February is coming up, and you know what that means...?

valentine's day!! <3 <3

The all mighty valentine's day contest is coming up and I am stumped. Last year we had a "make a wall using this image in a valentine's theme" type of contest, the image being a robotic spider (i kid you not). Being as I am kind of sick and heavily medicated, I thought it would be best to open it up to ideas so I don't give any more robotic spider ideas. ;) Any and all suggestions will be considered and you will get the credit if your idea is used.

Ugh. This is for anime wallpapers dude. Besides, that idea is skewed in the wrong direction. That and... romance? Eeehhh...

Anywho, couple comments on the ideas given. I want to stay away from collab wallpaper contests because they haven't done so well in the past. Some people are shy, new, or too busy to work with another. Also, I don't think we have any couples on here, so the poetry thing is hard. Secondly, I don't want to do series specific contests because not everyone likes the series. There are people that have refused to do a contest because they hated the series. I do like Xian's idea, but I think there could be more to it. We did have a "use this image" contest recently, after all...

Thanks for the input! This means a lot to me. I have been really sick and highly medicated so this helps me out a lot.

Maybe....the contest can just be about whoever can best express the emotion of love in their wallpaper. I mean, personally, I believe art is all about feeling. Anger? Happiness? Can you see it? Can you feel it?

Extremely basic topic that'll give the contestants a WIDE variety of options to work with, and maybe we'll get some ingenious creations or cunning ideas off of this.

as for the idea .... what about wallpapers that'd represent valentines cards? Of course, anime related valentines cards ^_^

How about: "What love means to ____" The blank being a character of your choosing. This allows for creativity and a wide range of ideas. Some characters may have an...odd...perception of love.

How about taking a song from j-pop artists (doesn't have to be j-pop/j-rock) but the wallpaper has to express the meaning of the song and Valentine...possibly include the whole lyrics into the wallpaper or just take part of the song...I know there are lots of ballads that has love in it or express caring, or the opposite about couples regretting each other...etc. I think I totally don't know where this idea is going anymore.

Why not try "Singles"?

If you have a single person in the wallpaper, you have two choices, to make him or her happy, or sad [or regretful in a way ;)]

what if we took members willing to participate's s-names and make sigi's or avi's with the people who list their family and use husband and wife or b-friend/g-friend. using characters that suite the members personalities. thank you for your time. ^^
