I seen it in Japanese and English dubbing and I have to say that Japanese One Piece is better. I say that because in the Japanese storyline, it is very moving and has motivation in it.

The differences between the two are numerous and profound. I think One Piece in Japanese is the greatest anime ever, no question, whereas the dub is worth less than a blank spot on the schedule. They manage to edit out an entire Arc (Little Garden, which is where they are supposed to get the thing). Makes me mad whenever I see the dub (and don't get me started on the voices)

that's exactly how i feel..i love the jap version of one piece to pieces it's funny and enjoyable...but then you have the english version and its a total turn around...i hate hate hate hate hate hate hate sanji's voice for the english version it doesn't fit his character what so ever...i know there are alot of edits but i never really did get to see em' since i can't go 5 mins. into a dubbed version -_-

I can only watch the dub for pure jokes (laughing at the edits is funny if you are not watching it seriously), or if I am just waking up (no senses, u know). Sanji's voice is the single worst dub voice I have ever heard, and the sad thing is that Zolo's voice is the best (changing Zoro to Zolo, what's with that). Robin's voice is a close second for being the worst.

luffy...my fav. character...theres something 'bout his attitude that i juss love...he's seems so simple minded always hungry..and seems alil' clueless but when his nakama's need help he's always there...especially love the scene with nami at arlongs park when he yells out to nami....also...the fight with him and zoro...on the island with the cactus...he got really mad at zoro for beating up those guys...then says something funny but ridiculus after nami hits both of them...luffy's juss unforgettable ^^

It has not ended yet. It is still on-going. Robin does join the group after Crocodile is defeated, and stays with them throughout the Skypiea arc. In the current manga, we are learning a lot about her past, and she is trying to leave the Straw Hat Pirates, although she does not want to...lets just say she has some bad relations with the World Government. Anyway, Luffy and the gang are in the process of saving her, although she continues to say that she wants them to leave her alone and that she wants to die.

I will say it again:
She stays with them through the Sky Island arc.
They end up going to an island, and they meet a person from the World Government that Robin knows. They go to another Island. Robin disappears, Usopp leaves the Straw Hats. They have to get the Going Merry mixed, but it is too badly damaged. The Going Merry is destroyed. Robin tries to assassinate the leader of the island (the island is a large island of carpenters). Robin is seen again with some of the top secret agents of the World Government. We learn that she is actually working for the world government in secret, along with these other 4 agents. They assassinate the mayor of the island and leave. The Straw Hats and Usopp(in disguise) go to save Robin. They go to a huge military base that has 10,000 soldiers, and they are currently in the process of taking the base over.

That is very brief, and very basic.

Right now, the Straw Hats and Usopp are standing on the roof of one building, and the rest of CP9 is standing on the roof of the military base across the street.

Also, Usopp can fight good when he needs to. When he fought against Luffy, he wasn't half bad, although Luffy is still far, far, far stronger than he is.

As for my favorite villian:
1. Tashigi...my 2nd favorite character.
2. Captain Smoker...my 4th favorite character
3. Kaku (CP9)...He's just cool...
4.Biminey (was that his name?) the Hyena guy with the spring spring fruit ability
5. God Enel...for shear power.

Well, that's not quite what I meant. I meant that Smoker/Tashigi are separate from other Marines, and don't act evil, in the same way as Enel and Crocodile at least. Some Marines, such as Spandam and Ao Kiji, are evil, and Smoker/Tashigi are different from them, so they are more like "neutral".

Well, the storyline in One Piece is just as evident as something such as Naruto, Rurouni Kenshin, or Inuyasha. All these have a very vague story that is intended as nothing more than being an excuse to show the random adventures of the characters.

The characters in One Piece are much more fun, and much more likeable than those I have found in other anime (even Kakashi from Naruto). The show doesn't TRY to be overly serious, instead letting it come naturally (and if you are judging this show SOLELY based on the dub done by 4Kids, you cannot get an accurate picture about the series).

1. Goro Goro nomi...the only reason Luffy beat Enel is because he was a rubber man. That was Enel's one weakness.
2. Suna Suna nomi. We all know how bad... that one was. I did not like Crocodile, but that was one [heck] of an ability.
3. Gomu Gomi nomi. Because so far it has had two weaknesses: Ice and bladed weaponry.
4....The fruit than Mr.1 had...the one that gave him the sword ability...as a weapon collector, I love that fruit...

Okay, you made me think of something:
Remember that large underground Dome-like structure Luffy fell into in Arabasta that was full of stones with writting on them, and the walls as well? We know know that those stones are poneglyphs. Could that large structure be "The True History" that Robin is searching for? Considering it's size and the amount of writing in and on it, I believe that there is is a very high probability(upwards of 90%), that that is the True History that Robin is looking for. If one assumes this to be true, than at some point, the Straw Hats will return to Arabasta. Also, considering Bibi's large role in the series, it is safe to assume that she will eventually appear again. So, in relation to this, Pell will probably be in the series again.

I believe it was in the manga, if I remember correctly...I doubt that something like that would be put in pointlessly. It must have some kind of meaning, even if it is not the True History.

xD...That is the one question I have made no guesses on for this show. But, I suppose the name, "One Piece" may be a give away. Perhaps it is "one piece" of treasure...one that has unimaginable value...

Well, if you look back, you will see that in Alabasta (at least in anime) there are 2 poneglyphs, and Robin only finds one.

Robin's past story is much more interesting and emotional than Zoro's, in my opinion.

Well, the current episode from K-F corresponds to something like chapter 200 or 250.

I think the stairs that Kuina fell down was actually just a single step. Telling Tashigi's age is difficult, as females in anime generally fall into 2 age groups: young girls, teenage girls, and old women. Also, it is unclear (in my memory anyway) as to how much older Kuina was than Zoro. It could be a case where there is only a year difference or so. Hopefully Tashigi's past will be explained more in a later chapter. Also should be interesting to see what her and Smoker are up to.

I am interested in what Smoker and Tashigi are doing. Back as the new CP9 Arc was starting, the ice fruit user (forget his name), said that Smoker wanted to give Luffy a messege. Luffy, in his hot-headedness, ignored it and wanted to fight. I really want to know what that messege was. We have not seen much Smoker and Tashigi since Arabasta.

Smoker does seem to have a level of admiration for Gol D. Roger, so I am wondering if it is beyond the realm of possibility that he and his side-kick might join the Straw Hat gang at some point. There are three types so far: Zoan (animals, such as Pell's falcon, Dalton's bison, and Lucchi's leopard. I think Chopper's human fruit also goes here), Logia (elemental fruits, where your body becomes that element such as Smoker's smoke fruit, Crocodile's sand fruit, and Ace's fire fruit), and finally Paramecia (not sure the description for this, but Luffy's rubber fruit, Alvida's smooth fruit, and I think Buggy's bara-bara fruit go in this group). So to recap, Zoan, Logia, Paremecia.

Question. Have you ever seen the original, unedited Japanese language version, or do you only watch the dub shown on TV? I ask, because they are, essentially, two entirely different shows.

It's awsome, this big world with so many advantures. It's very interestening. I don't know the englisch dub, because I see it only in japanese or german. So I can't say anything about it. My fav. character is Zorro/Zolo. I love him. He's so cool <3
But I like Lysop/Ussop to. I think I like him, because he isn't strong like Zolo, Luffy or Sanji.

I have seen One Piece a long time ago. It doesn't come in TV, but i read the Mangas. I love them. Eiichiro Oda is the best Mangaka I know, next Masashi Kishimoto and Hiroyuke Takei.

I think One Piece isn't childisch or somthing like that. I mean, which person eat his own leg? as exaple.

Any time I attempt to watch the dub for One Piece, I am left with a feeling of pity towards children, since the people responsible clearly think kids are retarded or something.

I have been wondering this since K-F has been on the current (Skypiea) Arc, but for those who have seen/read it, do you think anyone in the world (other than Luffy) could defeat Enel?

Also, did nobody find a problem with things such as the "poison suction cups" or Bellemere being sent to the dungeon as opposed to being killed, or Nami and Usopp's "rubber knife" as opposed to her stabbing her hand? You also can't discount the fact that the episode 70 something in the dub is the same as episode 100 something in the original. They cut 30+ freaking episodes, and some of the cuts in episodes don't make any sense if you think about them (like the episode where Luffy and gang set out from Whiskey Peak and Usopp's explanation for the second eternal pose/how they work).

100% right Ichigo. The 4crud dub is putrid, simplistic and unfunny.

One Piece wasn't written for the 7-10 age group and to make if suitable for them it had to be ripped to shreds. I can understand taking out the swearing but did they have to make Usopp out to be a coward and hire only one person who could actualy act for the whole thing (For Zoro - a fan of the original).

The original is the most awesome thing ever! I love it. It's unique, has awesome characters, humour and moving scenes. It's exciting and after over 400 chapters is getting ever more interesting.
It's my favourite anime and manga.

It's utterly disappointing that 4Kids failed to come up with the right voice actors for the characters. All in all, I like the original One Piece, and the dubbed ... to put it bluntly: it sucked.

Yea,the guy who performed as Luffy looks as similar as Monkey D luffy! But, i think the Scar below his eye is quite big that makes it too obvious...

I have one on my pc and there was a triology on youtube.com about that scorpion guy, the last episode with trace. i like the part when scorpion's like "i love you guys...i never loved your mother, did you know that?" that was messed up yet funny. then he's saying he's gonna kill his kids by bashing their heads open.
