It's a tie between Kisuke and Toushirou for me.

I chose Kisuke because he's a really amusing character. Also, I like Kisuke's peculiar behaviour. He sort of reminds me of another character I used to like.

Toushirou is an awesome character. One reason as to why I like him is because he's smart. Mm, and he has a cool hairstyle. <3
The need for him to protect Momo is really cute as well.

My reasoning.

1: Ishida owns. Basically. He's sardonic, cool, awkward around girls, melodramatic, he shoots a bow (I have a thing about archers) and he has a really cute crush on Orihime. Plus he hates Kurotsuchi. And so do I.

2: Do I need to explain that? Aside from MikiShin's voice *hehe* Urahara is king of cryptic secrets and silly games. He's like the court jester only with a razor sharp brain behind it all. He also is the only person who ever kept Kurotsuchi in check. Kudos.

3: Byakuya...ah, I love Byakuya, right down to his starched underwear (come on, you know they are, right?) He's principled, stiff, austere, disdainful - but he's hiding a rebel streak (marrying Hisana, adopting Rukia) and a hot temper. Plus, his blade rocks.

4/5: These two rank the same for me. Ukitake's easy to explain. He has a finger in every pie and he's always on hand where he's needed despite his own physical ailments. He's Grandpa Shinigami in some way or other, but he looks out for them. And he can call Byakuya "omae" and still live afterwards.

Kira is harder to explain. I knew I liked him but I couldn't explain why and it's still hard now even though I understand him a lot better than I did. I think it's because of all the contradictions he is. Plus the fact that deep down he really wants to do the right thing. And I love his friendship with Renji and Momo. He has a crush on Momo. Definitely.

I guess the Bleach musical also predisposed me kindly towards Kira, too. Since he's freaking hilarious in that...

I also like Rukia, Ichigo, Renji, Kyouraku, and several of the others. But those are my top five.

Anyway, when the anime aired, I was even more hooked. I love seeing my fave characters in color. Soooooo cool! Not only is Ichigo freakin' strong, he's mad nice and totally loyal to his friends. Ehh, that's hard. I like both Kuchiki Byakyua and Zaraki Kenpachi. I like Zaraki Kenpachi because of his "willing to fight", he fights for fun. Byakyua however is different than any other bleach character, so my final decision is Byakyua; he's quite strong, and I like his bankai. Also his personality is inquiring.
