture may be kinda boring because it's just the sky... grass... and such. Too bad I didn't submit this one to the "Sunshine" contest we have/had in this forum .___.
Oh well, please add a comment! ^_^

(I'm using Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8 so I can't really compare this one with a wallpaper made by photoshop... because photoshop is a lot better -_-)

About the text in the down left corner: It's my username at Minitokyo (I submitted the wallpaper there also). Just so you won't think that I stole the wallpaper from someone else.

Okay, where to start? Extraction needs a LOT of work, never EVER EVER use the magic wand. Always either use the extract filter, or the polygon lasso tool for your extraction needs. Lens flare. No. That's all I'm going to say about that. It's over used, and it's a crappy filter. Motion blur with a green color; no. There are grass brushes you can find and DL.

Over all, yes, this is a blatant first attempt, but don't worry, work on it some more, and you'll start to get a feel for what you need to do to get it 'right'. Hey, don't feel bad, we were all once making our first wallpaper. Generally, they're not that good. Generally. Why? Well, because we don't know what the heck we're doing.

For a first time, you did alright. You've shown creativity and imagination. Good on that. However, like I said- work on it... A LOT. ;) Good luck

Those red specks around her hands? I'm assuming they're supposed to be sparklies, right? ...They kinda' look like fleas, or dirty dander.. I'd remove them, somehting not really needed, or at least find some other way to sparklerize it.
Ya, the extraction could use some help, there's chunks of white and yellow all aound er. (most notably on her thighs)
Oh, and the grass, the way it is, kind of makes her like like she is really small (you know, grass being almost as tall as she is). I would suggest making it smaller, and then finding something nifty to put in the bg

Overall, its a good start, and good luck

Good one for a first time!

However as mention aboved, the extraction needs alot of work.. The edges .... well... sharp. If ur using the magic wand which isnt recommended at all.. u could try to blur the edges to blend it in with the background. Nice background too. Also the sparkles look like some kind of dust? Like scanning an image in and theres dust on it.

Well thats just my opinion since im sort of a lazy person and if im that lazy ill use the wand and blur the edges so it wont look so hard on the eyes =x (Not recommended at all)

Not bad. Only thing that bothers me is,,,, it looks like she's leaning on something, but there's nothing there. Other then that a great job for a beginner.

Hai, listen to him!! you can also extract with the normal delete brush ... by deleting the useless parts

Lens flare. No. That's all I'm going to say about that. It's over used, and it's a crappy filter.
hai ... don't listen to him!! :P ... if the lense flare is well made ... it's good. Suggestion ... insted of just using the lense flare ... draw some sun rays ;) (draw some different sized lines from one center, motion and gausain blur them ...).

Motion blur with a green color; no. There are grass brushes you can find and DL.As a note .... the defoult brushes in PS have 2 grass brushes ... you just need to play with the brushes settings for a greater effect

hm, what else ... as you can see ... the character should be supported by something ... like a wall or something ...
