Pffft, those puny star trek ships are slow as hell, it takes them decades to get from one quadrant to another!

Hyperdrive equiped ships do that in a few days, maybe a week.

uh... guy who said the enterprise: warp speed doubled in the time between original and TNG. so warp 10 original is warp 5 TNG and beyond. and it was only decades for the Voyager cuz their ships arent designed to go across the galaxy. nerd power aside,
FAST MECH: fleas from mechwarrior/assault: theys weak but they can hit 120+ KPH. you put a pair of jumpjets on those and they will jump like the hulk
FAST MECH: the RahXephon. that thing can keep up with the fastest fighters ever known to man. its gotta be fast. though weird things keep appearing in the cockpit
FAST SHIP: the Nirvana. that thing made a Voyager-ish journey in about 250 days.
FAST SHIP: ships off of BSG. they get the jump coordinates right and BAM! intstant travel

okay first, star trek is terrible, and the fastest ship would be well wait i dont really know any anime ships that are fast, all that i can think of is star wars.

Still, they can't travel from one quadrant to another in a few days. In fact, no star trek race aside from the borg can do that, and they use transwarp conduits, which does not count as a ship's speed.

I would think the fastest mecha is from Vandread 2nd stage is Vandread Meia more of hybrid fighter kind of fast and deadly. ^^

yeah VD meia is the fastest of the single VDs, but VD pyoro is all the ships combined so it hands all the others their As on a platter

It has been stated that the ships from the MACROSS series can travel through space at a rate of 6 light years a minute through the use of space folds. I still like the VD Pyoro just because.

I do refer the VF-19 the Custom Excallibur from Basara's mecha it has to be the fastest ever. :cool:

I have no idea which is the fastest ship, but Gunbuster is the fastest mecha. It can travel at the speed of light. And then there's Shin Getter, which I have no idea since they have only talked about it at 10% of its real power.

I'm not sure whether or not ships through Space fold or the Ships in Crest of the Stars are faster.

But the fastes mech would have to be the VF-22, not only could it be equipped with a fold system, but it's regular propoulsion speed in the Assault of the 4th planet of the Vartua system was mind boggling.

Indeed true. That ship is kinda an awesome spaceship that is very fast because of higher mobility ratings.

Meia's fusion ship with Hibike on vandread, or the outlaw star one. Or for a better known one spike's swordfish on Cowboy bebop. That thing is incredibly fast...or looks like it. Plus it looks cool =]
