So, what all does this need? It feels like it's missing something, but I can't figure out what... Help?

can't think of anything right away. it's pretty nice
11-22-2005, 08:42 PM
No ideas, but it looks great!

You three are nasty.....and for one thing I think this was pretty stupid...but if I was a guy I probably would've said something nasty and perverted.Too bad.

i just appreciate good art, and the person asked for thoughts so i gave mine

One- the character is very dark and grainy. I would lighten her up a bit. Use a program like NeatImage or play around with her levels in PS/PSP/whatever
Two- Is the grunge supposed to be on the wall or on her? There is some on her leg, but I would move it all against the wall.

Actually, I'm just going to dump this wall. I'm not liking the idea behind it. I thought it'd work; and who knows. Someone with more talent than me might have been able to pull off my intent better. At any rate, I do appreciate the comments and what not, but this is officially dead. I think I'm going to do something else with the scan now. Dunno yet.

I know you decided on dumping it, but I thought it was a good start, and if you want to continue it, I have a few ideas.
I like the poster idea in the bg, but there's too few, and too small. Maybe add more, and increase size, almost have it look like a collage, or a very loved wall with a lot of posters. Drop the saturation, and bring the girl to the forefront, clean her image up a bit. Of course, what is a girl doing out in public like that, we'll never know...
Anyways, if you still want to dump it, thats cool, then nevermind. Good luck.

Well, here's a second incarnation of the wall. I know that the background is extremely bland so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Spamspamspamspam Go away unless you're here to say something about the wall, please.
So anyway, I added another wall-like pattern... better? What else does this need?
11-24-2005, 03:00 AM
I like the one with the pattern better.

Still working on it; how's this version?
11-24-2005, 04:34 PM
this version is alot better than the old one a huge improvement, nice work ^.^

I dunno, I'm not finding the stock working with the rest of the image. It's the lines. The shadow lines. It makes the image just look out of place.
If you can make the wallpaper somehow work itself around that, maybe using the graphic pen or some sort, then it might work.
Otherwise, yeah, dump it.

Stock? Stock what? Sorry, but you confused me here bubba, could you clarify? I've used no stock photo if that's what you mean. It's all mostly from scratch.
11-24-2005, 11:31 PM
I'm sorry. The girl. Render. Whatever they're called these days.
11-24-2005, 11:41 PM
The scan? The scan of the girl? Is that what you mean?
11-24-2005, 11:43 PM
Yes! That's what I mean. The scan. *Punches self in gut*
11-24-2005, 11:51 PM
i like the last one better and like what that guy said (sry forgot ur name)the shadowing of the girl makes her outta place you need to add shadowing to the background too...hope this helped!:p

I liked the version with the wall design, or whatever, behind the "Lucky Strike" logo, but I think it could use some more texture, grunge brushes and whatnot. The color's good. Glad you didn't completely scrap it.
