View Full Version : Sailor Saturn Wallpaper

Here's a wallpaper that I made of (obviously) Sailor Saturn. I know that I should've put more time and effort into it but right now I'm tired and want suggestions of where I should go with this. Constructive critisizm is allways welcome!

Honestly? Start from scratch. Find a better scan of Sailor Saturn and her damn can opener, and go from there. I'd stick with the basic premise of what you've got here; that is a dark BG with starts and a windy effect thing going... Just, yeah, put more effort into it and find another scan.

Well....knowing me...it pretty much sucks.Hate the way you put the coloring in the name SAILOR SATURN....it doesn't look good oh and work on the background.

Should I find another scan of the headshot or leave that one be?

not bad, the image on the right is kinda low image-quality tho.

The headhot is good enough, but you might want to remove the background of the headshot. Replace the image to the right instead.

it is a neat concept, but still needs some artistic work. Scrap the right image; it is too low quality. Same goes for the background. Instead, make your own starfield! There are many tutorials out there. Then, keep the headshot and move it to the right if you want to. Put some nice text (in purple, maybe cursive?) on it.

Umm, I'm getting mixed messages here...do you guys want me to find a better scan of the right image or just scrap it all together?

if you find a better scan, it may be salvaged.

Okay, here's my second attempt. I made my own starfield, found a different image for the left, removed the headshot's background, and changed the text. Anything else?

LOVE the headshot, HATE the image on the right. For starfields, there are tons of great tutorials out there! What program are you using?

*sigh* I just can't satisfy you MistressPookyChan, can I? Oh, and I'm using GIMP and Microsoft Picture It! Photo 7.0

I agree. The headshot is nice- loose the one on the right, it's... erm... yeah.

Chibi, don't be sad ^__^ remember the not written wallpapers' commandments XDD(at least for newers wallers):
1: good quality pics, not pixelated ^_^
2: focus on only one thing
3: remember that walls are to be placed on a desktop
4: simple is not bad, but only if it has a concept.
So, make the 3.o version of this wall, ok? ^_^

OK, thanks MistressPookyChan for the GIMP starfield tutorials! I made yet another try at this....I made another starfield and just completely scrapped the right-side image.
