Gundams, Melefs, or Evas?

I just thought I would call up a vote on which you all like better. Gundams, Guymelefs, or Evangelions...
Personally, I prefer Gundams.

I voted for Gundam but i will retract that and vote for Eva, Eva after all was the vessel of the armageddon of the world, unit-01 wipped the world clean with nothing more than a thought of the pilot.

Honestly, I expect this Poll to be heavily biased in favour of Gundams.
But I hope Melefs and Evas get some respect too.

You are, of course, 100% correct. Gundams are, in my opinion, the most superior weapons ever conceived. However, Evangelion is consiousness capable of rewriting existence itself. No Gundam can boast that.

^^; Then of course added in the Lance, for that much added flair. But Shinji really isn't the most stable person piloting such a powerful being, as we saw in EoE. Knowing him he would just erase everything and cry about it later.

Heh, yes Shinji is far from stable. He is not someone I would want to have the fate of the human race in his hands. I suppose, he is better than some others though.

but that seems to be unfair considering that an Eva is a "super robot" and Gundam's are tactical weapons and get destroyed easily, Guymalefs should be able to win this as these are magically powered... though i seem to suggest that evas have mystical powers themselves

Eva's are.... well, hard to explain even after seeing the series several times. Anyway, Eva's aren't robots, they are organic lifeforms covered in protective armor/restraints.

All Eva's can generate an AT field so no matter what in a battle they would probably win, provided they have the power supply to stay active.

Seriously though, if they were all fighting, Gundams would utterly slaughter Evas and Melefs. Especially if we are talking about Gundams from the Cosmic Era Timeline. ZGMF-X20A Strike Fredom Gundam... ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam... So freaking glorious... and powerful...
However, this is poll about which is your favorite, not which is stronger...

really when you think about it gundams a pretty rubbish, would a gundam on its own hold out agisnt EVA 01 whrns its berserker? and would a gundam be able to beat a guymelef in close-renge combat?

Eva's are a vessel of God. But then I went and thought about it. And I am not the biggest fan of Gundam Wing - But Zero Custom does have Angel Wings. Sumbolic? Possibly. Furthermore A Twin beam cannon = Pure destruction. So adding that onto it's speed and manuver attritbutes. Plus its close range combat skills. Really make this Gundam a destructive force. Almost unfair. Plus its nearly weightless for the type of destruction it is capiable of. Maybe I am just sold on that Twin Beam cannon being the best weapon in Gundam. But I don't know.

It took the power output of most of Japan to pierce Ramiel's AT Field. Course we don't know how Unit 01's field compares to his, but I don't think that the duel buster rifle will have the power. Sachiel's AT field was one of the weaker ones and it was able to hold off an N2 mine for the greater part. Plus if damaged the Eva's can regerate.

I think some of you are blowing the Eva's power way out of proportion. the fact remains that Unit01 could never even hit Impulse, let alone Destiny, Freedom, Justice, Providence, Legend, Strike Freedom, or Infinite Justice! Not to mention the DRAGOON system in place in some of those suits. That is extremely effective.
I, however, have simply one question. Do you think that Unit 01 could withstand the GENESIS Superweapon? It is not a Gundam, but is is disgustingly powerful.
Evas are not that powerful...
As to Melefs, well sorry but they have absolutely no chance against a Gundam.

Not to mention that the AT field can be manipulated into a weapon itself. Also the Eva's have aditional armor so even if you could beat the AT field you'd still have the armor plating to go through and if you dont kill it right then it has the chance to regenerate.

BTW are you saying that a gundam could withstand being shot by genesis? There's really no point in arguing that one.

Same here don't get me wrong I think gundams are the coolest, but really they aren't that strong.

Of course I am not saying that Gundam can withstand Genesis, I was merely pointing out that Evas are not all-powerful.
Look, this is obviously a matter of opinon. So there is really no point in debating. I believe Gundams to be stronger than Evas, that make me right.

Eva's aren't exoskelatal suits... They're not even robots. They're genetic mutations of human DNA (EVE's DNA) who's brains are superceded by that of another mind.

Gundams follow absolutely no laws of physics.

Guymelefs are WAY too slow considering how fragile they are.

Where are the Armored Cores? The Metal Gears? The Patlabors? Voltron? Zoids? Mechwarriors?

I can go on forever about mecha, but you left a lot of very prominent mecha out...

But my personal favorite...

Yes I did leave out a lot of mecha, but I did it intentionally.
This is not a "What is your favorite kind of mecha?" poll, it is what you like best out of Gundams, Evas, and Melefs.
Also, Evangelions are exoskeletal suits. You reside in a cockpit, and control a large humanoid construct/molecular mass. Whether it is biological or not is irrelevant.
Gundams follow a cast plethora of physics laws, and Melefs are fragile because they were made in a time not unlike a modified dark age/renaissance period!

Lets say a fight between (i don't know the gundams pilots really...) Heero and Shinji. One side you have a really strong gundam, with a good pilot. On the other side you have a really strong Eva, that can go rabid, and also generate an AT field, piloted by a very mental unstable person. Could a be a very interesting match indeed...........

Sake, ya know there a magazine called AnimeInsider and they already put gundam versus Eva. They do it i every issue with all these anime people who would put up an interesting fight against each other. Like Vash vs. Spike! they did that one before. They are just bassically telling a story about how they fight and what who pulls off these moves and then they have 'The Winnah!'

Its funny. but its also dumb how some people win in some of them.

actually that fight wouldnt last long, if the EVA didnt rip the gundam to shreds it could just stamp on it, EVAs are like 30 meters high or sommit really stupid like that, still EVAs are the bast:awe: bow down to Unit01, and a Guymelef are these wierd mecha off Escaflowne, there pretty cool, but quite fragile

Technically, Unit 01 doesn't even need the S2 engine. Don't forget it moved on its own without any pilot input or power 3 different times, killing an angel in 2 of those, all before it ate the S2 engine.

true, but it gets one later on, and it gets it the best way possible

i would like to see if a melef could beat a gundam but theyd all be killed by the EVA, also remeber this the EVAs armour isnt armour its restraints so what would happen if say all three EVAs shatterd there bindings? CARNAGE!

There's one thing you guys are'nt giving credit for, the Stealth Function of the Guymelfs. Gundams are'nt exactly equipped for dealing with Stealth , since it has never been adopted for their world.

Then there are the Crima Claws of the Zaibach edition floating Guymelfs. Think of a blade weapon that could shift into any form it wished. Yes, Gundams are weak against other types of bladed objects if anyone recalls Heavy Arms' .. Ahem "Giant Freaking Switchblade." and Sand Rocks Chakralike thingies.

Speed wise, they are more agile than Gundams and equally as Agile as Evas and can equip sniper like weaponry. Which would make taking down the Gundams quite easy.
Radars don't detect metal objects propelled through the air as heat signatures, so the cockpit or the head of a gundam would be the likely target.

Escaflowne,it could handle most of the gundams in strictly basic combat.
Evas is another story, as both have a limited amount of time before they expire and stop functioning.

Moveable fingers, something Gundams don't have. Evas and Guymelfs have those and fully functional joints which allow them to dodge and weave basic combat.

i totally forgot that Melefs could go stealth *hits self with HUGE wodden mallet* so theres a poit up for melefs and if i remeber the main melef on Escaflowne could transform into a dragon, am i right? (gomen, i havnt seen Esca for a while)
