...why would you think you are the only one who has heard of it, when there are at least three threads in this forum about Ranma 1/2? There's one about which character are you, who's better suited, and someone's random fear that Ranma ends up with Nabiki... The only reason I'm allowing this thread to remain open and here is because it's about the show in general, and there has yet to be an actual thread for that concerning Ranma...

Anyway, Ranma was one of my earlier anime. The first thing I ever saw that was Ranma-related was the movie Nihao My Concubine. Heck of a way to be thrown into the Ranma storyline, I'll tell you what... I had no idea what was going on for the most part. Later, I watched as much of the series as I could find and read some of the manga. But, alas, I never managed to watch/read ALL of it. It's an incredibly long series.

I think my favorite characters are Mouse and Ryouga. Mouse because he seems like a dork at first, but he's incredibly skilled and totally dedicated to Shampoo. And, he's the only real pretty boy in the entire show. Ryouga just because he reminds me of me with how much he gets lost. And because he's P-chan. ^_^

not really theres only 165 episodes/38 mangasWhere do you get 165 episodes?

It's 161 episodes for the TV series, 11 for the OVA, and 3 movies.

If you haven't heard of it:

Ranma 1/2's a good series; it's a romantic-comedy written by Rumiko Takahashi. If you like Inuyasha you may like this one. (Mermaid Saga really good too!)

Um...even more than that, kiddies. 304 total from 1989-2002, with 7 seasons. You're only counting the first two seasons... And we mustn't forget the OVAs...and movies.

Besides, 161 by itself is a rather large number. And costs a lot of money to attempt to collect them all.

I own the first two seasons of Ranma 1/2 and two movies, I don't plan on getting the manga... Getting the anime version is hard enough. But yeah, it's one of the best series i've known, and to think I only found out about it two years ago.
